    After this touring cycle they added Drop A for some songs off Unleashed. The guitar for that is a PRS Mark Holcomb SE.

    Man Brian, you need to do more of these rig rundowns. You just seem so natural and easy to talk with them. Way better than Premier guitar's rig rundowns

    Seth, how do you and your guitar techs handle intonation on the guitars with radically lowered tunings? The PRS guitars mostly have the non-adjustable tailpieces. I have experimented with heavier strings on some of my guitars and sometimes run out of adjustment room on the bridge saddles. Do you simply tune them up for the rhythm parts and not spend much time up the neck where the intonation issues are more likely to show up?

    So Skillet does not use any standard tuning. Good to know for when I am playing their songs.

    Is there even any skillet songs with tremolo?

    • @billyrouse4813
      @billyrouse4813 7 років тому

      Aidan LaRose the tremolo on the Tremonti is actually blocked off. The tremolo pedal is used for the prechorus of Sick of It. Didn't know which tremolo you meant, so I answered both.

      Jonathan lewis music depending on which tuning they play it in, it was at one point used for Monster also. At this point they will play that song in Drop B I have heard.

    He's got cool hair but not such a great outfit. He needs to match up with the style of the music

    You are not \m/. If you were \m/, you would have all your amps on the stage where everyone can see them, and not even use the PA.

      +Mega MountainMan That's not quite how it works when you play arenas though...

      ***** Maybe not the part about PAs, but Metallica, Slayer, and Yngwie, and probably Anthrax all have their amps on stage.

      Sometimes yes, but many times you'll see amps on stage that are not being used, or even fake cabinets all together; used simply because it's a paid endorsement. Having the amp off-stage streamlines the tear down and setup up process as well as allowing the tech to make changes to the amp. Even if the cabinets are on stage, many times the actual amp head is off stage, near the guitar tech.

      ***** Damn. I am probably in the only band ever to use real amps on stage without dummies. Joke's on those metalcore guys who say they are so \m/. I only have a little Orange combo for clubbing, but it still counts.
