    I think y’all would enjoy chocoflan. It’s chocolate cake at the top and the flan at the bottom. I use a chocolate cake mix from a box and the flan I go ahead and make it from scratch. There is a big difference from boxed flan and homemade flan :D

    You needed cinnamon for tembleque, very cold it’s delish. One of the best Puertorrican desserts ever. Thank you for trying it.

    Yea so glad you made it! I never tried to make it in a microwave. I have to try that next time! Thank you so much for reviewing! You both did a great job!

    If you’d like the box versions of both deserts you’d love them homemade.

    Yes, there should be more coconut pudding in the world! I've never had it or seen it or considered it but, YES!😍I am a huge fan of tapioca pudding, so I'd love it I'm sure!

    My grandpa used to make the Flan for us and he put it to set in a bowl like you did! Reminded me of my childhood!

    Jello has boxed coconut pudding powder, including in sugar free, at my walmart. You could also throw some coconut shreds on premade vanilla (or any) pudding and I bet it'd be dang good.

    Tami, if you’ve never had tapioca pudding, I would love for you to do a review on Kozy Shack tapioca. All their flavors are delicious!

    I bought the Goya boxed flan once a few years ago and used ramekins. The sauce stayed runny for me too, though you notice it less in a smaller mould. I remember liking the flan quite a bit. ☺️

    You did very good making it. I love Flan and this is a great substitute for the homemade one. I never made it in a microwave ; always on cook top. I’ll have to try n see the difference. I don’t think in flavor.
    Thanks for a great review . I really enjoyed it.

    I never saw the coconut one... I’d love to try it though... I love flan!!! Kozy shack had a flan snack cup at one time😋😋 so good... rice pudding is my favorite. I can not eat tapioca though... the pearls remind me of fish eyes... I just can’t eat it... lol. Can you ask Iris what store she bought it at?

    What fat % of milk did you use? Does it matter when you make these? These look delicious and I’ll be on the look out for sure

    • @TamiDunn
      @TamiDunn  4 роки тому

      It doesn't give a specific % on the back of the box.

      @brynb1325 4 роки тому +1

      Do you mind sharing what you used bc it seems to have set up well. I’d prefer not to use whole milk or even 2 percent if possible. My oldest has issues with higher fat milks so we tend to by low fat or non fat.

    We have the Spanish style one in the UK, and it’s called a Creme Caramel. They’re quite old fashioned and probably not popular with a lot of people these days. I like them though!

    You guys did make flan a while back before in 2016, it was Congeli brand. You guys did a much better job with the flan in this video and also liked it better. I love flan too, delicious! Oh, and this is Carlos. I have another account now.

    If you like these Desserts from the box, you would absolutely love the real thing, as the real thing taste nothing like the box brand. Next time add cinnamon to the tembleque (tembl-e-k). That takes it to the next level.

    I never had this either, I think Mr. Kevin did a great job making this. Thanks for the review. Btw Jello makes a coconut cream pudding. I don’t think it’s real popular though.
