    Yes you still do the shoeing the real way. As a girl we had horses and watching you brings back great memories.Thanks for doing the work the way you do and also for sharing.🐎

    The last time I put shoes on was 1989. On my Appaloosa gilding he was a great cutting and hurding Horse. The one I miss the most was my Jack Buro, he was great with the kids.

    Some people might hate me for saying this but I don't know why but it's kinda satisfying cause the sounds but that's just what I thought 😐😐😐😐😐😐

    Yay! We get to follow Gary around the underside of a horse again. Such a fun way for me to unwind after a very long day at work place (only after a visit with my own mare). Kinda sounds like you caught a bit of a summer cold though. Hope Ralph got tossed in the nearest creek with a bar of soap! Better yet, off to the groomer for a bath and clipper cut. Quite the shaggy little chap.

    I just found this channel yesterday and I've already watched so many horseshoeing videos! They are so relaxing!
    But please oil your tongs 😂 the noise it makes is so horrible to listen to 😂😂😂

    Still amazes me that 40 years off shoeing horses and you still don’t use a hoof stand for the hind feet. Sir you are tougher than I. 💪👍😁

    • @garyhuston
      @garyhuston  5 років тому +3

    So the rear shoes are different than the front ones, as they have two ridges, for want of a better word, right?

    While watching this had a funny thought.
    I bet more guys watch this than clips about beauty salons. Even though is essentially the same thing.
    Other than that, great vid and do you know if these are studied in farrier schools?

      He's got a Go Pro camera attached to his head with a miner's light rig. You can see the camera set up really well on his shadow on the ground at the 32:13 - 32:24 marks.
