Sebastian Meets Winter and Hope

Visiting all the way from Toronto, Ontario, Sebastian Sharp, age 7, has come a long way to celebrate his birthday - in more ways than one.Sebastian’s birthday wish to see Winter was granted by the Sunshine Foundation of Canada - an organization that provides once-in-a-lifetime to children with severe physical disabilities as well as life-threatening illnesses. Since its foundation in 1987, Sunshine has provided over 7,000 dream experiences for kids across Canada.
Like many children, Sebastian became connected to Winter after watching Dolphin Tale. It was the second film, however, that really solidified his wish to meet her. Sebastian has quad dystonic cerebral palsy and epilepsy, which has made verbal communication a challenge for him. In order for Sebastian to express himself he utilizes a number of tools for communication, including books and iPad apps. For quick communication, he says “no” by looking up and “yes” by smiling.
The day he met Winter and Hope included many smiles from Sebastian and everyone who participated in his special birthday visit.
