Dang that sounds good! Really enjoyed the little demos here, I didn’t expect to like this as the Bastl gear is usually a lot more experimental sounding than I’m into I’d say the NTS-3 is the clear contender here (€150-180, four simultaneous fx with each 8 parameters, 3 of them controllable by touch, full 10-bit midi control over everything) but they seem to be aimed at different audiences. The NTS-3 is a lot more tame
Heck yeah! I've even managed to clock a grids clone using the tap tempo on the nts3. The only slight hiccup compromise I can see is having to choose between using the non audio input as midi or sync.
This is that device I actually need badly in my setup and will pair will so much gear I own already 🎉 but mainly excited to use it with a micogranny I got coming ! Bastl makes great stuff I really like my bestie mixer
Dude, the whole kastle line is extremely affordable, and super fun to patch together. If you're keeping the fx unit, have a little boo for a used mk1.5 and drum (maybe the arp too. No experience here with it). Even just as little side car mess around toys, I say they'll be worth the price. Be forewarned that there's no pitch quantization, and they probably don’t track 1V/oct. But they all have clock resets for the lfo / clock like the fx unit has!
@@StephenMcLeodif you had to start over and re buy your gear, what would be your first purchases for $1500? I ask because I am really eyeing the NYX, so I put it in my cart. Then I was like, why not the Hades and Erebus too. And while I'm at it, Nymphes. And after I looked at the cart total I questioned are there better options to spend this amount of cash. I currently own a MiniFreak, 0-coast, and DrumBrute Impact. I'm really into just finding crazy patches and sound exploration and sequencing them together. I'm really thinking of getting a torso t-1 for sequencing too.
Yeah! I bought one right after it came out. ua-cam.com/video/8WixZfSDOD8/v-deo.html - I like it a lot. The menu system can be a bit funky to remember but there are some great sounds. Affordable analog poly goodness!
I love Bastl. I really dig this and the way you use it is quite inspiring!
Thank you! Bastl are great.

NTS-3 is a great shout. I didn't consider that as I have an OG KP-3!!
@@StephenMcLeod I have a Kaossilator pro as well! But dang it’s a chonky boi, i love how small and light the nts-3 is

Great sounds on this one!
Yesss!
Great video and sounds!
Thanks Patrik!!

They are a pretty great company! Love the MicroGranny as well.
Wonderful! Thank you!! I just ordered mine. Question: if you send mono in is it stereo out? Such as auto panning a mono signal?
Yes. It has a setting to switch between mono and stereo input. :)
Thank you for the info. Can’t wait for this little big guy to arrive!…
I’ve been patiently waiting for mine since they announced it 😅 so excited for this new device
Hope it gets there soon!!
0:32 Oh, an Exquis keyboard ;o
Love those squishy pads.

Top tip! I keep everything because I am a maniac hoarder. :D

Can it run multiple effects simultaneously? Like pitch shifting the delay, while panning?
Hiya. Nah. The effects are singular in that regard.
@StephenMcLeod thanks for the info! 💪
Kastl 2 vs NTS-3. Which would win?
Never underestimate the Scottish Synth WIZARD!! 😁This thing is friggin crazy man, I have to have it! Haha 🐀
I see you took the plunge on that Nymphes. I have had my eyes on that for a while. How's it treating you?

Rabbits? Word
Inspired by you!
I still prefer my OG Kastl..🤔
That's more of a modular synth voice than an fx box, right? :)
