Thanks for the brilliant video mate , it was very helpful , I asked the people at Spinny Motorhomes where I bought it from and they were about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. Thanks once again 👍👍

You’re welcome. Main reason I did it was the total lack of info when I was weighing up doing it myself or not!

Looks great- but aren’t your pins the wrong way up?

I have wanted to fit a carrier to my 79-4, so watched your video which was a great help. Fitted the carrier no problem but found it hard to get it locked in position with the wheel on it, but managed to do it. Did you find it hard to close the carrier? Do you know what the part no. of the carrier is please? Mine is 2140411 which fits various models including the 79-6 & 79-4.

Hi Paul. Yes it's 2140411, standard al-ko part I believe for their chassis. You can get it from Prima or other suppliers online. I'm guessing it would probably fit any van with this variant of al-ko chassis. And yes, also found it difficult to lift up and pin but I think that's mainly because of the weight and because the wheel pushes up tight to the rubber bung, to ensure it doesn't bounce around. Luckily it's hopefully not something that we will need to do too often! Glad you found the video useful.

@@mohofamilyadventures3240 Yes I got mine from Prima. Went back onto their site and they do anither one (which is £80 dearer for some reason) and its exactly the same one but without the bar that converts it to a 15" wheel. So I guess its just going to be a tight fit. Cheers mate.
