I've always wanted this model, sadly it's very expensive where I live, regardless, beautiful model. Looking forward to the day I'm able to get my hands on one of these!
Been checking weekly for any new vids! Great to see you again. I got anxious just contemplating the ridiculous amount of nitpicky painting to be done on those things!!! Good God!! You do all that unseen detail stuff, because You Know it's been done! This is one kit I will Not be buying! Those friggin containers would have been gone, and that ship turned into a post-apocalyptic aircraft carrier or something! Turned out awesome!
Dan, looks great. I understand how you feel with the no energy, been focused on work and renovations, so no modeling here. You hit the containers spot on, they get beat up quite a bit from ship to rail to truck to ground then repeat. So your weathering was spot on. Was wondering if you had stopped modeling all together with the ship chasing channel. Looking forward to the next project.
Thanks for your understanding. As for Ontario Ship Chasers, the content there is more editing, which I can do while making supper. As well our trip in November gave us enough material for almost 20 videos.
I have that same kit now I can see that I can’t build it until I find some decals like you had done yours turned out fantastic sir awesome detail work I love it
I was wondering what had become of this build, and I'm glad to see it came together so well, especially those containers with all the different logos on them. I'm sure it took a lot of commitment and dedication to see this through but it has paid off in the end.
That is amazing! I just started with colombo express and also thinking about how to randomise containers. I`ve 10 years experience on the merchant fleet and know that vessels almost never loaded fully.
Thanks for your feedback. I hope you enjoy your build. I have to agree, as impressive as the PR shots are with a 100 percent load of identical boxes are, it almost never happens.
Gret build, if I understood correctly, some of the decals were designed to cover the entire side of the containers. Is that correct? If so did you match the paint colour for the rest of the containers each decal was placed on?
Yes I tried to match the decal colour as closely as possible, however except for the containers on top, usually you can only see one face of any given container.
First a question: do you need to spray the containers white before you color them (if you don't mind that about the orange)? Or can you just paint them when they're grey? And how many coats of orange and black did you use for the base? Also, it turned out so cool! I like how you added all the extra custom details! Also the ''aaah'' at 12:07 had me laughing! Have a nice day, stay healthy and get enough rest! (Also, could you see my comment on part 2 and 1 if you're reading this one, and haven't read the other ones? :D )
Sorry I am sometimes slow to respond to comments (I work 2 jobs plus produce 2 UA-cam channels) I would definitely spray the container stacks with some flat white before painting on any other colours (especially orange or yellow). One coat was enough for most colours. Good luck and enjoy.
Thanks for the advise! Don't be sorry for responding late! It's fine! You are working hard and a little rest is also good. I'm just so excited so thats why I was asking you to respond. Sorry for that and have a fun time building models!😊
I've got bad news. I spent some time this last week looking for the art work I used to make the photo copy with and I can't find it. (It was 10 months ago) I can't just reprint it because as I stated in the video the program I used is damaged and though I can print, I can't save. I had planned to put the original somewhere safe but obviously I didn't. Sorry!

Just finished your 3rd video very interesting. I have this model yet to build but your build was excellent and the finished ship is brilliant 👍

I needed to be in the mood, and for much of the last few months I wasn't. But I am happy with how it turned out.
Wow that’s a fantastic build, to work your way through all those containers is dedication and done extremely well, looks amazing
Thank you!

Thank you!
Thanking you for sharing! Glad that you are back! Good to see your hands and hear your voice! Did you give it a spray of flat when you were done?
Thanks! Most of the containers were pretty flat already.
