Twelve-year-old Dre Parker could have been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying but the cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre's feelings make him an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han, who is a kung fu master. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life.

Cheng became friends with Dre in the end. Just because Dre won him in the competition, Cheng realized his total mistake about how he bullied him before... his friends too. But at least they were in the end, sorry, after Dre won and all of them bowed down and showed respect to Dre's master who taught him. Nice scenes. One of my favourite Jackie Chan movies. My next favourite Jackie Chan movie is " Gorgeous". It's romantic, entertaining and cool.

If your opponents leg is so injured that he has to stand on one leg, why would you ever bother to approach him? He cant possibly approach you safely and standing like that for an extended period of time would exhaust him for sure.

This movie would have been good if it was it's own thing but instead of simply being a remake, it's so glaringly obvious they're trying to 1up and be better than the original. Ironically it's one of the few remakes that failed in that aspect.
