      @@diamondsaphire3444 😥 Tornado Alley is not for the faint of heart, though one of these can happen almost anywhere.
      I used to always have recurring dreams of being in or near a tornado, in a variety of situations; one I watched it skirt by within a few blocks of where I was standing; another I rode out inside a tall office building. The dreams are always so real I wake up in fear of these things. One reason why I'd like to go on a chase once just to confront the fear I feel when I have a dream with a tornado in it. I've never seen one or been near one, but the dreams are vivid enough to strike fear. Would like to be face-to-face with one just to get it outta my system.

    • @briane173
      @briane173 Місяць тому +20

      It's unique that it was surviving beneath the cloud base. What you're seeing here is in fact what is happening within a developing thunderstorm, and usually when the windshear reaches max vorticity that's when the tornado will tilt toward the ground and travel in the typical vertical orientation. This one stayed horizontal for a _long_ distance and still curled down to the surface. You _very_ rarely see that _under_ the cloud base as opposed to _within_ the cell itself.

      Tornadoes themselves are invisible, they are made of air. What you see is either the condensation funnel (where pressure drops enough that water droplets, aka clouds form) or debris. Usually the tornado itself is larger than it appears by just looking at it, the funnel may be only the inner most core but it can still be very damaging outside of it

    1:46 "How is this not tornado warned". I've noticed that a few times locally over the past couple of years even when there is clear rotation on radar. We even had an instance where an EF1 tornado was down for nearly two miles and had lifted before the warning was issued. Rotation had been visible on that cell for 10-15 minutes before the tornado dropped. I'm not sure if the NWS uses an algorithm to assist in flagging potential tornados on radar or if it's all manual, but there is certainly room for improvement.

      David who mistreated Black people in the past but later regretted his actions and sought to make amends. It's important to acknowledge the complexity of this situation and the emotions involved.
      1. **Acknowledging Mistakes**: It's commendable that David acknowledged his past actions and expressed remorse for mistreating Black people. Recognizing and taking responsibility for one's mistakes is an important step towards personal growth and reconciliation.
      2. **Desire for Change**: David's desire to change his ways and make a positive impact by working to address systemic discrimination against Black individuals is a positive sign of personal growth and a commitment to doing better.
      3. **Inner Turmoil and Guilt**: The description of David experiencing distress, seeing the faces of Black people in his dreams and feeling burdened by guilt reflects the inner turmoil he may be experiencing. Guilt can be a powerful emotion that drives individuals to seek redemption and make amends for their past actions.
      4. **Seeking Forgiveness**: David's expressed wish to change his thoughts about African-Americans and his concern about facing consequences for his actions, such as going to hell, indicate a deep sense of remorse and a desire for forgiveness.
      5. **Personal Transformation**: David's journey highlights the complexities of personal transformation and the challenges of confronting one's own biases and prejudices. It is a process that requires self-reflection, accountability, and a commitment to growth and change.
      In summary, David's story underscores the importance of acknowledging past mistakes, seeking to make amends, and striving for personal growth and reconciliation. It also highlights the internal struggles and complexities involved in confronting one's biases and seeking forgiveness. It's crucial to approach these issues with empathy, understanding, and a commitment to learning and doing better in the future.

    Unusual, the funnel goes up inside the cloud rather than up until the cloud... and with blue sky behind it. Nice long weird shape funnels too.
