A DIY Backyard Grill Cart With Concrete Top (Sorta)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 кві 2021
- I made a backyard grill cart that goes anywhere because I missed the smoke from my fire pit. Now I can have smoke again! This grill cart holds a Weber 22 inch kettle grill. I added a concrete insert to the top so I would have a built in hot plate. It works great! It's so nice having everything handy on the cart when I cookout. Now we can grill hamburgers at the grilling station while enjoying our smokeless fire pit and patio lights at night. If you have any DIY backyard projects you'd like me to try let me know in the comments. Thanks for watching!

As a dad with three daughters, love the fact that you include your family in your builds. Raising them right!
You got yourself a future April Wilkerson right there. Good job dad.
Love it. She's looks like she loves hanging with her dad. And now she's got some skills she can put to use when the time comes.
Between the actual useful content, humor, and production - one of best channels on the UA-cams. Also, my back is starting to itch....
Thanks! 😂
Ok, I don’t ever comment but the “Monster Truck” scene was brilliant.
Super entertaining and informative to watch. And as a father of two girls, it's great that you're working with your daughter with this build. I try to get my girls involved as much as I can. Thumbs up to you man!
Wholesome fun and an educational video. Addressing the comment trolls, involving the family, keeping it real when plans don’t go accordingly, and ripe with personality.
Well done, Haxman. Keep the videos coming!
That's part of raising your kids. They don't know what they're doing if they've never done it. It was a nice teaching moment and the humor will keep her from getting frustrated.when she does make a mistake. Perfect
I found your channel 2 weeks ago, been binging videos ever since, enjoying every minute!
Thank you so much for involving your daughter in the construction of grill cart! I love🥰 that she has your sense of humor and is totally into the build! You rock!!!👍♥️🤩🪚🛠
It's so sweet that you have your granddaughter helping you! 🤣
You're the father I always wanted!
I was just thinking how cool it would be to have these memories with your dad. Thankfully I have these with my mom instead :)
Nothing better than watching a Dad share a love of carpentry skills with his daughters. As a self taught lady crafter, who has taught both of her male and female children, I thank you for helping your girls feel empowered through power tools. Dad well done! 👍✌️
Man... I did these kinds of things with my daughters whenever I could. I hate they are all grown up now and I miss all the fun we had together doing little projects around the house. Cherish every moment, you're gonna miss it so badly one day.
The most beautiful thing about your channel is how you include and treat your family, beautiful dynamics, keep passing on the humor.
I love how you are teaching your girls these lessons. I wish I had that growing up.
Me, too!
As a Canadian who does this type of work for a living, the Robinson screw things really got me because it's true. Best type ever made, no reason to ever use anything else.
I love the fact you have your daughters helping out and learning. They will appreciate it when they get older.
Love how you always have a couple scenes to stick it to the haters hahaha. Don't see many youtubers doing this. Hilarious
Rich Rebuilds does it too and it's just that much better a video with they do it!
First off, props to you for teaching you daughter valuable life skills. Awesome build.
What impresses me most is the time and patients you have with your daughters. Something that is missing in a lot of homes today!
'Tis very cool that you've got your daughter helping & learning how to build things. She's a keeper!
Seriously dude... You have an amazing channel, great comic timing and some serious skills. Wish you all the best and I look forward to more videos! This is what UA-cam is for, surely!
I love that you have your daughter helping!
The daughter rocks!
Great video! It's hard to tell what is better, the information that you get from the video or the entertainment value. Damn good job.
Nice seeing Dad and daughter working together
Haxman only making these videos to subsidize the cost of all that lumber. Genius!
I love how you troll the “Knife” people. Don’t worry about the critiques of everyone. I think most people get put off by those channels that account for everything. Most of us could have the best written plans, and end up with having to make adjustments… I caught myself saying… “like a glove” when you put the leg in under the paver. Good job,
fam im a 13 year old board out of my mind but this entertained me for some reason
I love the father & daughter interaction. Daughter rules and father drools.
My wife and I are officially Haxsters! Love you guys!
That is one hell of a solid cart.........and I mean SOLID. Great video, very enjoyable to watch. Nice to see your daughter shares your sense of humour.
Omgoodness!! Just watching the 2 of you reminded me of the valuable lessons my daddy taught me. By allowing me to work by his side, I have grown into a woman that treasures those memories. How sweet you two have these memories recorded. Fun for now, invaluable treasures much later. Ty for sharing!!
you're darn rights about the sheer awesomeness of our good ole beaver tooth screws.
Hidden bonus to Mr. Robertson's design: you can (very) easily make your own screwdriver if need be.
In South Africa where we had a braai (bbq) every weekend we always used wood or coal if we were in a hurry, tastes the best. Now living in London all I can do is watch these videos of making bbq stands...lol
So I found your channel a couple of days ago. the first video i found was your smokeless fire pit. I plan on doing this with my fire pit also, thank you for that!!!!. As a father of 2 daughters, I would like to commend you for having your daughters help you with your projects. My girls have always loved helping me with my DYI projects around the house, and I believe it teaches them to be self sufficient and opens their minds for problem solving. Kudos. In closing, so glad I found your channel and I have subscribed to see what you do next, Keep them coming!!!!!
I’ve watched 4 videos today on a Weber cart build today. This is the only one that raises the grill up so it’s not sitting directly on the wood 👏👏👏
Enjoyed everything about this video. Thanks for all the work that you put into making a great video. Though i think the best part bout it is when your daughter has her friends over, and you overhear her tell them that you and her built it together. It will put a big smile on your face.
I wish you were my neighbor!! Love the comedy, content, insight and absolutely love that your daughter is helping. I have one child and my daughter is my best helper!!
Seriously though I’d love to be your neighbor lol!
Hello from South Carolina! Best channel I've found in a long time, keep it up!
Love this guy. He's so creative. Making this cart WHILE filming making this cart with cool camera angles etc. Super talented and down to earth. Sigh.
I feel like you deserve that Milwaukee sponsor, at the very least you've convinced me of their quality.
Came for the woodworking, subbed for the humor and content. Thanks for the laughs
Thank you!
That monster truck scene just killed me!
"I don't have a plunge router"
Ballin on a budget I like it
A few moments later...

Table grill cart addition Metal fixed plate caster wheels. Instead of them for wheeling the cart around, angle them for the Weber to sit on so you can spin the grill instead of doing Yoga over the flame trying to flip some burgers. I've never seen anyone do it and I don't mean to toot my own horn but it sounds like pretty good idea.
I AUTOMATICALLY subscribed when I saw that big wheel camera trick. That got me hooked lmao!
Haxman, I love you. Your a teacher and a comedian all wrapped into one. Thanks for what you do.
Nice job! All you need is an umbrella holder for those hot days
It wouldn't be a project without at least one unplanned trip to the hardware store.
LOL, the tires. Y’all just too funny.
Note to future self: be like this guy who does projects with his kids! Your oldest daughter reminds me of my niece. When you were singing she goes weird…haha. Kudos man keep it up. You have my sub.
Cant wait to get my first house by the end of the year so I can follow each and every single one of your videos! my wife will hate me but it will be worth it....
No. She will put you to work. I am building a bed for my wife.
AWSOME idea plus it’s even better to build it with your kid. I just made one for my green egg.
You deserve to have millions of subscribers. Keep putting out such entertaining and real content please!
I like the wheels! Much better for my lawn!
Great video...
The wheels in front of the 4x4 is awesome..
Made me spit my beer all over my PC keyboard and monitor with laughter.
Hey Haxman, I don't care what anybody else says, I find you to be smart, interesting and really funny. I love everything about your show, particularly your impressions and off the cuff comments. I hope you keep going. Thanks.
Love it. Family oriented and funny. Keep it up. And thanks for keeping the mistakes in there. Nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes.
Seriously one of the top channels.
Loving the daddy daughter dynamic, it's awesome 👍🏽😁👍🏽
Klasse!!! Das ist die Idee für meinen Kugelgrill mit dem lahmen Fuß.
You're right, square drive screws kick ass!
The "knife on concrete" scene is class!!!! made be chuckle, loudly.
Oh...I'm Canadian...love a square head!
U r just fun packed!!! Glad u make light of those who blah, blah, blah!!!
Had watched a few episodes already but as a canuckistani the Robertson drive shout-out made me jump up and mash that subscribe button. I've been demoing/renovating a weird deck on the house we just moved into, and everytime I drove a deck screw I felt so much sympathy for anyone using Phillips...
When you realize that your kid is nearly an exact copy of you and can easily match your own antics XD
I picked up a 5/8" x 36" axle rod and some washers and two collars to keep the tires from coming off. These collars have an Allen set screw to tighten them down to keep the tires on, did not have to drill. I got all this from Tractor Supply. I Love when your Daughter Mugs 😁 it up for the Camera. I used my axle and wheels for a new wheel borrow that I brought. I also had to cut my axle down and put on little axle caps. Make sure you grease your bearings and axles on the wheels. Also get the kids some safety glasses. 👀 Keep your eyes 👀 safe. Great video.
Seriously, Production value alone is through the roof! Plus, I have a great idea for a fire pit and a grill cart for when we have people over
Thanks for the inspiration... and reminding me that I need to involve my kids more in my projects!
1- bang the knife against concrete... Sharpening stones exist... *Waits for anger*
2- parentals who build with kiddos are superheroes. I did a LOT of DIY with my father and I hated it, but I enjoy it now 🤣
I hit subscribe immediately after the 4x4 drilling country song
Great job Dad and Daughter also thumbs up the full family involvement, Mom behind the camera and then safety supervision by Dog (God).
Great video. I love it that your young daughters get to play with the tractor.
Flexed on us immediately with those groove cuts (I know that’s not what it’s called, I’m just ignorant!)!!
Love that your daughter is pitching in, mine did as well with many projects. I still value the sense of accomplishment we both enjoyed.
The singing however, lol. :)
Lol that ending though 😂😂. I love the grill cart idea! So simple. I should do one for my kamado. I'm always wishing I had a counter next to it, the little flap tables that come up on it are too small. When I grill its a serious amount of food. I have 5 kids and they hunnnngry
A thing of beauty 👍👍👍👍👍
For a upgrade I would put a mag bar to hold knifes and such also for the stain I really like the look when you char the wood with a blowtorch then stain it, perfect look for a bbq
im literally a knife sharpener. and i loved that you said "I dont wanna upset knife guys" lol
I had a brain injury in Iraq and have a difficult time following along but this guy explains things really easily
I have the Milwalkee Impact and Drill set. You are correct they are awesome.
I agree 100% on the Robertson Screws!
Love your sense of humor and quality of content. Looking forward to more!
I'm glad you addressed the knife on concrete issue...with hilarious sarcasm!
I'll admit, I cringed at first. Then I realized that was an inexpensive knife and looked at my own collection of "cheapies'. Good enough daily working blades, tuned up nicely with a lick or few on a steel or stone.
Love the tutorials and commentary.
Keep on keeping on!
LOL the tires got me!! good job man
I'm lovin this Father/Daughter vibe and your lil dog too, lol. So cool
Great work! Not only on your projects but with your beautiful family! Very refreshing to see. I'll be doing the wine barrels and lights in my yard 🤞... thank you!
This guy is highly underrated- so much fun to watch!
Love this, gives me an idea for an kitchen island with concrete top for my wife.
I have so much to do today and your channel is very hard to tear away from! Damn. Good job. Love the father daughter teaching. Go dad.
You have a lovely assistant
I love SPAX screws = as a novice they allow me to make things that otherwise would take skill I dont have. Love this video
Exactly what I was looking for. great build!
This a great video, as usual. Also... kudos to you for teaching your daughters how to do DIY stuff. You're setting them up for success in life. Awesome job!
Very good content, the information and the added comedy.. I watch the videos as I work and have re-watched some makes my day go quicker sometimes
Very cool. Pretty daughter not afraid to get her hands dirty, she is in there helping a lot. Good to see families working together. Just had my wife and boys helping me put together a grill. Good stuff boss. New subscriber!
This channel is a gem! This guys needs more recognition than he is being given. I love it here!!!!
Proud Canadian here 😂😂
As usual, awesome job! Love that your daughter's get to help you. When I was about ten years old I hounded my dad (bricklayer) who was laying brick on our house to help him. I begged him to let me just lay one brick. Of course he was in a hurry to get the job done as he wasn't getting paid to brick our own house, so he kept saying 'in a little while' until I finally decided it wasn't going to happen and I left. That was back in 1960. Later as an adult I told him if he had only let me help, who knows I might have become a bricklayer and we could have gotten lots of jobs due to me being a female, lol. I never really held it against him, although I did tease him a lot about it. But, I'm glad to see you are not only letting your daughters help, but you are instructing them in the right way. Good dad!!!
I understand why your Dad was in a hurry. I was for too long also.
