    This is more than I have to do - I just have to replace the pump controller, which means opening the thing up, which scares me a bit... having watched this I now feel it will be a MUCH easier job than I thought ~ thank you, and thanks for the manouche too!

    Yak, I've just discovered my same Silverstorm pump with the same symptoms. I'll have no issue tackling this repair. Thanks for the intuitive instructional video. 👍 Dean

      I can only agree there's lots of ways this video could have been better. 🤷‍♂️

      Everyone is at different levels of experience. It's not easy to cover the whole spectrum. It's a case of scratching around and trawling through videos until you can put the pieces of the puzzle together.

    Hi dear, thanks for the video, very helpful. I'm having a different problem though, my water pump controller keeps turning on and off every 10 sec. So every 10 seconds it turns on for 5 seconds then off, then on after 10 and so on. I checked for leaks everywhere and found nothing.

      Vash Spero The amateur that I am would first try to completely close the outlet directly at the pump, either with a cap or a very short pipe and valve. This will confirm whether the problem is related to some leak in the pipes or whether it’s the pump/controller itself.

      @@ReflectiveYak That's exactly what I'm going to do :) Thank you!

      I had the same problem as you. Found a significant leak in the pipe which was underground. Crimped it and attached connectors.

      The non-return valve (check valve) at the bottom of the controller could be leaking water back into the pump and therefore de-pressurising the system. Disassemble the diaphragm housing and check the valve. The O ring needs to be clean and intact and the valve seat needs to be smooth and free of debris.

    And if the press control it turn on the pump but the pump is pumping no water

    Do you know how to Adjust the pressure?

    • @rickneill6924
      @rickneill6924 2 роки тому

      With these controllers the turn on pressure is factory set. The system charges to the maximum pressure that the pump is capable of delivering until the flow sensor (top reed switch) senses no flow (switch closed). The pump motor then stops. There is a screw in the tail end of the diaphragm housing but turning it does absolutely nothing to change pressure. In other brands of pump you will find the same screw but also a semi-circle arrow around the screw with + and - symbols. These types of pump controllers do allow pressure setting.
