I'm an opera singer myself, and i can see life, light, passion and sincerity in her voice and in her interpretation more than lots of Opera singers.... Love it
Please, how can you train your voice to become an opera singer, please? I'm a mezzo soprano and the highest note I can reach is the not for "Say" in the song "All I ask of you"
Sierra Boggess personifies the role of Christine Daae. After seeing her and Ramin, I coul never bear to see it without those two They were born to play those characters.

Sierra sets the bar for all female singers of our time. Simply flawless and beautiful.
And she is also a magnificent actress. This number,-- although quite emotional -- does not offer a great range of emotions. With some songs, I feel like I have watched an entire play after listening and watching her perform a single song.

Came expecting Over the Rainbow, was pleasantly surprised with Love Never Dies.
the title should say "...performs ON 'over the rainbow', from 'Love Never Dies'"

She makes it look so easy...
In interviews she makes note of the fact that she doesn't go out much and all this takes a lot of work. Perfection doesn't come without a cost. And she is easily the most perfect singer I have heard in my lifetime since Tony Bennett .. who also was a perfectionist.
Mike Luck That's so ironic, because in those same interviews she emphasizes how no one can reach perfection, and how much perfectionism holds people back. She loves the saying "perfectly imperfect" and always reminds her fans that she is, in fact, NOT perfect, and that's OK. (But yes, she is absolutely stunning in her performances and does do a lot of work to make it that way.)
Sierra is the best! Period! I know her and she's the best girl EVER!!!!!! Love her.

She has the whole package: the looks, the poise, the personality, and most importantly, the voice. I'd give anything just to have an ounce of what she's been blessed with.
Why is she so perfect?
True. I have watched everything there is to watch on UA-cam and I bought a CD with 25 tracks on it. And perfect is the right word.
Victoria Elisha Because she hits the notes on key and has resonance in her tomes like no other. She obviously works hard to do this. Nearly mistake free perfect singing. Many people have great voices but do not work like she does for perfection.

Few singers hit every pitch when singing. They are usually in the "cracks". Her timing and pitch are superb. Resonance is the sound like it is in the upper roof of your mouth and is the sound that carries and "resounds" in your head. You might also call it "natural frequency".

When I first bought the LND soundtrack, I thought it was OK but nothing really special. Then this song came on shuffle the other day and I've finally fallen head over heels in love with it
The musical is Love Never Dies. It's a sequel to Phantom of the Opera and Sierra originated the role of Christine in Love Never Dies. I don't care for the story much, but the music is gorgeous.
Over the Rainbow is the name of the show this was on.
That's officially her better rendition of this song for me!!! I never had the chance to see the real musica live, so, the renditions on stage doesn't count for me! Wish I could see this live, though, she's more than brilliant!!!

I saw Love Never Dies just today at the matinee and Sierra was brilliant! Her rendition of this song was gorgeous and an overall brilliant performance.
My grandma was sitting next to me and said that it was worth sitting through the play just to get to this song (she said she liked the show but not as much as the original).

I’ve been following Ms. Boggess since she originated the role of Ariel in the Broadway Production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. I loved her then. When Love Never Dies was released I fell in love with a voice from beyond this plane of existence. How can anyone have a voice like this and exercise it with such effortless control? Luckily I have been blessed to react this way to two wonderfully talented women. Ms. Boggess being one, and Diana Damrau the second. You may not consider them to be in the same league, considering Ms. Boggess is a Broadway/Lyric Soprano and Ms. Damrau an Operatic Coloratura. It’s in the intonation of their voices, the sheer control they exert over their instruments, and the ease with which they do so. Pitch is nearly perfect in each and every recording I have heard from either of these women. Can anyone else really say that? Callas was often off-pitch and sloppy in her musical runs. She’s considered one of the greatest of the 20th century. Many famous broadway singers can’t actually perform well live (I’m looking at you, Idina). I consider myself very lucky to have been able to witness such immense god-given talent that these women possess. I will, too, cry every time I hear Ms. Boggess Sing this song. How much bigger would phantom be if Sara Brightman could produce sounds like this?!
care to give some example? as far as i know...everyone has to take a deep breath when they sing from the stomach like that. for example, idina menzel is even more obvious about gasping but i still love her performances. i think sierra is doing an awesome job here and always. she is freaking talented! sometimes ppl are just too critical.
Delightful. This girl is something very special. A beautiful voice...with a wonderful expressiveness about her that seems very natural and genuine. In an outstanding, and truly compelling performance, she made me believe she WAS Christine, in the 25th Anniversary production of POTO. Somehow, I don't think she got the part because there was no one else available to take it. ;)
