I'm in the small group where hardware replacement was needed to replace the 3.7 update. Touch screen was not working after the update was first applied (car was in workshop for 2 days). For second time, car was in the workshop for an entire week. They needed to order/install a new infotainment screen (maybe also the new CPU running it) and that's why it took so long. Luckily got a replacement car and didn't need to pay for anything. Now it's all working.
I had the update done fairly early on in the campaign. It went flawlessly and took around 5 hours as well as having the MOT (annual safety certificate in the UK) carried out. The only issue I had was the delayed charging issue which also effects charging through octopus intelligent as well as solar excess. It was a simple easy fix though as you detailed. From what I understand based on what my service tech was telling me, is that when updates go wrong it is because the internet connection dropped. That's right, there has to be an active internet connection between the computer running the update & Ceriads servers. My service centre got around this by using a network cable rather than using a WiFi signal & to date hasn't had any update failures. In terms of how it is with the update; -The Infotainment system responds much quicker & hasn't yet frozen since the update. -I feel like I'm getting much better efficiency now in August than I was in June (when it was warmer but before the update was carried out) -Obvious improvements in the software, such as charge speed data, consumption data in the cockpit display, improved HUD animations etc... So all in all I would definately recommend the update especially to those on 3.0
The best advantage in my opinion after updating to 3.7 was that I was able to buy from shop the high beam assist(couldn't buy it before the update) . That was a huge upgrade to the functionality of the car for me.
I got mine updated from 3.0 to 3.7. I had my car at the workshop an extra day, but it was only because the car prior to me had trouble updating. I think it had something to do with Skoda's servers. My update went fine and my car charged without problems the first couple of days. But the recent 2 days it has not been charging. Gonna try the fix mentioned with removing the fuse no. 3 and see if that does the trick. But all in all very happy with the update. Nice that they have fixed the issue with the heating of the wrong seat. Didn't know that, but it really bugged me last winter 😛Also nice with some longer range. Thanks for a great channel and an informative video.
Enyaq 60 06/2022 updated during warranty check, so one day operation for me. I had also 3.7 as version in app. It looks to me car is working better than before the update.
Great video as always thanks. My IV60 is booked in next week for the upgrade and to fix the charge port cover, the USB sockets that have fallen behind the centre console and the squeaky sunroof blind all jobs that need fixing before the warranty expires next year.
Thank you Thomas for your work. In my opinion you should ask how many tesla got to workshop for an update? None. I have gone to the workshop for every single update for my enyaq. That's the main problem. All the updates should be over the air.
Hi Matthias, I had my iv60 2022 update to ME 3.7 carried out a few months ago. This was carried out whilst my car was in for repair to the GPS module in the sos control unit ( wrong location showing on map causing car on acc to brake for non existing road layout). The car was in for 3 weeks so I don’t know if the ME update took longer or went trouble free however the mapping has been fine since. I had a subsequent issue whereby the car wouldn’t start a scheduled charge as the charger could not wake up the car, this was also solved with a software update. Fingers crossed now all appears to be good. My dealer was great kept me informed and provided a courtesy car every time mine was in the garage. They too appeared frustrated with the processes they had to follow which caused time delayed.
I had my Enyaq updated in May, it took more than a day, and when I got the car back next day, the infotainment app showed it was on version 3.5, which we then wondered about with the service point personnel. But then the next day after an OTA update (I assume) it showed v3.7. Also, I've noticed AC charging issues since the update, that the car doesn't recognize when the power comes on in the home charging box (it's timed to power on at night only), and so it doesn't start charging automatically, like it used to before the update. I'll try this fuse reset trick to see if that helps, thanks for sharing this tip!
@@electrifiedspeicher yes, it seems to have worked! Car is charged up this morning even though the charger was powered down yesterday when connecting to it and was timed to power up at night, and then the car again recognized it could charge. This is great. Easier to schedule charging through the home charger than the car's built-in scheduling which has to be enabled separately every time you park it at home. Great tip and hack thanks. 👍
I got my Enyaq updated to 3.7 in Denmark. During the update the workshop ran into some issue. They did call me to inform about the situation AND a free car was provided to me while they were fixing the issue. I'm happy and my enyaq is running better. Even fix my issue with the very unstable lane assist.
Got the update end of June and it works fine until now. Best improvements for me are that it is more stable and that I get consumption data in the Cockpit. Consumption seems to be a little better and just after the update I noticed it drives slightly smoother in a way. In my town there are a lot of low speed bumps, and at 50kph with ACC on, keeping it on 50 was a bit jittery. With ME3.7 that jitter is less. Also I’m almost certain that when ACC stops my car behind someone in front of me, it stays Ready longer to start driving when the car in front starts moving. What is definitely not good: Laura still doesn’t understand anything I ask, or doesn’t work at all and Battery pre-conditioning still doesn’t work. For the zillionth time; the hardware is present and works, it’s just a software issue. By the way: I totally agree on what ‘Langstreckenfahrer’ summed up about Skoda. Very well said. By the way 2: Thanks again Matthias on another great video 🤜🤛🏽
I have Enyaq coupe 80x produced December 2022. When I picked it up from the dealer at the beginning of October 2023 it was updated to 3.2 (asked precisely what was the version 😊). No issues with SW apart from the fact that it could be faster. Battery preheating is not an issue for me as this could be a problem during the first DC only on long trips (I have CarScanner and do jo-jo for 5 min before arrival to DC), on the second DC battery will be warm enough even during the winter season. For DC charging I saw 175kW when I arrived with a SoC around 5%. So no issues in general and if 3.7 can improve efficiency even for 5%, I'll take it😊, but haven't been contacted by anyone about the SW update yet.
@@Today_I_Want_To I go with 'min temp' above 25°C. I don't have huge XP with this exercise, but once I tried to arrive with almost 22°C and it was not enough for the max power. Today I came with 32°C (without jo-jo) at 20% SoC and got 150kW
Update 3.0 to 3.7 in late June done simultaneously with 2 year service. Took 3 days includiing a weekend but no malfunctions since. Loan car offered but declined. The biggest disappointment was the cost of the service which included unnecessary things - change brake fluid, regas the a/c, pollen filter change. Some I could have done myself, but the reset of the service indicator was the only useful thing done, which only Škoda can do allegedly.
Service costs are crazy. Same here in Switzerland with my 80x ENYAQ last year...seems they try to make money with EVs like they do with Combustion cars
I have an 80x from December 2022 running 3.2. Going to the dealer in 2 weeks time to fix other issues (fucked up lighting from the door mirrors down on the ground on both sides) and asked for a SW update. Looking forward to it because currently still suffering form plenty small bugs
I have update my 80 in july in portugal and worked every thing fine, they gave me a rent car for 6h, the time it took. Finally the stability control is fixed that the update to 3.0 make it worse .
My car had a broken board computer when the previous update was installed (3.0.1 or something). So Guess what.. the update to 3.7 didnt go flawless either; update took 1 day longer and gave also airbag warning. So i already asked them what the warranty is when an ota kills a module.. dealer says, not possible because otas are small. He also said with version 3 you will always need to go to the dealer for bigge updates. Version 4 etc would just be ota. I also had one major problem: in d mode the recouperation flippers were sometimes not working (as in: no braking and no regeneration even though it said in the onboard displat regen was at 3, but blue bar not appearing). I have made a video of it and gave it to the dealer. Hopefully after this update that dangerous problem also is away
Updated first days of the campaign at the dealer in Bucharest. Car in at 8:00, out at 13:30. This update made the car more usable. One issue I am facing only 30% of the time is that if the car is unlocked and not used for a few hours and I connect the charging cable nothing happens until i wake up the car. I either have to use the remote to unlock the already unlocked car or simply open and close a door. Then the car wakes up and starts the charging process. Got into the habit of opening the rear right door when connecting the cable.
Personally still waiting for the update, while I'm having strange issues with headlights.... the beam height can't be setup from the console anymore, and after a quick tour to the garage they "fixed" it by basically setting it manually to the correct height and ignored the custom "electronic" setting... I'm so pissed at my garage... Also, I discovered the tailgate lights are not illuminating and the garage simply told me "basic models don't get these, so there are in fact no light bulbs or leds in the box"... I find this super strange, and I don't trust them at all, so I'm on a journey to find out if it's true or not.
Mine was updated as one of the first in Denmark and it went smooth.. I only had to do the fuse trick. After the update I do have some problems with Ac charging still. Often it will only charge at 3-4 kw. After some tries, it will go to 10kw. I think it's amazing that people still buy the "old" Enyaqs. The software is slow, clunky and not very good compared to many of the other brands. The car itself is pretty good though. But I won't be buying a Skoda again ever. They just don't take their customers serious enough or the just don't care.
My enyaq 80 - 22 was upgraded from 3.0 to 3.7 back in june. Took about a day but the car feels much better now thanks for the kwh display meter in driver display. Apart from that haven't noticed any changes compared to 3.0. The softare is of course slow but as a swede having a Volvo as my previous car, im used to poor software. I also have a feeling the car is a little bit more efficient than before with less kwh/100 km. Overall happy with the car, but do not like the Skoda alloy wheels and the chrome around the car (not Sportline or Rs), so will look into having a chrome delete in the future together with new alloy wheels. Swedish Skoda decided it was the best idea to go with chrome for standard 80/80x and 85/85x enyaq cars
My Enyaq coupe 80 (09 2023) has the version 3.7 from the delivery. Since 2 weeks, it has become very unstable: during each trip (daily) the infotainment main screen shuts down and restarts automatically after 1 or 2 minutes. Strange because no update has been installed lately. Does anyone has the same problem recently?
Yes it does and it works. You can only have one provider registered at any point. Activating a new provider (Octopus iny case) deactivated the old one.
For me the worst part of this update is that the speed signal recognition is way worst with a lot of ghost braking, my update took 5 days including the weekend
I currently have 3.2 version and still no update to 3.7. I mean, this is really terrible service from Skoda... this was the last electric Skoda for sure. If they would invest more in a quality sw department then this would be a much better car..
