Airwolf had the coolest theme music.
TV was great in the 80's. This is my nostalgia highlight.
Caitlin though...😍🥰❤
@@applejacks971 Marella was much more my taste. Though obviously we were supposed to have the hots for Caitlin. I probably liked her as a kid in the 1980s but Marella appeals to me a lot more.
Great show
I love this show sooooooooooo much
Airwolf was the k.i.t.t. of the skies.
This was the knight rider of the air even though the helicopter didn't talk back and stuff, with a more serious vibe as a whole in general was somewhat new as an experience!
Look up Airwolf theme metal Symphony, you will not be disappointed.
Blue thunder was a modified gazelle
Airwolf had it.

Stories
All was missing was a closer in style.
I loved it but the four season let it down a lot
I myself only watched Airwolf, seasons 1 to 3 okay @paul011979.
When I wasa kid watching this show, I wanted to become a pilot and fly a Bell 222.
I watched the show to see the lady in action
As most males in this era I watched it but knew pretty much everything about Airwolf was BS. No way can a helicopter go supersonic. Neat looking chopper though.
Who was the senior director or non deputy director of The Firm. Did we ever find out? Or was Deputy Director pretty much as good as the top dog in "The Firm." If I remember right there were a few occasions where even Archangel's butt was on the line so he can't have been supreme top dog .
The committee were the overall bosses but 1 man was at the top called Zeus the committee sanctioned most missions including building 2 other versions of airwolf which were also stolen it seems all creations of airwolf were doomed the minute they were built
Having been involved in rotary wing flight test in the military this stuff is nothing but holly weirded up. Just like many military things that they get in their heads and make movies out of. If you really want to know what it's like sign the papers raise your hand and join the military. Thanks to all now serving, those who have, and those who will in the future. FLY NAVY!!!
Howdy. Air Force Veteran . . . I don't think the show ever tried to be anything but near-future science fiction. And while a rotary wing of that design would certainly NOT be that capable, we've come a long way since then. Not that we need a rotary wing vehicle to go supersonic, but imagine what speeds something like this could achieve compared to normal helicopters. Stories don't have to be "real" to inspire the imagination of tomorrow.

The one episode in Russia strangely looked like HAIKU VALLEY KBAY
I never watched it because it was a competitor to Blue Thunder a much cooler looking Helo and I loved the movie.
This was an obvious rip off on the theme with a lot of corny characters. And since the BT show was so bad I didn't feel like settling for this show. Even the helicopter was boring and the excuse that it was supposed to look nondescript to "blend in" was just so they could use an off the shelf aircraft.
Admittedly it had some good ideas and actors especially Borgnine, a favorite of mine. But instead of making it more realistic it was just too campy which was a theme of so many 80s era shows. Gone mostly was the grittier more realistic and to many duller plots and characters of the 70s.
If it had been original and not an obvious attempt to capitalize on the success of the BT movie I might have watched it. It also struck me as a Night Rider in the air sort of show. Anyway it was a success and that is all that matters
Is this John Badham...?
Season 1 was good. However by season 3 it did get too campy and more family friendly.
@@cfisher11 I would say by season two the show became more about domestic issues over espionage (Natural Born and The American Dream are examples of this), which worked for Knight Rider, but so much for a big, missle laden helicopter. Season three had some really cool episodes (A Horn of Plenty, Airwolf II, which should've been a two parted at least, and Fortune Teller). Season four did have some decent story elements, but its execution was godawful in most respects!
@@cfisher11 Maybe I will watch the first season
I like both helicopters.
