EASY CRIB MATTRESS PORCH SWING BUILD

- We always wanted one of those cool twin bed porch swings but, 1 - I didn't have a twin mattress lying around and 2 - it wouldn't have fit on our small porch anyways.
So I decided to make a crib mattress porch swing instead.
Our video of the build went viral on TikTok, Instagram and UA-cam so naturally everyone wanted plans... so, I made plans. But to make sure they were good enough to ask $5 for I gave them to my lovely wife, who has never used power tools before, and asked her to build one... and I filmed the process... and turned it into a tutorial at the same time.

My daughter and I (ages 29 & 55) built this swing from start to finish for her house in just a couple hours and it turned out great! My only concern is how heavy it is. We are going to make another for my house but wonder if using 1x wood for subfloor and rails would lighten it up without making it too flimsy. Opinions?
