Phillip Lahm is the only defender from that generation id pick over others that played with Kahn. Bixente Lizarazu was such a good left back in particular. Lucio is better (much better than ANY current Bayern defender) he had it all in his game. I think Thomas Linke was much better and more consistent than Jerome Boateng. Demichellis was solid and super consistent for many years at Bayern and at a much older age for Man City recently too. I remember Thomas Helmer also and Matthias Sammer, now they were proper defenders. Jurgen Kohler at Dortmund was fabulously as well. Christian Worns was another great centre half.
