I'm still trying to get my grandma's 1950s knitting machine to work properly, sourcing new needles has proven impossible. Found a brother electroknit on fb marketplace and was willing to pay to have it shipped (they were in WI) but they already had a taker. I've resorted back to the bond fashion knitter my boyfriend got at big lots for $25 about 20 years ago. Nobody around here even knows what these machines are. Someday I'll have the fun money to get a new/used much updated unit with needles that can handle modern yarn AND be easily replaced. I'm fascinated and somewhat addicted😊

Where are you located? I might know a trustworthy souce. It's always good to avoid shipping, if you can, because the machines are often damaged in shipment.

@@CoffeeCakeCrumble It's a distance, but I really like Cindy Schmatz in Minnesota for good used Brother machines. I also like Dorothy Rosman in Minnesota. You can see if you can reach Larry and Cathy Reaume in Monroe, Michigan, who are not sellers, but knows just about everyone in the MK hobby in that region.
