I got my 2023 1LE on the 2nd of June this year. I use my Camaro as a daily. I travel one way to work 36 miles, so that is 72 miles when I drive it. I work4 days a week and I am getting between 25 to 28 mpg a tank. I get over 400 miles on a tank of gas. Now most of my driving is highway miles.
Makes sense, I hardly ever highway drive but when I do, I’m still only getting low 20’s per gallon. Maybe if I filled up, then only drove highway, I would see the higher mileage.
That's pretty good mileage man. My drive is similar to yours and I get about 325mi/tank. I'm good with that. My last car was a 19' Veloster N, it held about 13 gallons and got about the same distance per tank as the Camaro which holds about 17 gallons dry. The Veloster N was really fun and a damn blast to drive, but the Camaro has so much more torque it's ridiculous. I hated getting rid of my Veloster N and I still miss it, but I'm glad I was able to get a V8 NA car before they stop making them. Sad that everyone is being forced into dumping the best cars currently available. I mean Dodge is dropping the Challenger and charger V8 and hellcat engines across the board? Camaro is history? What in the hell man. I wonder how long Ford will stick with the V8s ? I'll tell you one thing, they jacked up the price big time! That dark Horse is in the $70's and it's not even forced induction... but I guess If you don't have any competition you can do it. The SS1LE is about the best handling car you can get period, and they're not even $60k, I have to thank Chevy for keeping it real on that.
@@nurzrachit7133Man that's crazy you said that cause I have a 2021 Hyundai Veloster N dct and I'm thinking about trading it for a Camaro SS 1le 2020 and up I just test drove one and it's my first V8 experience and man I feel in love but I also love the heck out of my Veloster so it's been one of the hardest decisions of my life
@@nurzrachit7133Wow you must not drove in N mode much. Even in sport 23-25 mpg If your getting over 24 mpg you in N you should buy a gas miser. Drive in N mode half the time and you'll get 18 city.
I have a 22SS1LE that I daily drive. I believe I’m averaging 14MPG. Luckily I have a gas card through my job that pays for all my gas expenses. V8 forever!!
Awesome video as always! I currently own a 2022 ZL1/1LE six speed manual. I also own a 2023 2SS/1LE six speed manual. I have zero complaints about either. I also own a 2023 Shelby Mustang Super Snake automatic. Guess what I drive more? The Camaros because there is nothing more interactive than rowing through the gears! 🇺🇸
In 2017 I bought SS 2 Camaro and there's nothing like it. I can't figure out why this not going to make them anymore. It's a good car. If I didn't have the vets, I would. have the Camaros.
Great car and super fun on track. Your SS 1LE and my 17 ZL1 had many similarities, one of them was the brakes and I couldn't agree more, they were lacking in many ways for track work. I ended up switching the pads out with EBC's EBC-DP31788C pads for up front and DP33050C for the rear. HUGE difference in performance and no longer have the squeak from running them hot after track use. Great pad to use. Love what you've done with your 1LE too. Looking forward to watching your other videos posted.
Hi. I have the same car. 2SS. Same color as well lol..I don't have the PDR though. I live in Northern New Jersey. I just swapped out the tires for Falklen FK460 UHP all season tires. I did keep the original tires to put back on in the spring. I will get rims for them. I love the car so far. 3010 miles so far. I just Hate the slip shift crap. I bought the eliminator kit for this. My seats don't have the problem you described. For milage I get about 17.5 MPH. I will also only drive it about 6k miles a year. Keep up the great videos, nice work. Greg
The manual puts the sport in sports car. The only reason I bought the 19 Z06 with M7 is because of the poor decision on GM to get rid of manuals. I would have no desire to own a Corvette, camaro or any performance car with an auto . What a shame for car enthusiasts.
I was going to ask you to sell me that white beauty 1LE , but after you said you had already tracked the car , all I have to say is.........NEVER MIND.
I’m having the same issue with the seats in my C8. I about crushed my lower abdomen in our Ford Explorer. I hit the #1 Driver Seat Position and the seat kept moving forward and forward. WIFE’S Daily Driver.
I covered this in your other video… The seat memory ONLY works 100% of the time when you Set The PARKING brake!! If you set it every time PRIOR to shutting it down, it WILL work!
I seen too many ppl saying this not a daily car I been all over tryna see why because I’m about to Drop on a 2022 2ss 1LE I stay in nice small city so I shouldn’t be worried bout miles bt if Chevy keeps going with these Electric I will Put it Up and Keep it for the Future! Awesome Video!
Love my 2018 camaro RS 3.6 keeping it forever. Some small mods getting 13.6 in the 1/4 at 107 mph. Not bad for a 3.6 but have turbos for it hopefully soon ill install them. Get 20-23 average mpg or 30 + on thr highway great daily driver my wife drives almost every day. But after i put turbos on it uts just going to be a toy lol. Im going to keep adding performance parts have rest of my life to do it of course wish i could have it all done yesterday haha Great video Beautiful camera
Dude that oil change 😢. I'm changing my own from now on, that bastard holds like ten quarts! I think I paid $150 for my first oil change!! I'm going to change it in a couple hundred miles and I'll be able to get the best and it will cost about half as much. My insurance is pretty much the same as my Veloster N that I had before. Personally I purchased my 21 SS 1LE with 3500 mi on it for $45k a year ago. Premium fuel always, daily drive it and get around 300-325 miles per tank. It's actually fun trying to get good gas mileage from time to time when I'm not stomping it! You gotta expect to pay more to play. I'll tell anyone who wants to know, look into continental tires when you replace those ridiculous Eagle tires. The Contis I got are all season and they handle great. I actually prefer the ride over the eagles. These cars are future legends and I'm not made of money, so it's probably the best I can ever hope for. I don't plan on trying to keep it for thirty years and make money off it, I'll probably be dead by then, I'm going to enjoy it right now. I get plenty of looks wherever I go, men think it's tough and women think it's sexy. One of the best American sports cars ever built.
I have an 18 2SS 1LE 6MT. Only year for a 2SS 1LE pre facelift. And it is hands down sounds and handles much better than most cars under $75k. Its only competition is the ZL1😎 . I am averaging about 250 miles per tank as well. I attribute that to the275/ 305 tires, m6, areo,e diff. And the addiction to aggressive downshifts😁. Ive driven alot of GT cars and muscle cars. But i havent found a combo of pure agression with such precision. Its definitely front heavy but ive adjusted and use the weight transfer from apex to exit. The mag ride lays down nicely. I insure mine through Haggarty who outsources through Essentia insurance $600 for the year with track day options to add in. I see having the Vetes would be a reason to sell it for content for the channel. But i dont think the Camaro 1LE is the one to lose. Its durable. M6 Tremec is bulletproof. Tires last longer its just cheaper to maintain all around than a c8 . To me its a stronger car meant for agressive use. I would miss this car. But if the vette has more personality to you. I can see that for many people. But the 2SS 1LE is the perfect balance of what i want in a car. Ive told my friends I'd grudgingky only trade for a Porche GT3 RS. Until that happens i know what car ill be in . I know it wont be in any automatic. Been there and its not the same experience its almost lifeless. I hope you find the same joy in the E Ray that i see you have when you talk about the 1LE. All the best in youre journey. Its been great watching your passion
Good honest review, interesting tip regarding the insurance. Seems like you have to have museum membership to inquire but well worth it at that price, though I'm sure the price will be higher here in the NY Metro burbs. Completely agree regarding the cost-cutting plastics in the interior and the steering wheel being too thin though I like the shape. I think my Accord has a beefier steering wheel. My old 4th Gen Camaro with the Borg Warner T-56 trans had the skip shift eliminator it was very obtrusive and annoying not sure how it is in the Gen 6 whether it's a suggestion or a force shift with the Tremec 6 speed.
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Yep, this skip-shift is big time annoying, and it’s very intrusive. I most of the time just RPM past it, but there are times when I’d like to just shift early, as you know this Camaro has a ton of torque.
Very smart. 6 spd is the good way to go. The 10 spd will cost 4k to get rid of the afm/dod, you cant just tune it out, you have to open engine up and replace parts. Manual trans has none of this.
The skip shift. I forgot what they called it when I first got hip about it. But you can have that deleted ❗Or other Camaro owners mentioned. In 1tst gear drive above 30 mph and that will disengage skip shift.
I agree with many of the things you have said about the Camaro. I just got my 2022 6 spd 1 SS in may this year. I had a 2012 Regal GS w/6pm Manual Gas mileage is night and day but I knew it would be going into this. I don’t regret it. This car is a blast to drive. There are times I find myself acting like a complete child while driving. My point being if you buy a car like this “{Mustang and Challengers included}” and are worried about the gas mileage you just need to leave the car on the lot. They like the dinosaur juice but you will have a smile on your face more times than not. And as for the skip shift it is the one thing I really can’t stand but if you are a bit aggressive with the throttle or hang in 1st a bit longer the skip shift want activate. Supposedly there is a way to delete one day i will see if this rumor is true.
I get 280 city to over 400MPH hwy. 28 MPG hwy. Only time I don't drive mine is when I work from home. I don't know if it's underrated. I know it's under-marketed by Chevy.

Love the update! Have had mine since Feb 3 and the odo finally hit 4500 smiles! what kind of steering wheel grip is that?
Thank you for your time and video. Great information. Keep doing them.

Mike, why would you need
Break pads with only 3k on em.
Racing pads for the track only.
I agree I own this same very car I a 2021 . Yes what's up with the seat I put it in way back and all the way back set it come back it way forward
Chip issue.
Is the blind spot still bad in this car?
The seat only seems to go to the exit position when the parking brake is set before turning the car off and opening the door.
Like most people, I can’t afford to buy every vehicle I’d like to own!
Enough Said?
Then there’s the need to have Garage Space!

I owned my 17' SS 6speed for 6+ years and about 66k miles. Cost of ownership is just gas, oil changes, tires and brake pads.
I just looked it up. It's called a skip shift eliminator harness ✔️
NCM Insurance is no joke! Saved a hundreds.
Insurance companies can burn
I am wondering if Camaro’s have bent cracked wheels like C7 ZO6/GS. Any issues?
I would love to buy it when the time comes

I’ve already seen new e ray on the road in Orlando
I have two Corvettes covered but I think you are not following NCM Insurance rules. Supposed to be for car related functions, service, but not driving on errands or going out to eat or going to the store. I have discussed this with them and I was told, above is a big NO!
So there is 93 Octane Gas West of the Mississippi River?
Does that vary from State to State West of the Mississippi or does Texas make their own Higher Octane Gas?
Question. The car started before you walked, out of the building. Do you have auto start on this Camaro ❓
I hated to sell mine but it was time to let it go, I had my foot off in it way too much. 100+ mph on many occasions because 85 is just like a track 🤣 right??
Does removing the skip shift void the warranty ?
Nope. It's a simple bypass connector that you have to plug into the top of the transmission. Kind of hard to get at but once it's finished, you'll really enjoy rowing through the gears without that Nanny poking you in the side.
If you shift just over 2k RPMs it doesn't mess with you.
Thank you
For sale soon?! 👀
What does it cost to own.? There’s no secret the price of the car, insurance and gas, its no different than any other mass produced car. If this was about something more unique like a P51 mustang then it would be more relevant to the unknown.

The higher the altitude the more octane u need just saying.
Noooo. I love those 1le wheels
This definitely wouldn't be a daily driver anyway. A second vehicle would be on deck 👍
Yeppppp 58k plus tax - comes out to 64k ….
camaro way better good looking and muscle compare to mustang,,
You need more camber. Looks like wearing on outside
they are selling like hot cakes right now. sad they are going. better looking than the comp.

The Camaro is a better built car. I’ve owned the 1LE and driven a Scat. The 1LE is a top notch street/track car and the Scat is a great cruiser. Get a 1LE if you can.
Loved everything about my 2018 2SS 1LE except the fact that the car feels like I am trapped inside...
2022 1SS 1LE. 50k out the door price.
