To say I admire Jeff Barron is to understate it. The skills he's developed over the years, the work ethic, the obviously very healthy relationship with his daughter. That guy is really living life. No sleep walking through it here.
Hey Jeff, I grew up and still live in Southeast Al. Raised on a farm and all the good ol country ways. Cutting firewood, Grinding cane for juice and making syrup. Hog & Deer skinning. and eating turtle soup. Even used to drag my daughter around in the woods before daylight, listening for that thundering gobble. Your videos take me back. Great Job ! Keep up the great work ! Keeping it Country !
Enjoyed the video! Jack of all trades. I can thank my Dad for teaching me all I know about everything. To all the Dads that taught their sons/daughters, " Thanks Dad, we love yall!"
Jeff be doing some MacGyver moves when it comes to fixing stuff I tell you what. Lol Fixing the throttle cable with some copper electrical wire? Boy that's some quick thinking right there. Good job Jeff. 👍😉
Jeff, great music selection. I didn't appreciate the size of that tree until you walked over to it. i like watching your sawyer technique, you are extremely efficient in your moves. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you. Your videos are always good and the video quality is excellent. I am super impressed with your off the cuff, no printed plan building. You definitely are BLESSED.
Been a city boy all my life and I have nothing but respect for you sir. I have a hard time going to Home Depot for wood for a book shelf and you have a whole saw mill. New to your channel and I am impressed. Well done
Jeff I love these kinds videos. I went to college for Forestry Technology. So I have went to every saw mill and paper mill around here. We also had to learn how to survey and grade timber and lumber. I really learn a lot from watching you on your mill. So thank you for sharing everything that you do. Love it.. PRECIATE Yall.
Ur Amazing Jeff U do it ALL Craftsmanship is Awesome as well U don't waste nothing...👏👏👏👊 Enjoy and Preciate Y'all 💕 Both U and Hannah make the Best Father and Daughter Team 👨👧💕😊
I lije the bluegrass music. Heard lots of it having grown up near bristol,tn/va in northeast Tennessee. My best friends dad had a bluegrass band. They use to pick and grin at the Sykes family house on most weekends.
Yes sir always enjoy the sawmill videos. Seriously looking into 1 for myself. I really like how you have it up off the ground. I see people sawing right down on ground level and it makes my back hurt watching it lol.
I was a yard hand for a building material business several years ago blue wood was a cull or not desired , now days blue wood is a treasure. How times change
Welcome Back Jeff, I Love watching you work. Sure glad Hannah got you doing your own videos, is there anything you can't do buddy? Your amazing as is your daughter. Say Hello to Lisa for me too. 👍👍👌👍
Hey, Jeff: Your making all us other guys look pretty bad, compared to how busy and knowledgeable you are at everything. You can do anything you put your mind too. So Cool!!
Looks good , I to have spent a couple years working on a wood mizer sawmill . Love the smell of fresh cut lumber . Well most anyways , some wood is not pleasant smelling . Ceder is my favorite . Hard work but very refreshing . Way better than a factory sentence . Now all you need is a pellet maker for sawdust and scrap . Keep on cutting
I like the way you work in the prior boards with bark still on the edge into one of your next passes to knock the bark edge off. Most all the people I watch seem to save all their boards and clean them up later. that just seems like a lot of extra work moving material to me. Why not work them in like you do and save yourself a saw pass and be done with the board. That to me looks like someone with experience versus someone that went out and bought themselves a sawmill for the sake of new youtube material. nice work. stay safe and stay healthy. treat your body like you plan on using it 10 years from now.
I envy you Jeff lol I gotta buy my lumber and good god almighty it’s higher than giraffe nuts right now. Great video but I’m honestly sad we only got to see you cut one log up on the mill. Idda like to seen the finished pile of lumber you had when you was done 👍🏼 keep em comin brother, much love from Oklahoma ✌🏼
your definetly lucky to have a mill. i was gathering materials to build a small shop this spring and that has been put on hold. have been looking at small mills. if these prices dont give soon that will be my next step. it will be a good investment anyhow. keep on grinding buddy.
Ive got hemlock here in northeast ontario on my mountain top property that you couldnt even come close to wrapping your arms around.Im going to figure out the board feet out of curiousity on one of those big boys. The deer yard up all winter in these stands due to deep snow and browse.
Hi i like finishing wood the high shine sealer i use for refinish stock for rifles that what makes them look so good! there a bar top sealer too it for weight to stiffen plastic stocks this stuff has to be done out side to seal it I have a paint problem air suit was damaged i got sick! I was painting mail trucks back in 1987 to 1992 the air system failed in my suit clean air important when painting that yucky stuff! i like working with wood it helps me relax and forget the bad things in my past!
Great video there just wondering do you go get the wood kilm dried I had some pecan wood i had a piece of furniture made into but found i have a wood worm eating it from the inside out
It was a joke I figured some electrical people may find it funny that he went with the more expensive wire compared to other residential wires like 14/2 being cheaper.
My Lithuanian goddaughter got a wood kiln and the government gave them cigarette butts to burn in the boiler. The exhaust air was like a sauna. Amazing how much moisture comes out of the wood.
What kinda pines are those in Alabama? The ones here in Texas are a lot thicker and shorter and I can grab the bottom branches without a ladder, at least around my house.
seriously .. what sort of flog gives this man a thumbs down !? Jeff is a bloody legend .. and has the most interesting videos on youtube .. Get Around Him preciate ya from Australia 👍🏻

Been a city boy all my life and I have nothing but respect for you sir. I have a hard time going to Home Depot for wood for a book shelf and you have a whole saw mill. New to your channel and I am impressed. Well done
You don't realize how big the tree is, until he stands next to it.
You're not wrong. I thought it wouldn't be that big until he kept walking away from the camera.
20 iches at the base, give or take a bit. Nice tree.
@@MrClarkisgod

Hey, Jeff: Your making all us other guys look pretty bad, compared to how busy and knowledgeable you are at everything. You can do anything you put your mind too. So Cool!!
Nice, I have a sawmill and enjoy making lumber. No pine where I’m at, it’s all hardwoods. Wish I had a pine thicket like that! Good video!

Ive got hemlock here in northeast ontario on my mountain top property that you couldnt even come close to wrapping your arms around.Im going to figure out the board feet out of curiousity on one of those big boys. The deer yard up all winter in these stands due to deep snow and browse.

Nice logs make nice lumber.
Boraxo on the stumps keeps them beetles down...long needle pine... js
Jeff when you get time can you explain how to figure what size cuts on what size log
Looks like the arm is fully recovered!
Great video there just wondering do you go get the wood kilm dried I had some pecan wood i had a piece of furniture made into but found i have a wood worm eating it from the inside out
Great video thanks again
How long you let your lumber dry before you use it! Pine beatles are bad here in Tennessee to!!
6mos if its dry ,other wiser its a yr
What hardwoods do you have in the states. We have a saying here in Australia hardwood hard work.
🙏👍 good to see this ol' woodamizer
12-2 you fancy Jeff! Sir.
Actually is was a piece of 12 gauge not 12-2. 2 just means a pair of conductors, he only used 1
Yeah, but I got 2 more to replace that one. I just figured that people come identify with the single wire coming from a scrap of 12-2 with ground.
@@jeffbarron70 love your videos. Didnt mean to sound like an ass!! :)
