I’ve always found the Joshua Tree National Park to be an enchanted kinda place; especially at dusk; or in the moonless nights, under a magical blanket of stars.

Grew up in Yucca Valley, just next to it. Back then it was still just a National Monument, no fees, not many crowds, better times.

Stop with the pretenses. There are only dirts, rocks, cacti, mountains and trees. Of course you could get the same thing driving through Arizona and New Mexico, but you don’t have to pay $30. The park people were waving their hands at the entrance for just to go through. Later found out that you have to pay $30 before you leave. Will file an official complaints with the dept of the interior.
