ZAO Ropeway full course in silver and white, Yamagata Japan | 4K HDR

The Zao Ropeway, located at the border of Miyagi and Yamagata Prefectures in Japan, connects to a portion of the famous Zao mountain range, particularly the ski resorts and hot spring areas. It offers ski enthusiasts a convenient way to ascend the mountain, as well as providing tourists the opportunity to admire the spectacular natural scenery of the region. The ropeway system consists of several parts, including the main route from the base to the summit, along with other lines connecting different ski areas.
In winter, when the mountain areas are covered with thick layers of snow, the ropeway provides a unique perspective for viewing the famous "ice monsters" or Juhyo phenomenon, a local natural spectacle where trees are covered in snow and ice, forming unique shapes.
If the weather permits, one can also visit a mountain lake known as Okama. This part of the trip tries to climb to a portion of the mountain's summit. Despite the clear sky, the wind, carrying bits of ice, is incredibly strong, making it almost impossible to stand still, which can be felt in the latter part of the video. ❄️🌬️
