I was in the military, and it's all familiar - tanks T-54, BTR-152 and BTR-50, BRDMs, PTURS 'Maliutka' and many other... Canal crossing plans were worked out by the Soviet advisors and ALL the equipment at that time was Soviet.
Soviets also had a massive resupply operation, equivelent to the well known US operation to resupply Israel. USSR also flew Mig-25 photo revon missions before the war started. Mig 25 was untouchable even by missiles over these short fast flights.

if Egypt lost, then Sinai would not be given back, i dont doubt the Egyptians won in Sinai, the Syrians lost the Golan Heights and werent able to get it back, but for sure i know the Syrians fought for it
There were never an Arab-Israeli war. In 48 a sophisticated Israeli army (most of its members had fought in WW2) battled Palestinian villagers and few militia members from Egypt and won. In 67 they fought against Jordanian bedouins and an Egyptian army mostly made of illiterate conscripts, then, It took the Egyptians less than 6 years to build a professional army that gave the Israelis their first real fight without air superiority and forced them to give the Sinai back. Military Israel took a beating even though it managed to come out on the top with the direct help of the Americans. Politically and strategically they won because they were successful in neutralizing Egypt and Jordan with the Camp David accords.
That is the price of underestimating the resolve of enemy. Israeli had just enchanted themselves on the victory of 6-days war over Arabs 6 years before.

@@Weary_Panda If it wasn't for the Syrians getting bogged down the Egyptian forces wouldn't have had to redeployed to cover their ass. It's not combat footage, but it's very interesting to see all the Soviet equipment that was supplied to Egypt at work. Politically and strategically they won because they were successful in neutralizing Egypt and Jordan with the Camp David accords.
lol, okay....shmuley.
