Most people are not aware that there are 2 types of minerals, organic (positive charge) and inorganic (negatively or neutral charged). The minerals that are left behind in the distillation process are inorganic minerals, aka...dirt, rock sediment. The human body can not use these minerals anyway. The organic minerals that the body can use are found in the food we eat and only from the food we eat. Before the Rockefeller age of ''medicine'', distilled water was the go to for health and well being. It removes anything in the body that would be considered inorganic. Inorganic minerals (boasted and believed to be ''healthy'') are one of the main causes of dis-ease in the body. Most inorganic minerals we ingest are expelled by urination and defecation for a reason. What the body can't expel gets tucked away in all nooks and crannies of the body leading to things like joint and muscle pain. Inorganic minerals, in extreme cases, are also responsible for things like kidney and gall stones and far worse over time and accumulation. The benefit of distilled water is that it will break down anything inorganic (sediment) and help flush it out. To this day it is still recommended for heart attack victims to drink up to 4 liters/day to help break down and flush the body of unwanted impurities in dire situations. Don't let ANYONE try to convince you that pure (empty) water can hurt you in any way. That is simply idiotic. You are water! My point...Rockefeller ''medicine'' is dependent on repeat customers. TIP: it is NOT recommended to "boil" the dirty water to the point the steam bubbles are explosively leaving the water (aka Rolling boils) as contaminants from the dirty water can be ejected up onto the collection lid and recontaminate the distilled "clean" water. It doesn't take much longer to keep the water at a gentle simmer where few, if any steam bubbles are breaking the surface of the "dirty water". With your lid setup, this would require very little heat as a pseudo-pressure cooker is created allowing the dirty water to release the H20 Vapor at a lower temp than 212F (usually around 210-205F is sufficient). This splash up concern varies with the a) contents of the dirty water, b) geometry of the pots, lids, etc. and c) the temperature of the boil (aka what volume of un-vaporized dirty water droplets are flying up and hitting the lid to slime their way into and thus contaminate the "clean water." I would not be surprised if Florida did not require the company that dug your well to test the water. They might not even be required to share the results with you unless they were bad. But id be very surprised if thousands of dollars could be spent digging a well without testing the water.
Thanks for pointing out the lack of minerals in distilled water. Some folks complain of a “flat” taste in such water, which can be resolved by repeatedly pouring the water from one clean container to another from a distance of a foot or more to reintroduce air into the water.
Good news on your water...Up here in Maine radon in the water is a big problem. Lots of ledge in Maine which our wells get drilled into and hold high levels of radon. Found it in our water when we first moved in and had to get a radon mitigation system put in which was lots of $$$ but well worth piece of mind for the Fam. Leading cause of lung Cancer up here if undetected. Anyhow......thanks for sharing and great stuff!
Brilliant video. My brother in England spent thousands installing a professional pump and filtration system for his 60mt (180ft) borehole. He is now off grid for his water usage.
My grandfather was a professional distiller when he was young. He was so good at it that he was able to purchase a farm. I think his pots were a lot bigger, though. 😆
I mean, the army chicken ungovernable shirt deserves its own thumbs up, but this was legit my favorite video you've done so far. I don't think UA-cam can be a spiritual gift, but honestly - it's yours. I laughed so hard, too often. 👏
Ill never be able to prove it, but both my parents got Parkinsons in the later years, and they had a dugout, While they never drank it, they still bathed in, washed dishes, etc. Lots of run off every spring from all over. But both of them getting it is to much of a coincidence. When we lived on our acreage, I hauled water from the city into a cistern. Even then, I still tested it every 3 months for free at the local hospital. I learned a lot in 11 years about chlorine levels, biofilm and the cleaning of my water tank and cistern.
I don't have well water, but I still watched the whole video just for entertainment, then I learned some more about water and Jerry/ Aldof. Thanks for the info and smiles.
I feel ya man. Same thing happened here at my castle. Well water was really good. Had it tested after 2 years. And immediately bought an Alexa Pure. All betta!
I am impressed by the simple idea of turning up the lid on the pot. If it is untenable to use electric or gas to boil your water it can be distilled by using the sun. Just put a wide but shallow pot or bowl in the sun and let the sun evaporate the water. I have done this when I dug a hole at the beach, put a black rubbish bin back over the hole and a stone in the middle above a canteen. It was just an exercise to test the process but it worked. I also put a black rubbish bin bag over a large leaf tree and at the end of the day there was enough water for a drink in the bag. Try it for fun!
Love your work and a laugh here and there is well needed in today's world. Please keep them coming, I have even added your site to my preppers flyer I share in my group. Chuck in New England
Any possibility of building some sort of outdoor cooking apparatus? I am trying to think about how I would cook food, boil water, etc. if the grid goes down and I can’t settle on a design. Interested to see how the Haxman would approach outdoor cooking
Testing is very important. There was a case of water having high levels of formaldehyde in it and that was because water was flowing from a cemetery thru the bodies and into wells. Formaldehyde is a chemical used in embalming.
I'm a neighbor... Coastal Georgia here as well, but I'm a little further inland. Love your content and it's nice to have information from someone in a similar location.
It's important to note that distillation can work for some contamination but not all. Some chemicals boil a lower temperature then water or even the same temperature.
After years of wondering about our 350 ft deep well water, as we had only the most basic test done on it when we moved in, your video has finally given me the nudge i needed to get a better test done. So far the radiation test came back at zero, which is good but somewhat surprising considering we have a radon mitigation system in the house and i was expecting the alpha particle test to pick up on traces of radon. Im Waiting on the other test results today. I can relate to the constant nervous checking in your video…lol….we have been drinking the water for years and now suddenly I’m a nervous wreck and have been checking the simplelab site daily…lol. (And i didn’t realize you had a coupon code and affiliate link for that until after i ordered…bummer….and sorry about that!)
@@HAXMAN Thanks! Me too! If it’s not at least now I will know I need to install filters. I’m running IQ air filters from Germany to filter our house air and yet nothing besides a fridge filter for the water. As someone with a chemistry degree I’m a bit embarrassed I’ve neglected that part for so long. But I guess living in the country one tends to probably erroneously assume everything is fine. I only found out about our radon issues because I collect minerals and bought a Geiger counter and radon meter to make sure I wasn’t irradiating my family with my rock collection and discovered the house was doing it to us all on its own! Scary stuff. Appreciate your excellent videos and humor. As a woodworker and someone into being self Sufficient they are right up my alley! God Bless!
We live at 3980 feet in the Western Smokey Mountains. Our water from a well, tests every year. It's actually better than the average municipality water bottled and sold. Our total parts per million turbidity is 15ppm. In our former house in Southwest Florida it was 680ppm and wasn't fit for consumption. Don't forget to shock your well in the event your test comes back ugly.
We distil all our drinking and cooking water already (we don't want to be drinking flouride). We use an Ocean grade distiller from company Megahome. Makes roughly 4 litres of water in about 5 hours. We sprinkle a pinch of sea salt back into the water to replace the minerals once the distil is finished.
My parents have lived on the same farm 40 years and my dad had it tested at 33 years; he has bladder cancer, 5 years before that he was also diagnosed with lukeamia, prior to that had a heart attack and doctors said he had diabetes that he didn’t know had which caused the heart attack. Then my stepmom noticed the same symptoms of the bladder cancer and got tested…she tested positive. They then thought to have the well tested. They found very high levels of arsenic among other stuff. My stepmom went in for surgery and when they opened her up they found her organs sticking together like glue…the surgeon said he never seen something that bad. It was a long painful surgery; they had to put mesh between the organs. They are both constantly in and out of the hospital because their immune systems are so weak. My dad feels so guilt ridden that my mom got sick for him not checking the water years ago. He never thought of it because the water tasted fine. Please do regular water testing. This has caused a lot of grief and sadness to see my parents suffering.
Awesomesauce video Adam! I had just checked your channel 12 minutes before you posted this! Lol I used to run Distillate units when I was in the Navy. 100K gallons per day. Water wasn't bad, just tasted better cold!
@HAXMAN yeah. You made distilled water! Not the greatest taste, but you could stay hydrated. Now treat that with some chlorine & minerals, and it would taste normal. The only part I don't like is to look at how much energy it took to make that tiny amount!!!
I work for a municipal water treatment plant (Class 1 Operator). Our lab guy has tested exactly two wells in his 24 years on the job that did not test positive for total coli-forms. Since you tested negative for e coli you're good to go. This could change without you knowing though. If you want to do a total disinfection a little Cl2 would do the trick. Get with someone in water treatment to work out the math of you want to go that route.
Been watching you for the last several years. It was cool to realize that I live near you. Keep up the good work! Yeah, the water here is terrible. I'm not on the island but our water has a lot of sulfur in it. I have a Culligan water softener and sulfur filter that helps but it's still pretty rough.
I have the same issue with my well water. Look into a sterling brand iron out filter and water softener. They're about 1400 for the pair, but they're worth every penny. They take out 99% of the sulfur taste and smell from my water.
I just now found your channel through this video, and I had to immediately share it with a couple people! You’re hilarious and remind me of some of my own family. Also, from one redhead to another, your daughter (I’m assuming) has amazing style!!
Everytime I watch one of your videos, I'm like how come I don't watch more of your videos cuz they are pretty good! The answer is...I best get to working on that.
Our last well water test came back AWESOME in fact my city water test came back worse than our well water test... But we still filter all the water we drink or cook with. And I spent big money on the filter system. I love drinking water but it's got to be GOOD WATER!!!! I heard that someone had bottle waters tested and found out that most of them were not so good for long term drinking.. I wash I could find that report again... I say everyone be safe and buy a GOOD water filter system!!!!!
I thought you were going to saying at the end, “The only thing you don’t want to be doing, is poopooing.” You know from the coliform bacteria. Love the humor!
Great video. Amazing edits and you are a hoot! Glad you didn’t poison your family and if people get their water tested, you might be saving peoples lives too. Good job. Informative and funny.
I wish more people would get their water tested on a regular basis. It doesnt cost that much and every year more strange toxins can end up in wells and not just in cities. Iowa wells are contaminated with all the runoff from the farmers putting pesticides and such and the ammonia on the fields and its runs down into the aquafer and contaminates. People have just gotten too lazy or I dont know what to be aware of the fact that government is not on your side when it comes to contamination, they are on the side of the big business. with the repugs in power now we are going to get less regulation and continue with the cutbacks in regulations that rumpie started. So test your wells, examine your store bought goods and realize that you are on your own to keep your family safe
Top video mate great laughs and good advice with getting your well tested. With the seawater if you remove that little pot and leave the lid off and let it boil dry you should produce " Salt " at the bottom of the pot. Some friends of mine I once tried his at the beach we needed salt to have on our potato chips and no shops were open so we had a large pot filled it up and went for it. We did finally get enough salt after hours of boiling heaps of seawater lol.
Hey Hax - That's a great video. Thumbs up. Thanks. Best to Kim & the girls. Heading back to Iowa soon. Winter in FL has been great. Lots of shops down here in St Pete Beach sell some awesome Pollywood Adirondack chairs. You would feel right at home. :)
We used to drink well water, but when my spouse had to get chemo, his doc told him to stop drinking his well water. The owners of the well had never had it check so they did, and it was full of bacteria. They had a huge cattle farm nearby and the waste was in all the groundwater in that area.
That pot tricks was pretty cool. You could probably put another smaller lid on top of your big inverted lid to further capture some of the steam that's escaping.
You should also have your well tested for chemicals, known as PFOS and PFOA. These are serious cancer causing chemicals that are found in all water nowadays (well & municipal). The EPA has classified these chemicals as an “emerging contaminant” that you should be using charcoal filters to protect your family.
Tip for anyone testing for PFAS in water: Be really, really careful and follow the instructions provided. You want to wash your hands thoroughly and avoid any type of object or surface that might contain PFAS (raincoats, non-stick pans, markers, etc) since this can lead to a false positive when testing. (We also hope HAXMAN will test for PFAS btw!)
i bought a 4 stage reverse osmosis water filtration system and love it! it was 80$ on amazon and makes the water like bottled water and has zero TDS and zero chlorine and all that other harmful stuff.
Thought I had a Land Contract, folks stated they had the water tested. After a year of girgling stomach and making toilet soup I had the water tested... apparently they did not or lied about the results. It was so bad, the fella at the waste treatment plat took me into the facility to show me around so I completly understood the process. He also showed me samples of the town water pre treatment and post treatment... then he showed me my water and said, if this were not private property and or you were a company I would be required to call the EPA and they would cap the well... and you've been drinking this for how long? That natrual spring was subject to run-off from the animals, the road, and the fields... good stuff!
Also Mr. Haxman, boiling water just condenses contaminants like fluoride so you get more chemicals in less water! Distilled water removes minerals (that's why you can use it in car batteries), so you need to replace your minerals if you want to be healthy! Ahhh, further in the video you do mention the lack of minerals. Good job, buddy!
I used TapScore to analyze our rain water on our off grid water catchment system. Came in better than any Idaho city water, that might not say much so it basically has NO trace of over 200 elements and a little aluminum and a little take but CLEAN AND HEALTHY TO DRINK!
Add a pinch of sea salt or just eat a pinch of salt salt for added minerals. Also, dry the outside of the small pot before you tip it over the glass. You don't want to contaminate the clean water with ocean drippings from the outside of the little pot.
There's a company in Utah, called Redmond. They sell pink ancient sea salt that is loaded with trace minerals. Some days when we are working outside, and are thirsty and drinking lots of water, my doctor recommended that we add just a dash to each bottle. I do that also when sweating a lot. It makes our water taste better as well! If someone is experiencing diarrhea it is a good idea. Replacing electro lites is really important. Have also heard that a good quality coconut water is also good for that.
Dude you seriously have a Malinois, I just lost mine to old age! Loved that boy…greatest dog I have EVER had the pleasure of caring for. Enjoy yours! This video was Awesome BTW! You rock
I had coliform too. We just didn't drink it straight out of the tap. Then I bought a whole house filter, a carbon filter, and a UV light. Amazing setup for a dug well! Also, dude... your humor and editing skills are on point!! ❤

Very informative! I live about 80 miles north east of east Palestine and I’ve had my chicken coop rain water feeding system disconnected since then just to be safe. Great video as always.
I would not be surprised if Florida did not require the company that dug your well to test the water.
Just started watching you, subscribed after one video! Love the content! Hilarious, helpful, and informative. Great work!
That's scary stuff. It's good you knew to check for it. Thanks!
Thanks so much!
I’m stoked to see that the HAXMAN Is back! I’m also glad you mentioned the minerals.
Diggin’ the new merch as well. 🤟🤟🤟
Awesome! Thank you!
I don't have well water, but I still watched the whole video just for entertainment, then I learned some more about water and Jerry/ Aldof. Thanks for the info and smiles.
Love your stuff! Happy to see you post again.
I feel ya man. Same thing happened here at my castle. Well water was really good. Had it tested after 2 years. And immediately bought an Alexa Pure. All betta!
Pretty cool 👍😎👍 never thought about having our well water tested until now 😅 thanks
😅🤢🤮
WAS they haven't actually used formaldehyde in decades.
That's terrifying to think people were basically drinking dead people.
Nothing a little UV lamp won't fix right up! Glad you have a healthy respect for Terry.
I'm a neighbor... Coastal Georgia here as well, but I'm a little further inland. Love your content and it's nice to have information from someone in a similar location.
It's important to note that distillation can work for some contamination but not all. Some chemicals boil a lower temperature then water or even the same temperature.
This should be higher up.
Hope everything comes back good for you!
God Bless!
Is it just me or is Haxman looking more like an Amish garden gnome with every video? @3:18. 😂
Love your videos. Keep them coming!
I just found this channel, and I could not be happier. This family fun humor is great.
I love that you're never 💯% serious. You're freaking hilarious bro and your edits are epic. LOL threw the entire video. Nice work.
👍🧡✝️🇺🇸🧡👍
Thank you!
You present great information! And with such flair. I can always count on this channel for great insight and great humor.
Thanks for the Waterfull Video!
It was very informative and refreshing 😁
I’m so sorry your family has had to go through all that.
Such helpful content; and I simultaneously rolled my eyes and laughed - you’re very witty!
Awesomesauce video Adam! I had just checked your channel 12 minutes before you posted this! Lol
I used to run Distillate units when I was in the Navy. 100K gallons per day.
Water wasn't bad, just tasted better cold!
Thanks Jason! Yeah, I was surprised it didn't taste funny.
😁I think your videos are the best! Great info and fantastic humor!
😂 thanks for the laughter! Really needed it.
Everytime I watch one of your videos, I'm like how come I don't watch more of your videos cuz they are pretty good! The answer is...I best get to working on that.
😄 I agree 100% 😉 Thanks!
Great video, thank you for sharing!
You are funny n remind me of my dad serious but always makes anything fun while we learn to do something theres never a dull moment around him
Great video. Amazing edits and you are a hoot! Glad you didn’t poison your family and if people get their water tested, you might be saving peoples lives too. Good job. Informative and funny.
Thank you for the fast friendly information 😊
We're shocked at the number of people that think well water is 'totally natural' and so much safer than public tap water.
I just found your channel and I love your content! Your humor is refreshing :)
Thanks Chuck! I’m glad you had a nice winter. Have a safe trip back home! Thanks!
Your humble approach is perfect 🥰 and you're too funny 😂
We used to drink well water, but when my spouse had to get chemo, his doc told him to stop drinking his well water. The owners of the well had never had it check so they did, and it was full of bacteria. They had a huge cattle farm nearby and the waste was in all the groundwater in that area.
Was your well a "sand point well" ?
What a wonderful video. Thank you. Love your style!
Thank you so much!
Love your videos! Keep ‘em Comin’! Laugh and Learn something every time!
Thanks! Will do!
That pot tricks was pretty cool. You could probably put another smaller lid on top of your big inverted lid to further capture some of the steam that's escaping.
WOW!!! That's awesome! I had been wondering how to make distilled water without using my distiller (if it broke or the power went out). Thank-you!!!!!
Really well edited video. And great content. Keep it up.
i bought a 4 stage reverse osmosis water filtration system and love it! it was 80$ on amazon and makes the water like bottled water and has zero TDS and zero chlorine and all that other harmful stuff.
That natrual spring was subject to run-off from the animals, the road, and the fields... good stuff!
Thanks Haxman!
I happened to come across your channel, and I couldn’t stop laughing! I subscribed, and liked😂🤣
Useful info! And man your video editing is top notch. God bless.
Another brilliant informative video!! 🙂
Another great Step-by-Step video with multiple options. Great job!
Thanks!
Amazing information, thanks, oh and for the belly laughs again!
"Maybe Rammstein goes in but Metallica still comes out" LMAO!!! 🤣😂🤣 Great video and thanks for the laughs!!
Thanks!
I used TapScore to analyze our rain water on our off grid water catchment system. Came in better than any Idaho city water, that might not say much so it basically has NO trace of over 200 elements and a little aluminum and a little take but CLEAN AND HEALTHY TO DRINK!
Hah! I'm dying!! Ramstein goes in, and Metallica comes out, cuz it's a Gerry can, but it's a filter! Lolol that made my day, mate!
😄
My favorite part was when you said "it went in like Rammstein and came out Metallica" !!!!! Love them both!
You rock
I’m sorry for your loss Corey. Thank you
love your videos my guy, thanks for the creative content.
Subbed love the humour and the important info. Never would have done a pot in a pot but ghee it’s so obvious now !!!
So Wise, Thank You . Clean water is Vital to our Survival . Thank You for the demonstration on how to purify water by boiling.
"Bruh" made me spew my drink. Love your videos. Thank you for providing educational entertainment!
Anybody else want a dad joke collaboration between this guy and the *self sufficient me* guy?
I can’t complete with Mark. 😄
DO IT
DO IT
DO IT
Mark would win because of the accent but seriously. Both are great
I had coliform too. We just didn't drink it straight out of the tap. Then I bought a whole house filter, a carbon filter, and a UV light. Amazing setup for a dug well! Also, dude... your humor and editing skills are on point!! ❤
Can you explain what how your system works? Especially the UV light. Thanks
The Rammstein to Metallica joke got me cracked up. Love your videos man.
