I have a 2018 GT Premium w/PP1, Magna ride, 6 speed, active valve exhaust. Car has 65,000 miles. I have taken several great 2,000 to 3,000 mile road trips in the American west - Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming. Average overall mileage for the road trips including minimal interstate, rural highway, around town, national parks 28 MPG. Strictly around town in congested north Texas 16 +/- MPG. Interstate, Texas to New Jersey and back, with cruse control set at 72, typically 32 +/- MPG. Love this car. Happy motoring 🤠
As I watched i was thinking the same about switching to a 355. I have a 315 and it feels just like you decribe. Im scraping the pennies together for the swap as we speak.
Thanks for all the content. I've been following you since your Ecoboost days. The S-650 are cool but I personally prefer the S-550s, in terms of looks. I own an iconic silver 2022 Ecoboost ; last week I had a Ford dealer install the Ford Performance Calibration (so I can maintain the warranty) and I am LOVING the new extra torque! Keep the content coming! (btw, you can always go back to an Ecooboost... just saying 😁)
I have a 24 performance pack and I definitely think you’ll notice a difference with the upgraded sway bars. Mine doesn’t really have much body roll it feels very planted to the ground.
I enjoyed this POV drive video! About the low end torque thing, I think you should test out a B58 powered car, like a supra or m240i/m340i. They have very good low end, mid range, and decent top end. On top of that, they get 30mpg on the highway and a much more refined trans. That would be a good happy medium for what you're looking for. :) I had a 2020 GT and it was great because of the sound and all out speed, but the clunky trans and no low end torque was kinda frustrating.
At 1,100 miles they replaced both axels and hub bearings I had no more clicking noise …they went ahead serviced it with full synthetic …no issues , never was but that click sound you had , they said there was a TSB for other build dates 🤷🏻♂️ May go look at JL Willy tomorrow 🤷🏻♂️
I bought a 2024 premium GT with manual. What a blast to drive, but coming nowhere close to 24mpg. I do a lot of highway and sitting now only at 18.4mpg. And most of my daily drive is in 5th and 6th gear.
The PP and magna ride do help on turns and the strut tower bar helps with the body roll. On the magnaride you can adjust the stiffness with the mode you drive in so I just put them on firm as my STI is firm but that car I can take a curve at 60 mph with no problems idk if the mustang will or not but we shall see. My mustang is my daily though. Mine has been on 93 premium only so the car feels pretty good for a stock car with the power but I don’t plan on using regular fuel but it’s expensive for fuel that’s for sure.
I had to go to Dalton GA a few times last year and took the back roads from Birmingham to Dalton, and the roads were like these. Super fun drive! I did this in my old Elantra N that I just traded in for my new 24 Mustang GT, so I am really wanting to go and try it out in the new ride!
Currently have a 2024 EcoBoost ! Eventually hope to afford the gt but gotta admit the low end torque of the EcoBoost is my favorite thing about the car . I was almost disappointed when I test drove the gt since I don’t race or anything . Also in Atlanta traffic
@@Derek-pq3zbit does it’s not brainer the ecoboost gets 350 lbs torque at 3200 rpm’s the gt don’t even see that until like 4500rpms. A reason why ppl go to dodge and Camaros is because they have torque the car is useable on the street the gt shines at top end that’s it
Did you make a video with the diff bolt swap???? I have the tick when I go from reverse to drive and vice versa I want to fix and ur the only one that has fixed it … that I know of ….
Hey! No I didn’t make a specific video on it, but I addressed it in a few of my latest videos. The fix for me was a new axle nut. You will want to torque it to 98ftlbs plus a 45* turn. The extra 45* turn was tough lol but so far so good!
Get the stage 1 whipple and then do the other stuff. Get that torque that you crave! I went from a 2023 challenger scat pack to the 2024 Mustang it is about 60 ft lbs of torque less than the scat. I miss it off the line but after that it is much different. And get the K&N air filters and that’s it keep them stock boxes.
Wow. I had a 2021 widebody scat shaker manual that I sold almost two years ago. I was interested in checking out a 24 Mustang GT in a manual. But was hearing about the no low end torque in these cars….the torque in the scat was incredible lol…I’m going this wknd to test drive a manual GT to see how I like it
@@Derek-pq3zb if all you care about is the torque you might not be happy but if you care about the mixture of speed, and torque you will be fine. The mustang is ever so slightly faster than the scat pack, and is much easier to launch because it doesn’t want to just sit and spin tires at the line. I think the mustang has the perfect power to torque ratio. And it still spins the tires when you want it to np.

If you have 3.15s, switch to 3.55 or 3.73 gears for more low end torque.

The interior screens completely removes me from the buying pool. Especially in the dark horse
@@maybelive765 Not a huge fan of the "two-tablet" digital displays either. The S-650's headlights are nice but I prefer the "meaner" S-550's.

I'm really hoping Ford comes out with power packs like they did for the previous generation. A nice tune and a cold air intake that's warrantied

245s on the challenger scat pack
