Should crushed dolomite lime be added? I have heard that certain cacti( the big ben cacti) including lophophoras need this to obtain the perfect soil pH?
HELP!! I just got a baby shoot the size of a cigarette butt. I dont know what to do but I want this baby to live!!! Help help help! How do I care for it? Its sitting on wet vermiculite misted it once and left alone under a grow light indirectly. Far away. Should I bury it half way? Or just let it sit on top? Scared for its little baby life.
Please mail us with some pitcures here: info@precious-cactus.com for us analyze it. Just remember that the best soil its peat moss for germinate the lophophora babies

You can try yes. the most important is good drainage soil. You can do pumice soil and sand it's simple and also work very well with lophophoras.
Can i use just humus to germinate?
can but the best its peat moss
@@preciouscactus6973 thank you so much..
Can I use this soil mix for first transplant of 7 month old plant?
If it is big enough and depending on your climate you can slowly adapt the baby to mature cactus conditions
