  • This is the moment a predator runs from police after ab*sing a child & then murdering him.
On the 18th of February 2021, The West Mercia Police recieved a phone call from a mother in distress, she tells them that her son Alfie has fallen asleep in the bath & isn't breathing.
However something much darker had just occuered, what she didn't tell police is that her new boyfriend had been ab*sing her son for months & had just murdered him.

Unfortunately social services are usually pretty limited to what they can actually do. Police & social services are reactive, not proactive. They cannot make decisions based on what might happen. It has to have happened for them to do something. Which sucks, but that's how it us

And still all that would happen is the same exact thing with social services that happened. They saw the bruises and heard the video of him screaming and it didn’t matter. And now the same guy who threatened to burn the neighbours house down for calling social services would probably target you for taking his kid into your house and getting involved. Alfie might be alive now yeah because violent step dad who clearly was a ticking time bomb would be in prison for murdering a neighbour for getting involved instead.

@@nadiawelham7737 In all fairness, hindsight is 20/20. At that moment you hear something bad, you don't think it will end in death. Secondly, it's already a social services case and the police has been called. Also people may not be able to just 'scoop the kid up and bring it home', it's actual kidnapping and the guy will very probably stop you with violence. It's a little childish to say people should do this or they didn't do enough. Remember that those neighbours are the good guys and the bad one is the two who did this.

The social services are understaffed and underfunded. The only way to change that is to get all your friends, and people you don't know too, to write to your/their local MP's and *demand* change. And to vote for the only party that doesn't consistently cut funding to social services (aka DO NOT VOTE FOR THE FUCKING TORIES - I'm not saying Labour is perfect, not at all, but they are at least a thousand times better in this regard). But I agree with you, they should have acted *a lot* earlier. They had ample evidence to do so. But to make a true difference in the long run, what I wrote above is the way to go.

How this "mother" is absolutely so stoic after her son is dead is incomprehensible to me. I'm a nurse and while I'm as stoic as she is at work helping people, it's different when my kids have accidents. I break down completely!! Once my son caught his tiny fingers in the door and I was crying hysterically all the way to the hospital. I knew he was fine but hearing my child cry was heartbreaking.... I honestly don't understand how she's just there pacing like she's waiting for a pickup order.
It's also "women" like this that shouldn't have children if they prefer a "man" instead of their child/children. This guy is freaking horrid and nuts, she must've been desperate for 🍆 to let him harm and kill her child.

I don't answer the door even to my neighbours. The neighbour did the right thing, personal safety is more important. Once that door is open, anything could happen. Calling the police from inside the door is much safer. My elderly mother doesn't even answer the door to Highways and they have SGN all over them. If you haven't got a formal letter or a password don't answer the door. Even my partner has a changeable password. Why could they not step in and remove this child?! If the neighbors had called in ? I do not understand why he was able to stay with her. In the US, the parent and child’s welfare are investigated and a decision made. With the calls , a child would’ve been removed that day.

The fact is that we all need to step up when we see a child in distress, and hold the responsible agencies' feet to the fire relentlessly.

@@thewaywardgrape3838 The commenter wasn't "throwing them around like everyday mental states/characters." What is "everyday" about abusing, torturing and drowning a child? Are you suggesting a motive beyond a severe personality disorder? They didn't steal a loaf of bread. Psychopaths might be rare. So is child murder. Nothing wrong with making the connection. Is that really your response to a story like this? "Ooooo someone used a word very flippantly without a doctorate in psychology! OOOOOOH I'm gonna get em!" Chill out, man. Who cares? God, you suck.
