Only TV is now decaying and streaming corporations and social media "influencers" (ie, corporate actors pretending to be regular people with their own opinions to force on everyone else) have taken over to an extent far beyond anything tv ever did. Back then, dystopia was an entertaining idea extrapolated from regular business/political corruption... Today, dystopia is actually happening at an alarming rate and already most people around the world, left and right, are in fact actively defending it, encouraging and helping it all happen while genuinely convinced they're all in fact helping society in some sort of wonderful, great progress when they just aren't, in fact the exact opposite.
He had stopped bodybuilding 7 years earlier and wanted to stay under 205 pounds. He was about 190 here. He was running an hour a day and doing his usual high-volume weight workouts but with more machines.
@@joelouden6592190? Didn’t know he got that light 😮 thought he was always 210-220? In predator he apparently lost 25 pounds before the movie so was what ? 200?
Arnold looks much better when he is on his super evil steroid cycles. He is quite skinny here. I like it when he looks like a messed up lab experiment.
Steven King would probably completely disagree with his interpretation. Arnold seems to want to completely neuter any elements of social commentary/satire probably for fear of it hurting the potential audience or hurting coverage of the movie. Arnold, God love him, was about promotion above all else."It's just a story".Either that or Arnold, a Republican, wanted to kind of separate himself from the ideas expressed by Steven King, a noted liberal.
Anyone read the novel? Better than the movie? Usually very different, like the 2001 A Space Odyssey. Not really my fave this one but guess Terminator had the best edge (although totally scissored here in -84 so you couldn't see it). Conan of course was simply unforgetable with that music...
That's actually how he always wanted to look. When he lost to a shredded Frank Zane early in his bodybuilding career he promised himself to be lean and ripped.
This man is very smart and eloquent
his acting is hilarious too.
Looks like he’s getting ready to film Red Heat.
Thought this without looking at your comment, it's the hair right? 💯😅👀
The Running Man social commentary, some of the best!

Kinner gang
Stephen King took the idea from the movie:
The Prize of Peril
Arnold looks weak without the drugs

This lady is the worst and Arnold knows ittttt
