Ewie M … I have a 64 Corvan 95 panel van and a friend has a 62 Rampside. The rare part about both is they are 4 speed stick, while most were either 3 speed stick or 2 speed auto. Last I looked they only made like 8,500 Corvans with a 4 speed in 64, out of around 35,000 total production.

4:22 - My Grandpa had a Yeoman that he bought new and had until he died in 2005. It was a 283 with a 3 speed stick (3 on the tree). Like all '58s, the rust worms got it badly. I remember he loaned it to us to go to Yellowstone around 1964 as we were all set to go and something happened to our car.

_The great ol days, when GM made products that mattered, unlike now._
They are not allowed to make any products that matter. The government is dictating what they make, and are dictating that the make cars just like japanese cars, or else be fined. Notice all of these are muscle cars. The government made those illegal through Fascist CAFE standards. It's not their fault. Imagine if the reverse happened where japan had to produce real full size cars like American cars or be fined. We all know they would be crap. But no, the government only required the U.S makers to completely revamp their products, the Leftist Fascists. Leftist government picking winners and losers. In fact, the only reason japanese cars matter is because they are lying they are full size cars. So the japanese cars were propped up by the government and lying Leftist MSM "reviewers" where japan couldn't do anything wrong and American makers couldn't do anything right. A pure propaganda campaign.

I never heard of the Monza Mirage but I did own the Buick version, a 1978 Skyhawk. I believe this car would have done well with the Chevy 2.8 (173) V6 but standard was the Buick 3.8 (231) V6 with a 5 speed manual. It was actually a pretty bad ass car.

I think that there was a third variant that was called the Oldsmobile Firenza. However, it should not be confused with the Vauxhall Firenza or the Chevrolet (South Africa) Firenza, which were completely different cars, as well as, arguably enough, just as potent pony/muscle cars as the Chevrolet Camaro/Pontiac Firebird/Pontiac Trans Am.

I’d be apt to say that z16s aren’t obscure, then again the one old car collector I know who owns one bought his all original example in the mid 80s and didn’t even know what the hell a z16 was. He just saw it as a nice original Chevelle with a big block and didn’t realize the full significance of it until he had owned the car for awhile. It’s a killer survivor example. It’s had a $200k price on it ever since the 90s even though he’s not trying to sell it. That’s just what it would take to get him to part. Sits in a climate controlled warehouse with a bunch of other Chevelles and 58-63 impalas. He drives them every spring and summer. Then hibernates them away for the winter. Occasionally he’ll sell or trade one, but the z16 has always remained.
