After about 1,600 miles on it I can say that It doesn't push me forward as much as the other seat. So it's much better in that sense. The seat does seem slightly harder than the OEM comfort seat. But it also has more surface area that supports your butt. So although slightly harder, it's more comfortable during long rides if that makes sense. It does seem to get me slightly lower to the ground which is nice as well.
Angle and the narrow width are my problem areas. All of the aftermarket seats so far have the same narrow front so all are a problem for me. Currently using a Sargent Adventure Touring seat. Ok but really not a big improvement vs. the cost.
I agree that the cost is a bit high. I feel like it should cost closer to $200-$250. But this seat carries your weight further ba k on your butt which is much more comfortable. I would probably buy it again if given the choice. If you ever have a chance to try the non adventure seat, I would recommend it.
It has only gotten better with time as it has broken in more. I did have an issue with the locking pin of the seat getting rounded off and no longer locking the seat down. But that issue was cause by the loose BMW seat lock. However, Sargent replaced the seat base, no questions asked. I'm very happy with them.
