Beautiful Weapon. I do not blame You for not shooting it . In My Youth : I shot everything I could lay My hands on ... I have grown more appreciative and considerate in My old age .

I am a M1911 builder and collector. The only one I don’t shoot is my 1917 manufactured Colt.

Lovely gun. Delighted to see this pistol. I feel there is absolutely no need to shoot a pistol like this as when you see one 1911 shooting you see them all as the viewer never gets the feel of the shooting experience . Only what you can see. It is enough to see the unboxing and review. Excellent video👍😀

I picked mine up today. Mine did not come with a Multitool, but I don’t mind I own several multi tools.
One single dig on it; slide to frame fit is leaning towards sloppy.

That's very weird mine is super tight.

@@biged7175 mine has the slide to frame fit of a Colt during the Bankruptcy Years of the 1980’s. It’s still a nice gun however you can slightly twist the slide with radial play. The slop is in the frame rails, not slide. It shouldn’t effect things too horribly. The barrel and bushing fit is flawless, and the feed of all steel snap caps is good. I have re built a few older M1911-A1’s with this level of radial play and interestingly, they are amongst my best builds because you have to cheat in order to make them jam or lock up. Going to put 50 rounds through it on Monday.

@@ScottAT interesting, I've never built a 1911 i might have to someday, you could always just buy another R1 frame probably would not cost that much.

@@biged7175 No need. I’m happy with it, I was just surprised the 100 year anniversary model would ship out with that much radial play. The barrel is fitted so well it won’t be an issue. I have ordered titanium internals and chrome silicon springs for it.

Hello Big Ed. First off I like all your videos. Second I think you should fire this gun. I know its more of a collector's piece, but what's the point of buying a tool and not using it. At least once to enjoy it. Hope you fire this gun and video it. Thanks.

Thank you Patrick most of my comments say just leave it, I'll probably stick with that. Keep an eye out for my newest video this Saturday it's a Cimarron Man with no name Colt SAA.

Choose to shoot it or not on your own. If it’s for investment leave it at that. There’s plenty of other 1911s to shoot. Sad to see what happened with Remington especially because it’s hundreds of jobs about a half hour from me gone. Always loved Remington but if they do anything with the gun part (company was broke up and sold to many different companies) it won’t be in NY. By the way we pronounce it ill-yen sounds so weird ill-e-on

So he bought a pistol that he has no intention of shooting. 🙄🙄. What is he nuts?? At least put a magazine through it to make sure it's working right. If it were me and I spend the money to buy the gun I'd at least fire it just to make sure it's working. But each there own.

@@biged7175 Do you prefer the 10mm over the 45 ACP, What I really meant in regards to the clunker, was a 1911 that you wouldn't get upset, if you dropped it, scratched it, or whatever mishap it might receive. yes the tax dollars come in handy especially with new things you have in mind. I never tell my Wife what i really get, with the Tax, that helps to.
