Since the very first game in 1997 this series never ceased to amaze me. Everytime Gran Turismo came to a new PS system it has always set the bar and they have done it once again ‼️

The menus in GT were always so slick.
Game itself looks good, but for PS5 i expected the trees and nature to look a bit better, also i saw LOD changing at a certain distance. I hope they will polish that part up a bit.

You act as if PS2 models have the same amount of detail as PS5 ones. most of the PS2 models don't even have interiors

tbh Gran Turismo hasn't been all that relevant since the PS2 days hardly anyone talks about it the only time the spotlight gets shined on this game is when a new one is coming after that the hype dies almost instantly even back in the PS2 days NFS got talked about more than any GT game did and that was because NFS was one of the pioneers of open world racing titles whereas Gran Turismo was and still is stuck on the whole track only racing theme which eventually everyone gets bored of

I really hope they allow you to customise your cars like in GT 5, because I hate how everyone in online lobbies basc have the same standard cars, nothing to help stand out
There’s plenty you could do in livery editor though to make your car stand out, I’d say Sport had the most customisation regarding visuals
Putting wings and shit on cars doesnt always make them better anyway and if you think you cant stand out on gt sport with a livery alone you stupid aswell

I'll say it again it was a mistake to stream the event at 108p 30fps. This looks so king sick I almost feel sorry for people who don't see this trailer and have made their mindset that this game looks nothing special.
Take a look to the left mirror. Please pause the image at 4k in the 2:04 minute, for example. There is a Sawtooth in the mirror.
0:30 is it still 2d tree ? it looks like at least low polygon & 2d tree.
To be fair if you can notice the detail on the tree while playing, then you are going way to slow, not paying attention to the race or both. But yeah its been like that for every racing game because why the hell put resources in to making tree look good when you can put them into making the interiors look as good as they do.

Hope the visual quality and dynamics will be much more than realistic when it finally drops. I'm ready to lose hope in Gran Turismo as a whole if this GT7 doesn't address most of its issues in the former versions.

Swore off of new GT games after the travesty that was GT Sport, but this game actually looks like it could have the feel of a GT game. Especially with some of the old tracks
GT sport was never meant to be a full fledged Gran Turismo game. it was always meant for competitive play

Looks like they're using RT reflections, at least in the "cutscenes". Understandable, you don't want any performance degradation in during gameplay with all the very reflective cars going around.

@Collidiscope ? the ps5 is a full blown pc just with a different operating system. The limitations console players had to be used to in the past are gone. This looks just as good as it will on any current PC regardless if its a 5700 XT or a 2080 TI

Forza is nowere near Gran Turismo, GT is way better ... then again asetto corsa is even better physics but less controller friendly

every console gen takes a year or so to warm up. i was still on ps3 for like a year or even longer before i started playing my ps4 a lot. it sat & collected dust for like a year until i started finding good games

Gran Turismo 7 actually looks like Gran Turismo Sport if you're playing with a PS4 Pro in performance mode. It's also how I prefer to play GT Sport.
Its double the frame rate of the pro and has far more detail in lighting

Ok, it's not a Driveclub 2 graphics, but I hope for a proper day/night transition, lots of content and great campaign. There is plenty of room for improvement over Gt sport (great game though), but I hope they will maintain realism of Gt sport (or better).

So they still haven’t fixed the way the driver holds the steering wheel... Who holds a steering wheel like that? Why does it only turn 90 degrees? You can have the best graphics in the world, but things like that just ruin the game you call a “simulator”. I remember after watching the gt5 trailer it made me want to buy the ps3. I can’t say the same about this one.
