The Harley. I am sure the girls could buy him one at this point . But as a fan and a rider i feel it would be better for us fans to show our support for a man that is killing the parent job
That was the end of Survive and this was their last concert in Mexico before lockdown in 2020 if I'm not mistaken. I remember them talking about this concert because the crowd energy was off the charts which I'm sure added to Pau's energy for that beast mode performance.
My life would suck from 2012: Cobus is a South African drummer known for his complex technical covers of simpler songs. Pau covered his version not the original. This was the 2nd time she had to play after discovering that a camera was off during the 1st take. Little Pau burst into tears. Her mother had to calm her down. We can see Mony's reflection in the mirror. Unbelievable story!!! Survive from Vive Latino, 2020: Last show before the pandemic on a side stage of Vive Latino which is one of the most important music fests in Mexico. An 18 year old Pau just pile drove the drum kit into the floor. Among the most animated drumming that I have seen. Pau broke her in ear monitor and her mother later sent her to retrieve the bits & pieces. When she went back she saw that the entire field was empty. Pau realized that crowd of about 3000 came only to watch them perform in the afternoon. It was their crowd. The Warning have been invited to Vive Latino 2024 after a gap of 4 years. Hopefully the main stage now after what has transpired in 2023.
I don't know man, to me there's nothing funny about that early Pau footage. I cried the first time I seen it. She's so serious and determined - she's driven to perfection.
Definitely hits us all differently. We are so incredible impressed and in awe of all three girls. Pau and her mastery of the drums at such an early age is jaw dropping. Incredible!!!
That is Mom' s foot. This was take two! First take was perfect but the video camera battery died halfway thru. So she had to redo it and was a bit emotional. Mom sat nearby to comfort her.
Helicopter hair on Pau is a natural thing. Great reaction, I knew her at 10 playing like that would surprise you. Just think about playing like that at 10, how much practice did she do to get there. She was showing off, because she could, lol. They were playing "Survive" when she was going beast mode on the kit.
In the first video we can see that, although Pau has unquestionable natural abilities to play the drums, we cannot say that she was born a genius for the drums. What Pau is today is not only a gift from nature, it has also required a lot of hard work and perseverance on her part.
100%. Talent is, at best, 30% of the equation. The other 70% is consistent, hard work. Maybe 1 in a million can pick up an instrument, or a paintbrush, or a computer keyboard, or anything else, and be instantly amazing. For everybody else, passion and the drive to work for every improvement is the only way to make it happen. And Dany, Pau, and Ale have all worked their asses off for most of their lives.
If I was DW I'd give Pau a full endorsement just for proving how durable their kits are. And maybe slide her a little extra to not "test" them so much in public. She's like those commercials where they drive pickup trucks into all sorts of ridiculous offroad scenarios, only for drums - and for real. It boggles the mind that she doesn't have full endorsement offers coming at her from everyone. She's been killing it for a decade. She'll be an inspiration for generations to come, and everyone in the drum world is sleeping on here.
That was her mother’s foot that you saw tapping. She was supposed to tape Pau’s performance and either forgot or messed up. So Pau, in tears, had to do it over again!!😅❤
When people say Pau went helicopter mode, that's what they mean. Watch that Ponytail spin! BTW, the short is the end of "Survive", in Mexico City, last show before quarantine in 2020. Pau broke one of her InEarz as it was flying around. Sometimes she takes on out so she can here the crowd sing! There was about 3000 people at that festival stage, early in the day. She cam back out 15 minutes later to the stage to get her shoes or the pieces of her InEarz and was surprised to find only 5 or 6 people left there, and she was shocked that that whole crowd was there just to see The Warning. It's amazing how grounded and humble all three of them are. I honestly don't think they realize that they on the brink of becoming megastars.
Every early video of Pau gives you a sense ot total concentration and of being an elemental force of nature hellbent on a mission. She also has perfected her Pau death stare when she's caught up in the moment.
I watched both these clips today. Seeing her as a ten year old drummer never gets tiring and watching her destroy the drums at that concert in Mexico is maddening. The crowd was so stoked they sang so loud so the girls could not hear them selves sing and play. The crowd jumped up and down and since The Warning feed on the energy that the audience is giving them. That´s why the best concerts are at home in Mexico where they have wild fans. Great reaction you guys!
There is a fan video out there called The Warning: Paulina Villareal - Evolution (Drummer) 2011-2012. It's on The Warning Cave YT channel. I would post the link but my comments disappear when I do. It was one of the first videos I watched when I discovered them and I was frantically going between the video, YT, and Spotify trying to figure out what so many of the songs were because her performances just blew my mind. That video is about 29 minutes long, and I have probably watched it like 5 times. Every time I tell myself I just want to watch a few minutes to cheer myself up, and every time I can't stop watching it and end up watching the whole thing again.
The song in the Beast Mode video is Survive. I am baffled that DW still are not sponsoring Pau, they would just need to advertise by showing Pau in beast mode and then showing that the drum survived and that would sell drums by itself.
It's not for nothing but she has just been nominated for drummer of the year, you have to go vote for Pau. Pau says that several teachers did not want to give her classes because of her size since she was a very small girl but only one teacher supported her and now we see what a talented drummer, composer and singer she is, and don't forget to vote for her, greetings.
Pau is a master of “sitting deep in the pocket”, her amazing fills are just a bonus!!! Thanks for the reaction Jeremy and Jillian!!! I subscribe to anyone willing to react to TW more than once!👏😊⚡️
Besides being among the most astute drummers in choice of drum tones & writing drum patterns that befits a song. Its all for the song. No ego. No showing off with extra touches.
You seen them do less than half of their original content with the Teatro Metro concert. Survive was the song that she went all Animal on, and it was the last song they did before the Pandemic shut down. The Clarkson song was amazing. That was her 2nd take on it, as the first didn't record. They didn't edit videos back then, so they just started over if they messed up. Pau did it perfect in the 1st take, and sobbed when they told her to do it again, but you can see from her performance, she nailed it again, and gave the horns as a Heck yeah, I did it!
@@musikbyjh Another camera angle of Pau was even sweeter and got me to follow their channel back in July 2013. Unfortunately, you can't see that camera angle today because they announce another video there.
I heard that after they recorded it, they found a drummer video instruction that showed how to do the crossover cymbal/drum section towards the end of the song. Pau learned it after several weeks and she dressed the same and recorded the crossover and her dad spliced them together. That might just be TW folklore, but I like it!!
@@randymarple9830 While I did know about her taking a few weeks and many practice sessions learning the crossover section, I never heard about editing that part in, but I can ask them about it, if I can remember.

Pau is a beast, as many have said about her is that she beats those drums like they owe her money and she has admitted, she does like hitting things after all.
These videos are so great! Especially her Kelly Clarkson cover. Pau never had a kid's set, and started on a full size kit like we see in the cover video. Being so small, she had to really hit it hard to get the proper sound out of it and she carried that as she grew up to what we see in the short. There's videos where she breaks a drum head during a show, or where her mic fails mid song and she is visibly Very upset and splits a stick in half lengthwise shortly after from hitting so hard. It's no wonder why her nicknames include The Animal and Shredder!
The song was Survive. I love it when Pau's ponytail turns in to a helicopter. So great! She's said that she practices so much all the drumming is automatic and if she starts thinking about what she's playing, she'll mess it up. You can see it in errors of the error tour when Pau forgot how to play the INSANE drum fill part of unmendable. You can see the concentration on her face trying to remember what to do.
@@ronhall5395 Since I think that this might have been their last song in this performance I think she was too tired in her right legt to hit that hard while sitting down.
The 10 yr old doing my life sucks without you, is something she practiced for A longtime. Cobus is a drummer from S. Africa who does covers using elaborate arm movements. Pau saw this and wanted to record something using this method. The whole point of the video was t lol do these crazy unneeded movements. It is just a coordination drill really. Two songs Pau goes crazy on are "Unmendable" and "Survive". Enjoy!

Who's foot is that? Here is the back story on that. Pau played this cover perfectly through but the video recording screwed up. She was so mad. Her mom had to settle her down and she just told Pau to "Just play it again perfectly" and so she did. Mom was in the background giving her support. That was why she was so happy at the end- she did it perfectly again! The Cobus version is that show-off version. By the way- the beast mode was from their Survive song.

lol…I love this! It’s such a perfect example of Dany’s personality even at such a young age.
I watch it every time I need cheering up.

You need to check her out on piano singing and playing Creep by Radiohead, it is awesome ! She learned it and played it in one day as a challenge.
Coming very soon!

TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Who's foot is that? Here is the back story on that. Pau played this cover perfectly through but the video recording screwed up. She was so mad. Her mom had to settle her down and she just told Pau to "Just play it again perfectly" and so she did. Mom was in the background giving her support. That was why she was so happy at the end- she did it perfectly again! The Cobus version is that show-off version. By the way- the beast mode was from their Survive song.
Locura!!!

I think I heard or read somewhere that she broke a drum head at this concert. second song was Survive
Not sure this was the concert but yes, she destroyed a drum. I remember her standing up and telling the audience they needed to.pick it up since she broke her drum for them! Amazing.

There is a Drum cover I wish you would watch, Junna cover of Through Fire and Flames. But I can't afford to be a patreon on everyone's channel 😭
We've got you covered, Scott. We'll add this to the list of videos to record with Matt, our buddy and professional drummer, when we visit AZ in a couple months. If you are good waiting that long, will be worth it to have a professional drummer weigh in! I do know El Estepario Siberiano also covered this song, perhaps another double header?!?!
Of course is not the same song. Come on man.
Yep, a lot to take in at once.
The song was 'Survive'.
