That was fun. Thanks so much for your well explained step by step videos because I need step by step lessons. ❤️
Thank you so much Norma for all your support and lovely comments.
Lovin ❤️ the videos... keep them coming 🤗
Thank you Nichols... we are really happy that you enjoy them.
I love this function and use it often. Have also found that doing a single image HDR merge is a great option to use in the editing process.
I completely agree, Tim! I use it often too. Especially on low-light captures.
As always, Jakub, a great video!
Thanks a lot Tim!
Hello. I have noticed that in the develop processing on images with a polarizing main filter, the blue sky acquired a dark halo. Any tip?
Hi Rory, it's bit tricky for me to say without seeing the photo or the edit. If you want, you can send it to me directly at jakub@borsphoto.com, and I will have a look.
Luminar is literally killing the game. I never wanted to start with photoshop and with Luminar, I don't think i will need photoshop anymore.
That's the spirit... 🥳🥳🥳
Thank you for your excellent tutorial. Is it possible to export images from Lightroom directly to the HDR Plugin in Neo, and then return the processed image to Lightroom?
Hi Martin, it's a feature they are working on, but at this moment, you can only export one photo at a time to Luminar NEO from Lightroom, so, therefore, it is not possible right now. Folders have a workaround for this, but it requires a more complex setting. We will try to do a video on this soon.
Great tutorial! However I wonder if I launch Luminar Neo as a plug-in from Adobe Lightroom, I have "Presets" and "Edit" tabs (well translated from Swedish which I am using), but not "Catalogue": How can I invoke the HDR when launching Luminar Neo from Lightroom? I currently launch Aurora HDR this way from Lightroom, but would like to try Luminar Neo (yes Adobe Lightroom has HDR merge built-in but the Skylum products are much faster to achieve certian looks). Any suggestion?
Hi Roger, thank you for your question. You are not the first to ask this, so I should probably make a video about this 👍 I asked this question on our last conference call with Skylum. At the moment, the Luminar plugin is only able to move one file between the applications, so there is no access to HDR Merge there. It is something they want to introduce, and they are working on it, but it may take a little bit of time.
Another good video.
I have 2 seats for Luminar Neo and also have 5 seats for Aurora HDR 2019.
Strangely, HDR Merge works on my laptop, but not on my tower (which is the computer that I use the most).
On my tower, no HDR Merge folder is created and creating my own does nothing.
I've been back and forth with Skylum for 4 or 5 days now, trying what they suggest and still it doesn't work.
Very frustrating.
Looks like sticking to On1 photo Raw 2022 for now.
The hdr function is working perfectly on that :)
Both my computers are windows based machines, with decent gpus....
I am very sorry to hear that... very strange that it doesn't work.
@@CleverPhotographer Hi mate.
It's been sorted.
Been back and forth with Skylum support (who have been awesome) and it turns out I just needed to run Neo with admin privileges....
Do photos have to be in raw format to use extensions?
Hi, Alan. Thank you for your question. No, they don't have to be in RAW format. They can be in any file format supported by Luminar NEO. However, following the idea of blending as much information as possible, the result with JPEG or other lossy formats will not give you the best result.
@@CleverPhotographer Thank you.
Hi! Thanx for the great tutorials! Quick question (should know by now): I own a Neo subscription and I understand I'm entitled to the HDR extension for free. How do I get the activation code? Many thanx!!!
Hi, yes you should have it with subscription. Just click on the little puzzle icon on top left corner of Luminar NEO and install it from there.
Hi, This lesson is show how powerful about HRD. But I want to know something.
1) Can I use a single photo in HDR Merge?
2) How can I install a single photo to "HRD Merge"?
Ho John, thank you for your message. Yes, you can use a single photo in HDR Merge. All you need to do is to drop it on the tool in the Catalog module and then press the "Merge" button.
Did i miss the section where you use HDR preset and edit from there?
Hi Reuben, I am not sure what you mean. Can you please let me know which section you talking about!?
I just bought your Powerbundle in order to get your HDR presets and have no idea how to unzip it (if that is necessary indeed) and then how to add the presets to Luminar Neo. Do you have an instruction video for that, PLEASE, thanks! I also did not receive an email from you confirming my purchase.
Hi Beat, there is a full library of tutorials on each of the assets including the presets. Just login and see how to use them. For the confirmation email, please check your spam folder. For the zip format please follow this tutorial: www.google.com/amp/s/www.wikihow.com/Unzip-a-File%3famp=1
@@CleverPhotographer Thanks a lot Peter, I managed to import your presets, your tutorial videos are excellent! No email though (checked the spam immediately), but I seem to have access to your website so no problem. The zip file instructions seem very outdated, but I think I will be able to find out, thanks!
Seriously??? a simple function like this, 50usd ?!?! hell noooooo.
We will leave that decision to you, Pedro. Thank you for your comment anyway 👍
One word I would never use with HDR is simple!, as for the price -you get what you pay for.
