I think Larry could have went further in the rock n roll rockabilly direction but they were only known in the country music circles. I only discovered the Collins kids last year (2023) and never even knew they existed before then. Larry was a better showman and guitar picker than most of the early rock n rollers back in the 1950's and could have played circles around most of them. Very impressive.
❤❤❤😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉Davey in the morning of the world 🌎 🎶 ✨️ ❤️ here's more unsung trail blazersletusrejoice we got another day on the books that's Navy slang for having another day to be alive Arts electrifying for us 😀 😄 😉 👍 😁!!!+++
@Marctinroofcat When u say u were there, where was that! Was it Las Vegas, as the title alludes?Wherever they played they always provided decent, spirited entertainment! But the sound effects come out as poor in quality, that's my opinion , not their playing but the speaker sound system was very average or worse, they woulda sounded much better with good sound system used!
Betcha though, Larry never wore the upper neck of his double guitar, cuz he never used it! Don't get me wrong they were great, but that double necked was just kinna gimmick! He coulda just used a regular guitar! But thanks for the info on Lorrie's hole! LOL! Guitar that is we're talking about!
@@allankogolik2948Yeah! , but I think he used both necks a heck of a lot more when he was 14 than later as an adult! LoL ! Still feel it was always more of a gimmick than essential guitar composition! IMO! We hardly ever see oversized accordions, mouth organs, violins etc! What next! .... super sized drums for Ringo Starr!
RIP Larry and Lorrie. You were great for 70 years.
I was there! Fantastic memories. Larry & Lorrie are very nice people. R.I.P. Lorrie Collins!

Lorrie had worn a hole in the upper bout of her guitar, with her pick. How cool is that she still played it, having “characterized” the instrument?

I also wore a hole on one of my acoustic guitars and was very proud of it. It comes from playing hard and often.
The same for Willie Nelaon...
@marctinroofcat What place was this performance?
🚩🏋️👍
@Marctinroofcat Exactly where was this concert performed?
Viva las Vegas event
Larry died October 2024
The music almost washes out her vocals

Смотри видео внимательно. Там отчётливо видно, как он иногда использует верхний гриф. Привет из СССР!
