In Texas "slippers" are "house-shoes" which are only worn indoors. So, we will wear boots or heavy shoes outdoors, then take them off when we come inside the house and put on "slippers", or we might just wear our socks, especially if they are thick. However, there are people who wear boots indoors, especially in the winter, but our winters are not that cold...usually. In tropical locations it is pretty natural and comfortable to go barefoot more often.
I like your posted sharing video to understand more of Flippina culture. Question for you , are Flippinos mostly adaptive to foreign food cultures? Please advise.
Right now I live with roommates from China. We take our shoes off outside and wear flip flops inside. They leave their shoes outside the door. I bring my shoes inside and sit them on a shoe rack. I can't sleep in pajamas. When I turn they get caught on the covers and get twisted on me making me uncomfortable. I just sleep in my boxers or I sometimes sleep naked. I don't sleep well so I have to be as comfortable as possible.
Here in Denmark in the northern part of Europe it’s very normal to take of your shoes when inside the house. Often guests are asked to take of their shoes when entering. Bidets are very unusual too. It was a bit of a thing in the late 60’s but never took on. Sleeping naked or not is a personal matter. As for myself i sleep naked, but it’s very individual which is prefered. When talking about the outside shower, I know for sure that if my plans about moving to the province in the Filipines when I’ll retire, I will build a space for outdoor showers, where I can take a shower butt-naked without disturbing the neighbours. Propably install some solar panels for charging the mobile.
Hi, Gelay! I'm Andrew. I live in the Washington, DC area of the United States. We get snow here too. I wear shoes inside mainly because I don't know what's on the floor. For instance ... if I'm barefoot and step on a nail ... that would require an emergency room visit and a tetanus shot. Not fun. I also wear orthotics in my shoes that go under my insoles. My podiatrist casts my feet for these (and makes them too). I have some questions. How do Filipinas feel if their guy is a virgin but they aren't? I hope that makes sense. I'm also wondering what advice you have for virgin guys. I'm asking for myself. I also don't know my condom size or how to put one on. Related to being naked ... how do Filipinas feel about their guy having body hair? Especially down there. And do they typically have hair down there? I've interacted with many Filipinas on dating apps. What do they have against wearing nylon pantyhose? I get that The Philippines in near the tropics. But for some guys (myself included) ... seeing the woman I'm with wearing nylon pantyhose is a huge turn on.
My family came to Canada from the UK when I was 3. As a Canadian now, I always take my shoes off when coming inside. Perhaps it's our climate. For several months of the year we must take boots off to come inside. Obviously different from the Philippines with no snow, but different conditions can yield similar habits....
I came, from the tropical country, but live in Britain, slippers is call flip-flop, they do take their slippers shoes, when going in the house, or rooms or even if they were in the house, they walk bear footed, to keep the floor clean and tidy.
Yes I love sleeping naked but when I went to see my girlfriend in the Philippines I did not sleep naked because all 4 kids slept in the bed with us 🤣🤣🤣🤣I loved it all about the family ❤❤❤❤
As an American, I don't know anyone who wears their shoes inside the house beyond a few feet from the front door. If you don't have an entryway, I wouldn't leave my shoes outside and exposed to the bugs and elements, especially as they could be stolen.
Here in Hawaii, we wear both shoes and slippers. I personally love to sleep naked and I always do; I live in a studio apartment so I can. They say that you can fall asleep faster because and you don’t sweat as much.
Please don't take offence but I worked in London with guys from the Philippines for many years and I became good friends with many of them but I'm afraid as we cockneys do we make up nick names as a term of indearment not in a racist way but I use to call the guys flip flops I'm mixed race Irish and south east Asian but I was told by a west Indian man at work that I was a racist or at least that's what he thought until I told him my grandfather was black and my best friend is west Indian
😎👍🇺🇲 Sleeping naked is a treat for me in the PNW. It's usually pretty cool and having some sleeping clothes on helps with the heating (electric) bill. Slippers are usually like the ones given out at higher end hotels. Typically lined with something soft and warm. Flipflops or thongs are used outside. In the yard or near water. Again, I'm in the Seattle WA area where temperatures are on the colder side. I can't wear slippers in the Philippines on vacation. My feet don't like it. I use slip on shoes but take them off as soon as I enter the room. My feet are as tough as a new born baby. At home. My work boots come off after I get inside. At $200-$250 a pair. I don't leave them outside. Then I'm in socks unless it's hot. We get about 2 weeks of hot weather here each year. Having no water supply in the CR is a good reason to hand wash the backside. Most of the hotels I've been in. Have a sprayer next to the toilet. I don't use it because I would end up soaking wet.😁 Each part of the US has it's different styles and customs. Not all areas are the same. Especially in places with long harsh winters or summers. The Philippines is the only place I could wear shorts on the daily and still be comfortable. Just adding my 2 pesos to the conversation.
I use toilet paper and then I use disposable wipes to get clean. Also sometimes after using the bathroom I'll take a shower to clean my butt and body so I'm using water and soap to clean myself like you all use soap and water there. I use wipes because they get you a lot cleaner than just toilet paper. How do they dry their butt after using soap and water in a public bathroom so their clothes don't get wet?
I wear shoes in the house but when I get comfortable I take my shoes off I also don't wear my shoes outside the house on my property I really don't like wearing shoes I like feeling the dirt and grass at my feet we were born without shoes and socks
I got sick of stepping on melted ice cubes in the kitchen or dog piss on the living room or hallway carpet while wearing socks, so I will always wear slippers outside of my bedroom, then socks everywhere else, unless I just got out of the shower.
Smile, I love to be naked all the times in my own apartment or of cause own house. If I live with others besides my gf of cause not. But one reason is because we from western countries are not use to it for very long time like 50 or more years. We learned it to be naked as almost everywhere and every one back in the ‘ 68 generation. But during the next 10 or more years we lost the feeling nearly completely. And since the 80th we almost forgot about running naked. But like I said before, I really love to run around naked. And besides I am very very seldom wear underwear’s too. This I do since I was a lot younger and now I am 65 but still doing this. Is it disgusting for you?
For shoes, we compromised by allowing me to have an indoor pair of sneakers that do not go outside, beyond stepping out for a package on our covered porch. On pajamas, I cannot understand how anyone could wear them in a country so hot, even without A/C. 😄 For sleeping, my Pinay wife slept naked at times when we were dating, but I didn't bring the issue back up and she has the habit of panties once again. I have tried to tell her that sleeping naked would allow me to wake her with sweet kisses in more places, but she still says she needs her panties. Toilet paper is sufficient for most situations, and we wife has gotten used to that. I like a mechanical bidet when I had one in Korea, but I think the "garden hose" type would be odd. Odors are not a problem. If we opt to get really passionate and do something like toss salad, we shower up nice beforehand, the let the passion flow.
All this about how people clean themselves after the toilet. It's all very commendable. However. What about the people without a toilet who go into the jungle and use leaves to clean themselves. How do they manage x
I go to bed sleeping naked unless we have company over or visiting family. Many SE Asian woman like to slumber while holding there mans lumber. It would make a good topic in a video one day. I have indoor shoes never using outdoors in Thailand. Many people can't afford a bidet but a bum gun is cheap costing about 160 PHP. A bum gun is a general sprayer used to wash your butt. I wash my butt using soap and water then pat dry with tissue. I usually take several showers a day due to the hotter climate overseas.
Thanks!

Another excellent video! Your cultural insights are great!
You have a lot of information. But if you outat a restaurant what you do how keep clothes dry or getting wet
All very strange. I still don’t understand why people (from all over) are afraid to be naked. I truly enjoy an outdoor shower.

As an American, I don't know anyone who wears their shoes inside the house beyond a few feet from the front door. If you don't have an entryway, I wouldn't leave my shoes outside and exposed to the bugs and elements, especially as they could be stolen.

Gelay naked or not, you're still very gorgeous. And anyway isn't it personal choice. Have a great day, lady your shyness is priceless. Bye

Would it be possible to speak louder or put the mic closer to you, as it is very hard to hear you.
problem with bidets is that you need to cleam them as well ..so for me id rather stay with paper . i understand the culture
Gorgeous beautiful lady would love to meet her for real 😊
What about socks. I understand not wearing shoes but i never like going barefoot anywhere. Just curious
I got sick of stepping on melted ice cubes in the kitchen or dog piss on the living room or hallway carpet while wearing socks, so I will always wear slippers outside of my bedroom, then socks everywhere else, unless I just got out of the shower.
Bidet are getting more popular in the US.

Frogs were coming inside the house when it rains there. I almost stepped on a couple of them inside the house with bare feet.
Actually the bidet is a french word not italian. :)
Yes. Bidet in french translates to be a "pony" due to the fact that a user needs to stradl the bowl in order to wash private parts.
Thailand is also bare foot in the house
I’m American and I sleep naked only when it’s hot!
My boots come off as soon as I get home
Philippines Slippers = Flip flops or sandals worn outside only
US. Slippers. =. House shoes not worn outside
Of course being naked is ok if you have privacy
All this about how people clean themselves after the toilet. It's all very commendable. However. What about the people without a toilet who go into the jungle and use leaves to clean themselves. How do they manage x
They use Coconut leaves, its softer than Cactus. True as i'm laying down.
As a filipina its good to be naked in bed 😅fresh feeling cya unya di alimoot e sleep☺️

You're lucky, you could live in Germany without any problems. and get married in Denmark.
