I have a silver 2017 lancer and currently looking for a Evo hood. Probably going to wrap the hood in carbon fiber. Just put a Yokohama muffler on it. Sounds great for a daily driver. Just a little more roar to the car. Might get a splitter like yours. Looks awesome! I also recently put drilled and slotted rotors and blue calipers on my ride. Easy and quick upgrade.
Why would you put drilled and slotted rotors on a stock car. I mean you're not pushing enough power to Merritt having a big brake kit like that. Yokohama does not make exhaust which means you probably put a Yoshimura pipe on it....which is stupid because that's a bike exhaust. It's not made for cars
I originally had a 2011 but got rear ended last August and unfortunately lost the car. I couldn't let go off having a Lancer and wound up getting a 2017 LE model w/ 29k miles on it and im absolutely happy with it! Idk what type of magic happen but I genuinely had an idea of taking an evo bumper and somehow combining both the front grill from the evo and the fog lights of the 2017 less than a week ago and here, on my UA-cam feed, this comes up! It definitely helps seeing a visual of how it looks like and gives me a bit of idea of what I may go for in the future for when I want to try my hand on doing this. Thanks for posting this video!
Glad you could get an idea of what it’d look like from the video! It’s definitely more unique than having a basic evo style bumper. I get a lot of looks and compliments !! If you do do something similar let me know, I’d like to see

If you have an Instagram you can check out a slightly updated photo of the car and I can answer more questions for ya! The 16-17 Lancers are super nice! And even with oem bumper you can still make them look super good too

Juan Espino I ordered mine from CarID. They’re Duraflex fenders and bumper but required a ton of work to look and fit proper. So don’t expect satisfaction without dropping a few thousand to get a shop to make it look good
I bought my 2016 lancer GT with 14k miles. I was never about speed, but I've dropped about 4k in cosmetic on mine.
I think I’m around 5kish cosmetic. My car is strictly for looks and speed will be for motorcycles! Do you have an insta? Curios to see what you’ve done!
@@quixote1528 i actually did think about making an instant for my car. I bought the car bone stock, but I don't even have an insta myself. Aside from snapchat for my girl last social media I had was a myspace in '06.
I wrapped the car, carbon fiber hood, rims, coilovers and lowered, carbon fiber diffuser, custom made sideskirt, exhaust tip, and intake.
Soon ill get the demon eye headlight, your bumper (looks very nice), bolted wide body kit, and a paint job
Not sure if you mentioned it in the vid, but where did you get the Evo look front bumper. The bumper on the 2017 lancer is 🤮. So where did you get the Evo one?
Kyle I ordered a Duraflex bumper, it looked like garbage... but I took it to a local shop that makes Pimp My Ride type of stuff, and they literally polished a turd. It looks great!
The rear of the Lancer always looked fat and chubby to me, I'd love to see if you could somehow make it look actually nice. If you can't tho, I'd love to see what you could do to the hood. I own a 2017 Lancer myself but have never had enough money to mod it, but hopefully in 2-3 years I'll have a stable teaching job that will give me more than enough money to work on it :)
Socracle I’d like to get a Seibon Carbon fiber hood some time in the future. For the rear id like a Varis rear bumper. They look great! I don’t like the bland look of the stock rear ends of our cars :/ and little by little man! Put a couple bucks to the side after each paycheck and soon enough you’ll have mod money!

would you reccommend just buying OEM front bumpers from wrecked EVOs etc. instead of spending so much money to fit the fiberglass ones?
Idk anything about the fitment from an oem evo bumper on a Lancer. I think you’ll need the fenders as well

Yes! The bumper was custom fabricated to look good and fit the fog lights and DRLs as if it were oem
I have the same car and my bumper is kinda broken and I wanna change it to that one too. Do I need to get the duraflex Evo X style front fenders too? So they can fit?
Sebastian Pineda I recommend the fenders.... if you’re going with Duraflex though which is what I have, you’re going to have to put a lot more money down to have a shop make it look amazing

Hey man looking to do these headlights on my lancer, have the same car and was wonderimg if the drl's in the headlight stay on when you turn your lights off and only your bumper drl's stay on? and if you can make it so the drls in headlights act like low beam or marker lights?
Would look good without that 2017 fogs+drl. IMO. ✌🏻

Don't get anything above 2016. Parts are hard to get. 2015 and under are cheaper
How much is the lancer when is modified
How much to sell? Unfortunately when you modify your car it doesn’t really increase the value :/

I ordered mine from CarID. Check them out. You could also look at Varis. Their bumpers I’m pretty sure are direct bolt on. Mine required work

Dollar Bills Lancers are actually pretty affordable. I got mine for hella cheap! I paid 6,700 for mine. It had 27k miles and basically looked brand new. No mechanical or cosmetic issues at all. Only catch was the title was rebuilt, no big deal. You can find a lot of fairly priced Lancers online. Always keep an eye out for a great deals!

Dollar Bills just keep browsing Craigslist or Facebook marketplace every day! You’ll come across great deals every now and then. You have to jump on them right away before someone else beats you to it

If I were you I’d do hood, spoiler, side skirt extensions, splitter, wheels. Most of those things are direct bolt ones with very little to non modification required. I ordered all of my parts from CARID

CuReD_bacon modifying a car is always “a waste of money”. It actually devalues the car, but we modify because we want to. I modified this car for myself and no one else with no intentions of making my money back. When you get your first car you’ll know homie

Was the duraflex worth it? I was planning to buy the bumpers but a lot of people said duraflex was a not good 😐 so im curious if duraflex is good or not.
Out of the box, Duraflex is wack. You would not be happy with it. I took it to a local fabrication shop and they worked their magic on it. It was very expensive but I’m very happy with the pay off... in the end it equaled up to parts if you were to order from Varis or something like that.
