It makes more sense to keep the rear camera in the center of the back of the vehicle for maximum viewing angle. The spare tire center attachment is still the best spot for this.

Very true, however we carry a bin bag on our tyre regularly as we take our rubbish out of the bush with us. The bin bag covers the camera completely, this is the only reason we have the camera relocation mount.

Nice videos! But I wonder if the relocating can make the tire lines( those tire position lines on the screen when reversing), less accurate

Yeah it moves the camera to the side marginally, so you have to compensate for that but I haven’t had a problem.
The tyre does block the view to the left a bit.
      Thanks for your feedback 👍🏼👍🏼

That is a nice walkthrough and that turned out pretty sweet.
I dont like the camera on the FJ Cruiser really. I am sorry to say the resolution is pretty poor and the little tiny screen in the mirror just dont do it for me.
I am still in the buying process of my FJC but when I get one I will buy one of them wireless remote cameras with screen and install. Some of them have 2 cameras so you can have 1 in the back and one in the front. Perfect for steep hills or rock crawling.

I’m seriously thinking of getting one of these head units and running a second camera.
Great feedback thanks mate, I should definitely do a vid on the instal.
