It's great how Doug supports his chat while Ludwig screams at and insults his. I absolutely loathe when streamers get it in their heads that all of their chat is significantly dumber than him, therefore they can scream and insult them as they please
It's extremely funny to me that when accused of sabotage, Ludwig jokingly claims to be French as if he doesn't understand the word... When the word sabotage IS french, and comes from the French weavers guild members throwing sabots (sabot it a type of clog shoe, hence SABOTage) into weaving machines of the competitors.
"into weaving machines of the competitors" Actually, didn't the weavers throw their sabots into the maschines of the sweat shops they themselves worked at? At least that's what the weaver did in Holland/Netherlands during the Early Industrialisation: Because the invention of the mechanical weaving loom had put the weavers (who were highly trained skilled craftsmen and -women) out of work, as the machines could weave faster and 24/7 than a person on a hand loom, as long as someone constantly supposed the machines with rolls of yarn when one ran empty and removed lint that built up. So the weavers starved and were ironically forced to seek work in the new industrial weaving mills... but their work there was menial work and badly paid, boring yet exhausting, and they had no say over their own hours, unlike in the past when they had worked self-employed from home in their own shops at their own pace. In England, the owners of those weaving mills used children often from orphanages as there were plenty of children back in the early 19th century as cheap child labour. And work hours were often 16 hours/day. Many of the children were maimed, with hands mangled or ripped off, because they had to crawl under the mechanical looms to clean and reach into the moving machinery to pick out lint or untangle yarn. Of course the foremen could have stopped the machines... but that would've meant stopping the looms. Since a maimed or killed orphan child could simply be replaced with a fresh child and nobody gave a damn, it wa more profitable to keep the looms running 24/7. (Until people started campaigning against child slave labour and forced the industrialists to forego child labour and grant workers rights.)
@@TF2CrunchyFrog Oh yes I know that they were doing it because they thought the weaving machines would put weavers out of business, should've clarified.

DougDoug treats his chat like a beloved child, encouraging us, never encouraging sabotage, even when we’re behind. Ludwig on the other hand, speaks to his chat like they’re a fighting dog. Yelling, encouraging sabotage in order to gain leverage. That simple love is what gave DougDoug the advantage.
We let Doug lead us. If we want to, we strike for Nintendogs and win. He is beholden to us, the proletariat, for his illusion of power. But when aligned, we are unstoppable
Doug Doug is one with the twitch chat. He is them, and they are him. Ludwig on the other hand demands obedience. UA-cam chat is his to command. Thus, it becomes FREE MEN fighting a TYRANT!
@@hankmalloy9050 Lemme put it this way: if a tyrannical ruler forced the people to play games, and promised the people a pizza party for not revolutionizing, do you think they would still revolutionize?
Ludwig coming up with "odd crew" and "even crew" is why Doug won. Ludwig tried to turn his chat into something they weren't. Doug played to Twitch's strengths and won four matches in a row from behind.
As a fellow DougDoug youtube viewer, I can confirm I was genuinely rooting for Twitch Chat to win this battle. When Doug and Twitch Chat come together, they can conquer any challenge in the world. I salute them for displaying exceptional gaming skills, coordination and most of all, staying true to Doug and not raiding Ludwig's youtube chat.
24:13 really shows the contrast between doug and ludwig when doug's chat fails, he calmly asks them to try better when ludwig's chat fails, he yells as loud as he can like a child
I love that Doug *praised Ludwig’s chat* for that side b, which indeed would have been devastating if Twitch hadn’t dodged. Ludwig yelling “what are you doing” would only make his chat less likely to make risky high reward plays like that in the future.
Dougdoug is that dad who knows that his child can be good with the correct help and encouragement Ludwig is that step dad who is drunk all the time and goes for the belt
I like to imagine the respective chats as gigantic twisted vaguely humanoid beings with thousands of voices in their head screaming contradictory things, and that each content creator is friends with one, and eggs them on while these horrific monsters try to figure out how to beat the other in a video game
See, where Ludwig failed is that DougDoug's immense charm allowed Doug to seize Lud's own chat and turn them against him. DougDoug truly is in a league of his own
My favorite part of this video is the fact that every game Twitch Chat won was due to skill. There wasn’t a time where they won because they got lucky, every one was deserved. Even the Pokémon round should have been a victory, but they only lost because of bad RNG. Twitch chat truly has become a great hive mind and learned it work together
i love that during the Mario Kart round you can see Ludwig panic, resorting to every tactic under the sun to the point of trying to sabotage Doug, and yet he still loses
I LOVED how Doug managed to coordinate his chat by using the A crew Z crew methods, bringing our old memories of those bloody A vs. Z crew conflicts to instill greater coordination.

Apart from a few specific instances, this challenge was very much in our favor, and Doug knew it. And so he capitalized on it be using every live-streamer’s greatest fear: trolls. Normally, summoning trolls is a terrible idea, because they’re just as likely to target you as well… *except* for just this once. 1. This is a rematch, so there’s history. History that can affect the emotional investment of the audience. But For Ludwig’s chat, it’s a rematch with some arrogant nobody that they already planted firmly in his place. They have nothing to gain from caring. The only real thing to keep their interest, is that this time *they* get to play. So right off the bat, Ludwig’s chat has incentive to *play* but no real incentive to *win.* While Doug’s army was a loyal unified front filled with piss and vinegar, Ludwig bet his money on people who were PRIMED to sabotage him. 2. Doug, *and his chat* have been doing this far longer. Obviously Doug having experience directing a variety of twitch chat controlled games helps, but not nearly as much as that experience did for chat. The things Doug tells Ludwig’s chat about are things *we got sick of doing years ago.* Even for the trolls, the same joke gets boring if used too often. Spamming the menu button hasn’t been funny for us in a long time, but remember: this is the (one of the) first time(s) Ludwig’s done this. Which means *his* chat, hasn’t had the time to get sick of those things that we have. So while our trolls might do it a few times, they’d get bored of it far far faster than Ludwig’s. Those 2 things gave Doug the ability to throw out shiny distractions that were more effective on the enemy than him.
I love that Doug looks so calm and confident compared to Ludwig, he's gotten his chat to play games so many times that he knows exactly what he's doing
Everyone calls Twitch chat either chaos or a hive mind but they are neither. They are what they are, a crowd. A crowd with individual thoughts, but whose individual thoughts can be trained on one thing, and if the stars align and they are given that motivation, they can do _terrible,_ terrible things.
Was Ludwig deliberately leaning into the Heel /villain archetype for the sake of chemistry and stakes? Or is he unironically inclined to berate his chat and lose his cool? Not saying he’s a bad person in irl, I know nothing about him, but it seemed a bit performative
In all honesty are you going to be loyal to someone who's constantly screaming insults at you, or the person who does nothing but encourage you to be better?
In their defense, Bongcloud is technically the only undefeated technique in professional chess (Magnus and Hikaru, the #1 and 2 best players in the world, both did it over and over in a professional match until it became draw)
The difference is that Doug was giving his chat calm, comprehensive, easy to follow proper directions (e.g. 21:30) (as well as cheering them on, giving them pep talks, raising their spirits... oh, and being a bit of a comedian (e.g. 21:37)), whereas Ludwig was just yelling unreasonable requests at his chat (as well as a few insults)... Take 22:04 for example. The best example of these two combined, in my opinion, is from 21:29 to 22:31. Edit: Just noticed that the second most voted move at 27:35 was Qf7, which hangs the Queen two different ways. Ludwig's chat wasn't even trying to win!
i like how dougdoug is like "ok guys we need you to go right please" and "GREAT JOB!" then ludwig is "########## PEICE OF ###########" and "YOUR A MISTAKE!"

I just assumed that that was the joke
@@Aquilenne I doubt a 20-something American YTer (Ludwig) knows much about 19th century history.
"into weaving machines of the competitors"
Actually, didn't the weavers throw their sabots into the maschines of the sweat shops they themselves worked at?

Doug raised his chat with love, care, and olive oil that’s how they won. It is nice guy for helping out a small streamer like.
