I think the 14's were the home run for them. Everyone mentions those the most. I personally love them. I bought the 15, but needed an entire size up. I returned them because wearing a size US 14 is not happening lol I'm glad to hear the rocker in the 16 is still the star, but so far everyone has loved these that have reviewed them.
@@robsnow2099 yeah leave it to Yowana for another hot take. He's the first I've seen to speak poorly about this shoe. I do appreciate that he calls it like he sees it.
Same. The Noosa 14 is one of my most comfortable shoes, no break in period, nice upper, no rubbing, no slippage, just put it on and forget about it. The ride soft but not sinking in the foam and I still run in it for easy runs or some hill repeats (have 900km's on my pair). I am a light forefoot striker and a supinator and a bit scared by the tall shoes.
So interesting to see different views on this shoe. On doctors of running, all 3 testers gave the Noosa straight A's in basically every category and I'm seeing many others love it also.
Love me some Yowana but it’s wild how a shoe can feel so different for runners. This is by far by shoe of the year at the moment. The cushioning, geometry, and bounce you get from the Noosa Tri 16 is so good for the light weight package this comes in. It can do absolutely everything I throw at it. ASICS have a banger in this shoe for my money. Keep grinding my man 💪
If you love the Noosa Tri 15, then you will love the #16 even more, because Asics exchanged the "dead" FF mnidsole for the FF Blast+. In addition: the new Asics Grip rubber. Compared both the #15 and #16 (which i have at home right now) the #16 feels the same, but is way more bouncy! :)
I'm happy the industry is giving us big and tall runners options that work for us. My experience in a shoe will likely differ dramatically from a sub-3 marathoner with a high cadence who weighs 150 lbs (68 kg). Also, the Yowana love is not bots. The people see you putting in the work and are giving you due credit.
I'm a believer that you should have a low stack responsive shoe, max cushion high stack shoe, and something in between. Having that low stack close to the ground feeling is good for building up all the connective tissue and small muscles in your feet to make them strong. It's a workout for your feet. It also helps with proprioception so you get feed back if you are having a proper gait and landing right which max shoes can mask. I used to run on minimalistic shoes and slowly moved onto more max cushioned shoes and that's when I slowly began to have knee issues. My Physical therapist had me do my PT exercises bare foot and recommend doing short runs in low stack responsive shoes to train myself to land properly. That's one reason why I think you should have varying stack heights and responsiveness in your shoe rotation and not get stuck to one thing. I also like the softness of a max cushioned shoe especially now that I'm older and helps protect my joints from impact. Think varying between max cushion to low cushion good overall for feet health, everyone's different and that's what I found to work with me and to recover and prevent injuries. Just wanted to share keep up the grind 🤙

This one is probably still a "buy" for me. I liked the Noosa Tri 14 and the Hyperion Max and some of the guys with similar tastes (RUN-ARE, FOD Runner) are really liking this shoe. The Mach 6 has a nice balance between soft and firm but, at 130+ miles, it doesn't feel that bouncy. It's just a nice ride. Considering what you have been running in lately, I wonder how you would like the Rebel v3 if you were given that shoe today. I think the Hobby Jogger bot community is different because we're nerding out together; we're listening to you riff on running and life; you're taking us on family vacations, which is really different from regular ShoeTubers. It also feels like a big tent community, so we don't have to agree on everything. My mileage, speed, and biomechanics are very different from yours so it follows that we would often have different tastes.
Yeah since you liked Hyperion max I think you will like this one. I still Hyperion 2 is an overall superior shoe though. Rebel v3 might be due for a revisit soon 🤔 also disappointing to hear about the Mach 6 durability
@@supwell I didn't mean to imply that the Mach 6 is dead; it's just mellowed a little. Based on outsole wear and ride, it could be good for 400-500 miles. I'd like to try the Hyperion 2 as well but I think the Noosa Tri 16 will work for me the way I use these shoes: as do-it-all daily trainers. Also, Matt Klein did a great podcast on shoe cushioning and discussed how two different runners may perceive a shoe and the foam very differently. That's probably why you have guys telling you you're not running in it right, etc.
You’re right dude Noosa is a a little town at the east coast of Australia 😍🙌🙏 I bought the Tri 15 and I love it. Was excited to see this one as I picked up the Noosa 15 on a Prime day deal for like 60 bucks. It's a nice light daily and in the rotation. My kids say it looks like melted crayons, but I got a thing for loud lookin shoes. The 16 looks like a nice update! I still have a noosa 10 chilling in my closet. Always have been a noosa fan. However, I absolutely agree with you that I wish the Noosa line had more bounce and protection. I use my 15s for stride workouts at faster paces. At my slower paces it just doesn't work. The 15 feels better when I push hard but it's not my everyday for sure.

Hard to beat the Hyperion 2 Finding out it can do a bit of everything. Bit of a super-light daily Did 5.34miles at 9:12 pace with 443ft elevation rise and 463 decent, hilly run and it handled it great. Legs feeling it less than those types of runs in the Glycerin 21. I bought Noosa 15’s with plain Flytefoam for cost reasons. Only a couple 6 milers so far. Very firm, but reasonably comfortable. I think Blast+ would improve things. If you are training for half marathon, all the shoes in this category that you showed will do everything for you, and are good value.

@@philipppuchner1115Have you used the Noosa Tri 16 on the treadmill for running? All the reviews said the shoes make squeaky noises when the shoes are used for walking in general. My main purpose is to buy the shoes for running on the treadmill. I have the Superblast and novablast and Brooks Hyperion 2, but I want another lower stack ground feel running shoes.
Another great review. Thank you. This one gets a pass from me. By the way, could you review the Mount to Coast S1? It’s hard to find many quality reviews of that one.
I've been able to sustain my mileage by only running hills for strength. If I'm not doing a 20 miler for the week I'll try doing 2 miles (in total) of uphill running.
Man this sort of speedy daily trainer category has become my favorite sector of the market and the one I'm most excited to see what comes next out of---Puma Velocity Nitro 3, Topo Cyclone 2, Adizero SL 2, and now Brooks Hyperion 2 have all been incredible shoes for me at reasonable to great prices---got the Velocity Nitro 3 for $84 on sale, all the others $130-140 MSRP. Still haven't even picked up the Mach 6 but if it is anything like the Skyward X I think I would dig it as well,
I tried on the noosa tri 15 at my local asics outlet and loved it. I think the best part about it is that it isnt like the sl2 and newer bouncier and more protective shoes. Thinking about strengthening your feet and foot health in general isn't it ideal to have something like this in your rotation? Btw the 15 has even less stack than the 16 and it feels amazing (weird i know)

I think there's definitely a place for higher stack shoes. I have several in my rotation. I also love barefoot and low or no drop shoes. Variety is important to strengthen feet, ankles and improve form. It's not a negative comment to have a different point of view. The idea is to run many years with as few injuries as possible. I like the Noosa tri 14s. They're firmer but stable and comfy with less of a rocker.
was wearing the Noosa Tri 16 for work today, got compliments on how cool they look 😉, also they make run faster than wanted to, feel a bit flat on the forefoot 🤷
FF, FF Blast, FF Blast+, FF Blast+ Eco (where there is no Eco stated). FF Turbo, FF Turbo+ these are all 6 as far as i know. How come that there are more differences? The stack hight, geometry of the shoe + outsole in combination may have a significant influence on how the ride is perceived.
15 miles on these now and 100% agree! The rocker makes the toes feel like they are pointing to the sky! I haven’t had toe issues with a shoe for years! These look great but personally for me and my running style they are dreadful and I’ve given them to my son for school! I’ll stick to NB4 and SB2 thanks 👎
I'm 2 min into the video, and I'm cracking up because I did a running shoe geeks review last year of my TRI NOOSA 14 lol It just sounds better that way, but they absolutely corrected me.
I wonder how it would feel wearing Noosa Tri without socks for running. I know the comfortable upper is one of Noosa Tri best feature in their past models
If were speaking to asics specifically Why would some one go for this shoe over the asics nova blast 4? For the price any way. Only thing i can say is the noosas you can usually get the older gens for good prices
These are lighter and faster feeling than the Novablast. I definitely preferred running fast in these over the novablast - but I'd take any of the other shoes I mentioned for that over the Noosa. SL2, Hyperion 2, Mach 6, Rebel v4

The fit you’re describing sounds like how the Nike InfinityRN4 felt to me when I tried in store once. It lifted my toes noticeably, gave very little headroom in the toe box, and ran short. Was not my jam.
I know this is old so maybe you won't see it. But is the midsole material the same as the Novablast? By the way, I'm so glad you got that street-side yelling match an didn't edit it out!
@@supwell I wonder if it's the same foam as Magic Speed 3, which I have. They're all called Blast+ and I agree with those of us who are disappointed when the same name (for example Fuel Cell) is used for a variety of things over the years. Thanks for all the info!
Hey there I’ve watched a bunch of your videos and seen so many shoes, as my feet are still growing my Pegasus 39s no longer fit me, so I was wondering what shoe you would recommend to me as a daily trainer thanks for your time yowana
Asics novablast 4 & Adidas sl2 are his favorites non plated daily trainers right now. Asics magic speed 4 are his favourite plated training shoes. Saucony endorphin pro 4 for racing.
if you are between sizes, take the larger (half) size. That's it. But I also have low volume feet with a low instep and the width of the forefoot is on the narrower end of medium width - therefore the Noosa fit great for me :)
What about those of us who are concerned about running too much in plated shoes - many of your reviewer peers are saying its fantatstic for that - more like the old fashioned shoes?
So far after this first run I prefer all of the the other shoes I've tested in the category: Hyperion 2, hoka Mach 6, Adizero SL 2 and rebel v4. Still want to do another workout or two in this but those are all great non plated workout options
those tri noosa’s are headed for lawn care duty.., or they are being donated, so a high school kid can have some trainers for the upcoming cross country season.
As he stated, he is not interested in the history of the shoes and doesn't research it or anything. He is just: Ah there is a shoe - I just run in it and give MY opinion. He doesn't seem to have that much time, because his videos are soo long and doesn't edit all the crap out. Even if the reviews are not speed forced, they could easily be 1/3 of the time

I have the 14’s, used it for the treadmill and I love them, can use them for all kinds of speed 👌 700km and looks new, feel good also!
Glad to hear the Noosa 15s are working well for you - I've had a few people tell me they liked the older generation more actually
If you love the Noosa Tri 15, then you will love the #16 even more, because Asics exchanged the "dead" FF midsole for the FF Blast+.
In addition: the new Asics Grip rubber. Compared both the #15 and #16 (which i have at home right now) the #16 feels the same, but is way more bouncy! :)
@@supwell The Noosa Tri 14 is the same shoe as the Evoride 3, which just have a different (more basic and even lighter!) upper.
I have the Evoride 3 (bough cheap) but they are not protective enough for me, it feels like I'm running on the ground (90kg), so I use them to go to work ;)
@@philipppuchner1115Have you used the Noosa Tri 16 on the treadmill for running? All the reviews said the shoes make squeaky noises when the shoes are used for walking in general. My main purpose is to buy the shoes for running on the treadmill. I have the Superblast and novablast and Brooks Hyperion 2, but I want another lower stack ground feel running shoes.
Citronella Fellas outchea
After liking the Hyperion Tempo, and Hyperion Max it’s the Hyperion 2 for me, the NB Sc Pacer V2 if I’m wanting more with the plate
He ran Debby off !!!!
🤣
Another great review. Thank you. This one gets a pass from me. By the way, could you review the Mount to Coast S1? It’s hard to find many quality reviews of that one.
I've been able to sustain my mileage by only running hills for strength. If I'm not doing a 20 miler for the week I'll try doing 2 miles (in total) of uphill running.
Shout out to Connor Mantz and Clayton Young top ten finishes and to Tola the NYC marathon champ now gold medalist
Btw the 15 has even less stack than the 16 and it feels amazing (weird i know)
Yeah so far I much prefer the brooks Hyperion 2 to this. Similar stack, even lower weight but with a much better foam and smoother ride experience
Great review. Max cushion all day. The tweaker in the street was the best 😅
What are the top 5 shoes you would use for sprints/uphill sprints?
I live near Noosa in Australia and we have a triathlon here
BANG
Picked up the NT 15 at my local Asics outlet for $35. Fun shoe.
still no review about the asics gel kayano 31?
YowanaBot3000 checking in, so sick seeing you in the RWH video! Hat arrived today, great quality and a thank you note?? Best = upped
Glad you got the hat and note! I appreciate the automated bot support 🦾
I think the upwards curve of the sole is the ‘rocker’ but the upwards curve of the actual toes that you get in the Noosa is the ‘toe spring’
The Boldy James & Conductor Williams album was so fire
Yay got my hat! Nice quality gear.
The FF+ Blast foam has about 20 variations. They need a new labeling system. Can’t all be FF Blast and then different feel.
FF, FF Blast, FF Blast+, FF Blast+ Eco (where there is no Eco stated).
FF Turbo, FF Turbo+
these are all 6 as far as i know.
I'm 2 min into the video, and I'm cracking up because I did a running shoe geeks review last year of my TRI NOOSA 14 lol
It just sounds better that way, but they absolutely corrected me.
I wonder how it would compare to the hyperspeed 4 or the Altra escalante
Your rest week mileage is my aspirational target 😅
I'm one of the Bots!! We got you @Yowana
My dude! Any chance you can get your hands on the Mizuno Wave Sky 8 for recovery runs?
running to Larry June is goated
I wonder how it would feel wearing Noosa Tri without socks for running. I know the comfortable upper is one of Noosa Tri best feature in their past models
Negative drop feel is a non starter for me 😂.
Whats the difference in strides and x-meter Repeats?
I'm not a heel striker, I usually do hill sprints and fast 5ks, would this be good? Pretty satisfied with the Noosa tri 15 which I'm using now.
SL2, Hyperion 2, Mach 6, Rebel v4
why ddi they have to change the back heel cup. That's why I liked the Noosa it worked with my heel spur
I have the noosa 15 and they are a blast with any type of run
If you love the Noosa Tri 15, then you will love the #16 even more, because Asics exchanged the "dead" FF mnidsole for the FF Blast+.
In addition: the new Asics Grip rubber. Compared both the #15 and #16 (which i have at home right now) the #16 feels the same, but is way more bouncy! :)
Haven’t run in this shoe but on foot the last one reminded me of the new cumulus
The fit you’re describing sounds like how the Nike InfinityRN4 felt to me when I tried in store once. It lifted my toes noticeably, gave very little headroom in the toe box, and ran short. Was not my jam.
I don’t understand asics it’s like either 50mm super stiff or like there hyperspeed, noosatri series
Lol they are all over the place
Mosquitos hang out in plant foliage. Get some mosquito treatments. I get free treatments and it's very helpful.
I’m just here for the jog test ASMR
I know this is old so maybe you won't see it. But is the midsole material the same as the Novablast?
By the way, I'm so glad you got that street-side yelling match an didn't edit it out!
It seems a bit different than the novablast midsole. It could just be the lower stack and rocker, but it feels significantly faster than the Novablast
38:20 Friendly neighborhood Yowana moment. Asics(Anima Sana In Corpore Sano) was right! Sound Mind Sound Body. Shout out to Asics and Yowana.
Women’s would definitely love that color way! Asics should add color way that Men would love aswell.
True to size ?
Mosquito racquet is needed. So satisfying!
my size is 24.5cm with widefoot, what should i do before bought them? up 0,5cm or 1cm size? please answers
1 cm
She had one to many caffeinated Maurtens on her long run.
😂
😂
Umph 22 is her shoe of the year
All reviewers are saying the Noosa 16 is TTS, myself and a friend have both discovered this isn’t the case and needed to return and half a size up
Yeah it was quite snug for me as well. Thanks for the insights
What color did you have ? Heard mixed and based on certain color
@@Devildog81 I had a uk10 in white and friend had a uk10 in the yellow, both exactly the same
if you are between sizes, take the larger (half) size.
That's it. But I also have low volume feet with a low instep and the width of the forefoot is on the narrower end of medium width - therefore the Noosa fit great for me :)
If you use it sockless, go TTS. Otherwise, half size up
She is from the Poconos…
9:40 Hills pay the bills.
Hello yowana try to make Asics superblast 2 review thanks
Noosa is like a non plated Magic speed
10k racing flat?! I think I said it best it’s an old school feel for those old school heads.
if you want to run in a shoe instead of a boat, then go for the Noosa Tri 16.
And I love my Novablast 4 TR!
"we're shoe-tube'n bro" 😂
meet me in napa to listen to sum new larry😮💨🏃♂️🍊🍊YEEHEE
I’ve said it before and still remains true: if you’re paying $130+, you gotta get something with some sauce
38 minutes 911? :D
I didn’t like the noosa for running but I loved it for walks with the wife
Big man
those tri noosa’s are headed for lawn care duty.., or they are being donated, so a high school kid can have some trainers for the upcoming cross country season.
I’m Canadian 🇨🇦
Citronella is a banned substance in Canada because the mosquitoes here juice with it 🦟💪 It doesn’t work 😅
California sounds good 😂
🤣
I have come to think that you run because you want to run in all these shoes, rather than you getting shoes because you want to run!
16:40 Aussies 🇦🇺 here thinking WTF!?!? You don’t know Noosa!??!? 😳😳😳 Almost unsubscribed purely on that comment! 😝
As he stated, he is not interested in the history of the shoes and doesn't research it or anything.
He is just: Ah there is a shoe - I just run in it and give MY opinion.
He doesn't seem to have that much time, because his videos are soo long and doesn't edit all the crap out.
Even if the reviews are not speed forced, they could easily be 1/3 of the time
Got this show for like 52 dollars here in india its big billion sale 😂😂
That woman was one of those demanding shorter videos… we just ignore them
why no pavement or what's called for pedestrians?...no bike lane, no pedestrian lane hehe....
Bots everywhere…
