Based on one of his favourite guitars, the Epiphone Jim James ES-335 features a Seventies Walnut-finished 5-ply laminated maple body with a solid maple centre block for increased sustain and a mahogany neck with a Jim James Custom SlimTaper C profile and an Indian laurel fretboard with dot inlays. The Alnico Classic PRO pickups are paired with CTS potentiometers and Orange Drop® capacitors. Personal touches include vintage-style Kluson Waffleback tuners with metal buttons, a circle/arrow emblem on the truss rod cover, and an owl decal on the back of the headstock. A hardshell case with an owl logo is also included.

I’ve got one and love it. I really like the Dark Walnut color and the slim neck (I also have Blueberry Burst Epi ES335 with the rounded profile neck), and the case is pretty cool too. I don't understand how anyone will pay twice the price of a dot, you get a case, that's it, no gibson pickups or rosewood/ebony fretboard, that's it

@Ryan a lot of the higher end epis come with burst buckers, for £640 on the ghost horse you get burst buckers, a Floyd rose and bound ebony fingboard, on the £900 Jim James you get nothing different to an epiphone dot

Here in the US the Dot was $599. This Jim James gets you the Kluson tuners and a case, which is about $230 worth of extras, so really only about $70 difference overall. May be a larger difference elsewhere.
