Here's another detail I've noticed, but no one talks about: When a helldiver wears heavy armor, you can hear the armor plates clanking while you walk. But light/medium armor doesn't have such sound.
They added a new detail to the game and that is when talking in game chat as in writing you can see your diver actually write on their not-pip boy strategem caller
If you go from a sprint into a crouch you will do a sweet lil dash kinda animation, you can use this to turn 180 and lay down cover fire real nicely, and to get your head out of the way of incoming rockets or bug bits. Speaking of rockets, you can shoot them down with weapons like the Breaker(s) and Arc weapons!
I noticed early on but still find it really cool - whenever you upgrade your ship, it's not just a change to the mechanics of the game, you can actually see the upgrades you made to your ship (there's also a preview on the upgrade screen). So when you're on a host ship, you can actually tell what the host has upgraded.

If you're interrupted during reload when you go to reload again the animation will pick up where you left off
your team mates panic when a 380mm barrage lands on a bot/bug and it starts running at you

#20 reminds me of Ghost Recon Wildlands and Breakpoint. That prone mechanic is what I have been wanting to be implemented in PUBG back then.

It's the attention to detail. Most people wouldn't even care if they used the same/generic character model on every ship.
