Good, informative video! Care and love are very important, but I would also add men of all ages would prefer drama free relationships. When we are done for the day at work, home should be our sanctuary. We want peace after a stressful day. I'd assume that would still apply for retirees.
If you married a young filipina, you have to prepare for the day you will leave her. By prepare, I mean you should have things set up so that she can maintain a comfortable life after you pass. Whatever you do, don't leave her a lump sum and expect her to use it wisely. Make it like a monthly withdrawal rate as filipinas are notoriously bad with money over and above the daily necessities. I've seen it numerous times where the filipina is left with a lump sum and her first purchase is that new porsche convertible. After 2 years, she's penniless and has to take up a job if she can even find one.
My brother, I believe this applies to all women. If you can, and your lawyer knows the lingo to account for general inflation/deflation, that would be the way to take care of your other/family, well after you are gone.

Gelay On the age gap dating matter I found it very interesting that you and other Filipinas do you not see the “old face” of a foreigner, but see him as exotic regardless of his age. So there is almost an age blindness to westerner appearance?. Therefore The Filipina is free to concentrate on the qualities and financial stability of the man, not his age. Very insightful to an American like me. something I have never Heard before to explain why age gap doesn’t really matter. i’ve watched many Vloggers for years from the Philippines but you are the first to explain this! it is a wonderful thing and I thank you for helping us understand. I have visited Dauin twice now and this insight helps a man be less concerned about his age when looking for a younger Filipina. Great video.
Yes first time I've ever heard that. Funny thing is I have always been attracted to Latin culture and see exotic faces and many times dated 10+ yrs older than myself
Maybe meant dining out with young Filipinas. Lol. I actually don’t think so because I’ve watched a few of her videos that get a little raw in conversation…
I heard of a similar situation with an age gap like that, and the older man's friends and family expressed concern that having sex with such a young girl at his age could be dangerous. He replied, "If she dies, she dies." Actually, that gives me hope--I'm 75. I have a friend in the UK who got married , for the first time, to a nice woman from Hong Kong when he was 66 and she was 36. They're still together and doing fine about eight or nine years later.
A lot of older men choose the Philippines because they loved it and loved the people from their time in the military. When the United States pulled out of the Philippines, it cancelled a beloved port of call for many Sailors and Marines and like myself, I deeply miss the people and the climate
You have knowledge beyond your years - and well said - it needs to be said - with compassion - and sensitivity. Well done and i hope you will do more. THANK YOU. I was married to a lady from Palawan for over 25 years and she is till with me - tho she past away 15 years ago - life ends but the relationship does not. She is still with me...
Wow ! 23 ? I have seen most of your vids. I thought you were in your 30s. Very impressive your world views and stunningly intelligent and insightful content. Well done building this channel. Your family is delightful...I enjoy them very much. It's fun watching what is happening in the background in your vids featuring your family and the province 🙂
@@lorandmagyar Whoa, say these exact words to an American woman of the same age and you'll get a big fat "excuuse me"! No matter how smart and insightful you say they are.
I can sum up for you. A younger man has more time and less money or no time and no money. An older man has the money but not enough time left to spend it all. For an older man, companionship is more important and intimacy is just a bonus.
The number one reason is English is spoken in the Philippines. Signs are in English, they drive on the same side of the road. There’s a good relationship with the US because the Philippines used to be an American colony. The climate in the Philippines is an average of 82 degrees Fahrenheit. Has far less to do with woman than it has to do with being able to live well on a fraction of the salary they received while working. Rent for a 2 br apt is normally under 200 dollars per month, lights are under 60 usd and water is about 6 usd per month. For me these are very good reasons to choose the Philippines if you’re retired.
Smile, your video makes me happy. I am 65 and from Germany. I have a gf way up north in the Philippines and I don’t have a lot money. But, we love eachother and of cause, we see eachother for 4.5 years and next time we will get married. Hopefully in church
Hello Gelay. I just became a new subscriber to your channel. Thanks for a great video with good information on the people and living in the Philippines.
Hello Gelay my first time viewing your video. Very well done your intelligence and smile simply amazing. The topics you spoke on are truly realistic. Just 1 correction: The Americans did not "Colonize" the Philippines. The Spanish-American war (1866-1898) ended Spains colonial empire of over 300 years of BRUTAL treatment, massacres' exploitation of wealth ( The Manila Gallions) by Miguel Lopez, de LAGAZPI of Filipinos after Ferdnand MAGELLON was killed at MACTAN ISLAND, Now CEBU. Filipinos had there freedoms restored by The Americans and complete sovereign independence was granted in 1946. The Americans didn't massacre Filipinos during WW2 . It was the IMPERIAL JAPANESE ARMY, That raped, burned, beheaded, and BAYONETTED, women, men & Children ( including babies in diapers) ( look @ historical war photos of the Manila Battle. The Americans never even came close to treating Filipinos as subjects.
Hi Gelay, I just want to say I enjoy your content. And your English is very well I’m on my way to the Philippines and would love to meet with someone like you 😊 keep up the good work
i'm in my 70s but look like 60s. it gives comfort knowing that young ladies in the phillipines can appreciate the wealth and wisdom of old westerners, you are a sweetheart
If you're over 50 the only thing these women will want from you is money and security you will get scammed thinking that you're going to compete with attractive 2030 and 40 year old men
The only thing they appreciate is $$$$ Start reading books at 70, go for walk have some ice cream in the park. Invest your money in better things like a real doll
You are such a beautiful young lady. I pray that God pours His blessings out upon you. I've learned more in one hour of watching your videos than I could've ever hoped for. Thank you! 😘
Your way of thinking is so beautiful.. Makes me want to come there and someone like you loving and caring and honest.. It sounds so good we don't get this in the USA at least i have never experienced this kind of affection and caring. It seems we are mostly just used for finances that is why so many leave the rat race to retire with beautiful lady as yourself in the Philippines.. Why are you not married you seem like the perfect woman and have such heart filled words it is so moving for me to watch you. and the catchy titles of your videos ahhahaha 🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍😘😘😘
I live in Asia. There is a delusion with western guys about 'a better life in USA or UK or wherever'. Life is better in southeast Asia if you are comfortably off. Why would a filipina (or Thai, Indonesian, Vietnamese etc) want to go to USA? Away from family and culture. I'm not saying that it can't work, it can if you live in SEA, maybe married for 5+ years, she knows your family and has travelled with you many times... AND she is keen to move at some point
They want to go to USA for better opportunities. It's all about perspective. Living in SE Asia is good for westerners with money. Not so good if you're a local looking for a job. @pulau6481
I actually don’t have a preference, all I want is someone to love me the way I will love them, to be honest, loyal, happy, feminine, trustworthy. If she appreciates, respects me loyal to me , gives me attention and be faithful I will move mountains for that woman. I am a very loyal person to My family and friends and whoever is in my inner circle. I don’t know if I could live in the Philippines, more like Vietnam, Malaysia or Thailand. I don’t want to young of a woman and I’m 59, we wouldn’t have much in common and don’t want someone to just be w me for my Money.
I sent a reply to you! But it is in the main reply section area. Look for it about the 3 year tourist visa program in the Philippines. Also everyone speaks English here in the Philippines!
Old men didnt choose Philippines, they chose HIM. He has 193 countries to choose from. Why does he go there? Because they chose him. He went where he is treated best
Warmer weather is nice ! But I love snow skiing 👍. I mostly live in Indiana. But also have a beach condo in Myrtle Beach. I chose this area because it still has 4 seasons. It gets cold...but not like Indiana. I would like the Philippines...but would prefer to live part time there and part time in the US. It's just so damn hard for Filipinas (and their kiddos) to travel. Whereas in Columbia it's much easier for women to travel. Still... I would love to visit the Philippines. I was on the phone with "Bela" who said she was working at a call center in Dumaguete. I didn't realize there were phone centers there.
I'm 84 and have been living with a 24 year old philipina for last 5 years.we have great sex life and same hobbies etc . Its great. And I'm not rich so its not about the money.
I admire you and enjoyed all that you had to say today. Im an early retired airline pilot from Florida, USA and im also a medical doctor. I"m ready to move to the Philipines and ask you out to dinner.
Hello, you said you have a temperature from 25° C to 30° C. Is this where you live or around all the Philippines? Because I have been told the temperature were much higher, up to 36° C with high humidity
I made four times holiday in Cebu and Mindanao. It doesn´t matter if its 25 or 32 degrees. It´s the high humidity all time , what makes foreigners exhausted, but with time they adapt. Starting with air condition 24 hours a day and later only using it during night.
My wife is from Manila. She came to America in 1986. She took a trip back home in May, back in the 1990s. She said it was so hot, the wax melted out of her ears. Her brother was living in Winnipeg and he traveled back at the same time she did. He had to take about 5 showers a day. I have never been there, but I did spend a year in the Mekong Delta, 1968-1968 US Army. I hated the heat and humidity there, so naturally there is nothing to interest me in the tropics. We visited my Sister in Florida once. Stayed about 10 days in late December and early January. It was close to 90 degrees. As we were pulling out of the driveway my sister asked me, "When are you coming back?" I told her, "When Hell freezes." I never returned, and that was 33 years ago.
Consider that it is 30-33 during the day - in the shade! Its so hot you cant even go to the beach its too hot even in the water. And if you are in the sun its a sunburn immediately. And it is very humid like in Finnish sauna all the time. It goes down under 30only late at night like around 9pm and 25 is only early in the morning. Most people in PH live at night and sleep during the day or wake up very early like around 4am as its the only time you can go outside do anything. But again - they don't have streetlights and sidewalks so going anywhere at night is dangerous and stressful. Thus most people just sit at home inside there condo all the time and never go outside.
I wish more American women thought that way, all they care about is money, me, myself, and I, some even think that way over their own kids. Trust me sweetie,Love and care is all I’d need…I’d take care of everything else in life. ❤

My asawa is older then me and she is the hardest working person I know. Her values are very inline with mine and we have so much in common (we grew up in the same age). There is one very big advantage to being with a well established Filipina in the Philippines and that is they have connections in their community most would never see, all my asawa's batchmates are established in the community and many have jobs that are great like doctors/lawyers/judges/teachers/business owners/government employs. This community resource tree when you include their family's reach places you would never believe. She is also from Dumaguete!

No Counting money just giving, receiving, loving, Give for her basic needs....the spending never ends.
Hopefully in church
hold your money. don't buy a house there.
No one should be dominated...It's about love and mutual respect...Character is a must...
Hello Gelay.
I just became a new subscriber to your channel.
Thanks for a great video with good information on the people and living in the Philippines.
Gelay..this was my first video of yours. At 23 you are so wise and insightful. Thank you for posting
Hello Gelay my first time viewing your video. Very well done your intelligence and smile simply amazing. The topics you spoke on are truly realistic. Life can be tough so its true enjoy it together keep it fun , exciting and most of all caring for each other. I can see you are obviously a beautiful and caring young lady. Thank you so much
So many talented and articulate bloggers in the Philippines. Gelay is one of them!!
Offering care and love is a great offer, don’t sell yourself short. You seem like a great person. 🙏🏼
Hi Gelay,
I just want to say I enjoy your content. And your English is very well I’m on my way to the Philippines and would love to meet with someone like you 😊 keep up the good work
Because young foreigners can't afford to stay in the PH long term, Meljean can attest to it
The younger guys don't stay, it's this simple
TOO BAD..................................lol
@@netizenplanetshoot n scoot
They need to go back and work to live
Meljean has earned enough that she can afford to choose a young man and not have to choose an old man sponsor.
Hi beautiful, you are so wise. Thank you for always being there with information about life and love. You deserve happiness and a good man. ❤❤
Thanks for the great information Gelay
i'm in my 70s but look like 60s. it gives comfort knowing that young ladies in the phillipines can appreciate the wealth and wisdom of old westerners, you are a sweetheart
She’s farming you for views. Just saying what men want to hear
It's the wealth they want, don't fool yourself believing it's anything but.
If you're over 50 the only thing these women will want from you is money and security you will get scammed thinking that you're going to compete with attractive 2030 and 40 year old men
@@chrisellis9689exactly 🤦🏽
The only thing they appreciate is $$$$
Start reading books at 70, go for walk have some ice cream in the park. Invest your money in better things like a real doll
You offer everything a man could hope for, love kindness and care, this is all a good man want's or need's.
Dear Gelay, I love your channel and the wisdom you bring to it. So how do I get to chat directly with you? Or better yet, to meet you in person?
My Filipina wife is my everthing!!!
That was such a heart felt conversation. You are wise beyond your years.. ❤
Thank you so much!
Best wives ever, just treat them good and paradise will open the door.
Just remember the best way to a Filipina's heart is to love her family. Supporting her family is traditional, don't be a cheap Charlie.
And you Gelay, what are your expectations? What are you looking for exactly ? A long-term relationship ? Marriage ?
Gelay, you are such a sweet and charismatic girl it’s amazing. I wish you happiness in your life wherever it takes you.
I'm 50 and looking to give a Phillipines lady a great life here in USA. And willing to help her family
Don't bring them to your Country
Bringing a bucket of sand home from a beach makes quite a mess.
@pulau6481
Wisdom way beyond her years! Joe
Takk!
I actually don’t have a preference, all I want is someone to love me the way I will love them, to be honest, loyal, happy, feminine, trustworthy. If she appreciates, respects me loyal to me , gives me attention and be faithful I will move mountains for that woman. I am a very loyal person to
My family and friends and whoever is in my inner circle. I don’t know if I could live in the Philippines, more like Vietnam, Malaysia or Thailand. I don’t want to young of a woman and I’m 59, we wouldn’t have much in common and don’t want someone to just be w me for my
Money.
I sent a reply to you! But it is in the main reply section area. Look for it about the 3 year tourist visa program in the Philippines. Also everyone speaks English here in the Philippines!
Get a dog
Very lovely video, thank you.
Your insight is refreshing and you will make someone a great partner. I’m starting the process now to make the move. ❤
One more thing many veterans have medical and if he’s a good man he will have insurance or property and savings
I met my young Filipina in 1986. Now she is an old filipina.
Enjoyed your video! Very informative. I hope to go to the Philippines next year. I am a mobile app developer with Apple & GP. Have a great day Michael
Have a blessed night/day, everyone, and stay safe!
Thank you so much G, salamat po. Your intelligence, kindness and communicating is excellent.
Hi Gelay and Ty for your videos! ☺️
Old men didnt choose Philippines, they chose HIM. He has 193 countries to choose from. Why does he go there? Because they chose him. He went where he is treated best
Thank you for this excellent video!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Enjoyed all my visits to the Philippines and had a great time
Warmer weather is nice !
No thanks I'm already taken, but I have younger sister who is over weight she has 3 kids she's 23 years old I can set you up with her if you wish sir.

You guys crazy but😂 funny as heck. Leave him alone guys, go man get your partner you work hard for whatever you get.

@@VittoShulman thank you. This is why I am going to a mountain.
I wish more American women thought that way, all they care about is money, me, myself, and I, some even think that way over their own kids. Trust me sweetie,Love and care is all I’d need…I’d take care of everything else in life. ❤
Good video but I think it was kind of Clickbait on what your opening comment was on the head of your video. You’re a super lovely young lady though wishing you great success.
You are not selfish. Care and love are everything. What we both provide are equal. It's gave with love.
Gelay, you are the sweetest most soft spoken woman I have ever heard. Your videos are very heartwarming. You do a wonderful job! keep it up! and god bless you.. Curtis
very informative vlog my friend thanks for sharing this about foreigners
What old people chose to retire to the Philippines
1. English is widely spoken
2. Cost of living
3. Not appreciated in their home country
Great advise about keeping track of every bit of money that you are spending. This is a very valuable post filled with really good information. Thank you for taking the time to present this post to the world.
At least you are honest this is my first time watching your show
thank you. when I visit, I surely want to meet you. In your video, there was nothing about what the title suggested.
Very Interesting and Great information
I subscribed just because you're brave enough to title this video what you did
I would have subscribed if it wasn't clickbait. Unfortunately, she never mentioned it and talked like she had no idea how suggestive her title was.
21 wonderful years knowing my filipina bride !! ❤ We re still very close and still wear each other out 🔥😁
We’ve been together for 48+. And still wearing each other out
My asawa is older then me and she is the hardest working person I know.
Yes can't wait to taste phillipina food 😁😉😘💯😜😜😜😜😜👏👏👏🤔😜😜😜
Good explanations of the culture. Nice self-description/promotion at 09:33 too.
She is very sweet, and thoughtful,. I wish women here were like her, sweet, and kind 😘

Belay, I would like to visit Philippines, and I have a friend who says Cebu would be the best place to visit. Where do you live and what’s your opinion?
