For those wondering (and note for myself in the future):
-for the 36th measure, he plays D-F-A-(D)-E
-in the 37th measure, he plays 10th fret 2nd string before 10th fret 3rd string
and in the 58th measure he seems to be slipping in an E between the F and the D (3rd string 9th fret)

It has been a great example of how Django plays arpeggios over chords and links them together. I still have so much to learn from how this solo is constructed.

it seems that everyone has a different way of playing this song. If i remember correctly you had another video with a tab that was quite a bit different and I myself learned it yet another way and it's so ingrained in my muscle memory I don't really wanna learn it all over again
Ohh don't worry at a point you can play in a lot of different way..
Been tackling this one myself recently... this is fairly close to the Django version! :) (And the chords are a bit different, but sounds good!)

I am excited to be learning more intricate music on the guitar. Since I am a violin/fiddle player, the guitar raises my awareness 100 fold since it is much more illogical or should I say challenging in the way it is tuned in 4ths and of course the B string in 3rds. When playing the violin I ‘hear’ the intervals, but not on guitar. Plus the reach is also a challenge. But if Django can do it with 2 fingers I thought... “just do it and focus on the upcoming challenge!”

yeah it may be strange but in fact he used some position that helps a'd the mobility of the hand is mor horizontal like that... not easy but if you work it its quite OK... :)

Thank you for uploading this, it's really helpful! I did notice a small error in bar 20, you play a semiquaver triplet but you have notated a quaver triplet. Bar 20 has 4.5 beats in it as a result instead of 4.

Bonjour, je viens de découvrir avec plaisir cette vidéo et tente de mettre en place ce solo. Néanmoins j'ai un problème à la troisième mesure de l'improvisation, c'est à dire après l'intro. Cette mesure me pose un problème dans sa mise en place car elle commence par un silence de 1 temps et demi, ensuite croche, double croche, triolet de croche (donc un temps) et croche..... Sauf erreur de ma part, il y a un demi temps de trop. Pour la mise en place il vaut mieux enlever lequel? D'ailleurs Guitar Pro signale aussi qu'il y a un problème dans cette mesure. Soit dit entre parenthèse c'est pareil 10 mesures plus loin. Les temps ne semblent pas coller. Merci pour cette vidéo.

I think that measure 20 possibly contains a rhythmic error in your standard notation. The triplet in that measure is a sixteenth note triplet rather than eighth note triplet, no? I could be mistaken though. The arpeggio in measure 36 is noted differently from how you played it too I think (written as A-D-F-E but you play D-F-A-(D)-E

You have to choose scales depending of the chord... One which works on every one is Am harmonic, but even you have to be careful to play adaquate notes depending of the chords! :)
