It’s been a great machine.
I bought it new in 2016 and it has 720 hrs on it now, these are the first real replacement parts that I need.
Great example of why you should buy quality tractors.
Get the seal part numbers and call NAPA. The numbers should be legible on the seal. Otherwise, ask your dealer for the numbers. NAPA carries many service items like seals, oil filters, hydraulic filters, even hydraulic hoses if need be. They can cross reference OEM part numbers.
Where are you located? Who is your dealer? My local dealer carries front seal parts on the shelf. My local dealer explained this is the same axle used in the T264 and T25. There are 10s of thousands of this examples of this tractor axle around the world.
@@TonysTractorAdventure This video was deceptive and nothing more than a hit piece.Even though TYM states they are not discontinuing Branson, Tim puts "Branson Gone" in the beginning and ends the video with the same scare tactics of his previous video which he recommends watching. The entire video discredits Tim and undermines his testimony. I wouldn't be surprised if ryanlang was just trolling.
Tony, this seems to be the exception. Overall, comments seem to be saying service/parts is good.
Every company that buys out another company starts making changes before you know it. Be careful on what brand you buy. They all have the same sales pitch at the beginning!
Thank you so much for this video. We have a Branson that we bought Jan 2019 and it's not even paid off yet. When I heard about the merger - I was worried. We're old enough to have lived through these things many times and pretty soon your equipment is no longer supported and you can't get parts or service. This really helped take away some of the anxiety. Thank you again.
Great video, I shopped around when getting rid of my bobcat skidloader and settled on a 22 TYM 574. It's an excellent size being just above compact into utility size. It's a hot seller for them and for good reason it comes packed with a ton of stock features many other companies charge for.

I bought a TYM T264 with a loader and backhoe back in October, I have 22 hours on it so far, and I love it. It does what I need it to do.
TYM builds the best tractor for the dollar I’ve seen and I’ve been around the AG industry for 43yrs.I like yanmar but Kukje engines are phenomenal and what I’d choose over anything else in their class.! I just hope this merger/consolidation doesn’t hinder their great build quality! They’ve made engines for Deere and Cummins! TYM offers 4 models that I’m aware of with Kukje engines that still have a mechanical Bosch injection pump with a completely separate dpf system. Engines will run regardless. Any of you hear heads like myself can read between the lines here I’d hope!
Thank you for that about this change, explaining it to all US viewers of your great channel. For people that are concerned about a Tractor model going out of production on Parts. I will say with my 1978 Backhoe, it STOPPED production in the mid 80s. I found a great local heavy equipment Repair overhaul shop by me. They even carried the independent Rear brake Lock out controller.
It is a system with a switch on the front loader, to lock out each side on rear brakes, NO double foot pedals. I was a hound and found a Marine service shop for vessels, that were going to throw OUT my Hydraulic filters (they were not selling) I bought all 5 they had left in stock. YES it is hard to find parts on Farm equipment that is no longer made, but believe me there are places you can find parts. The big problem is guys who are far from the metropolitan area, where many different parts sales places are. I knew my backhoe was outdated when I bought it. But for me it was a Restoration fun for me, just like my 1971 SeaGrave Fire Engine, everything is outdated and no longer made. I have never had an issue with not finding a shop who can still work on my stuff, but like I said, for a guy FAR from service shops, you have to really think about what you BUY. Will you get service CLOSE to your small Farm or just big property when your subcompact needs help.
I just bought a Branson 3620R a couple of weeks ago but only have about 3 hours on it over the past 2 weeks. This is my first tractor. I do hope that they continue to provide support for this tractor. Not sure of the sales number for this tractor but it is a beast. It has done everything I have asked of it. I put in 14 post this past week and it only took me 30 min to drill the holes with the 3pt post hole digger. The dealer is just down the road for me and he has been selling these tractors and also TYM for many years. He also worked at the Branson factor in Rome for years before that. That has sort of lead me to piece of mind about my tractor. Now as far as the company still suppling parts that may be another matter. Will just have to hope for the best.
The Branson 20 series and 25 series frames are far superior to anything offered by Deere and Kubota for thousands of dollars less cost. I have the 3725 and compared to my neighbors' tractors of similar horsepower, mine is like a monster truck next to a Mazda pickup. Moved a bunch of 2000 and 3000 lb landscape boulders for a neighbor last week; this tractor is a beast......
@@briangc1972 Dang some of the parts are hard to find on them though. I tried looking for a rear window replacement for our 4225ch after I accidentally smashed it out a while back putting the backhoe on it, and you can't find any of the glass parts for it on Google anywhere. Other then that, they are beast of smaller tractors. 👍
Thank you for the insights and your comments Tim. I purchased a T394 about a year ago and there were no dealerships in my area. With their Branson purchase, I now have a local dealer I can go to for parts and service. It sounds like I made a good purchase as TYM seems to be expanding their market share and, since it came with a Yanmar, that's just icing on the cake!
TYM's looks, lifting capacities and price tag smash John Deere. Deere has been shitting on farmers and homeowners for years, and that mentality is clearly carried into the dealerships. Absolutely the rudest and most stuck up people I've dealt with. Several dealerships visited and all had the same piss-poor attitudes. They assume that people will buy the name no matter what, so they don't even try to act like they care if they get your business or not. I, personally, am glad to see other competitors take away their market share.
I think you have an attitude problem and are looking to be upset. I've dealt with two Deere dealers for 30 years. Both of them have been nice, easy to work with, and always friendly.
Perhaps the insane inflation and increasing APR rates are having a affect on small tractor sales. It's my understanding that Deere has no more zero APR offerings for the 1 series for example. Since a lot of these small machines are bought by homeowners they typically do not directly make money with them, I believe these things matter. Anyway, great video and thanks for your prospective Tim.
Deere still offers 0%, on Compact Tractors, but for a shorter term. These offers are good through April.

Great content Tim. Thanks. Nothing more to say that has already been commented on here in the comments section. I'm fortunate to have locally Deere, Kubota, New Holland, and Kioti dealers who have been around for some time and offer great parts and support. TYM and Branson do not have local dealer support so they are out of the mix. Hope this merger is successful. Competition is always a good thing.

We bought Kubota BX23S end of last year.. it was cheaper (from Kubota Chattanooga) than a Branson from the local dealer

I mostly agree on getting tractor from the manufacturer, but dealer support matters a lot. My local New Holland dealer has a great reputation for product support. The LS dealer not so much…
I recall reading the TYM/Branson press release and thought the same thing. Made me think of how many tractors Daedong makes for other companies (Bobcat). Although I do hope that Bobcat is able to get a facility where they can make their tractors here (unless they already have one.)
Bobcat was not at the show this year. If they had been, I had planned to ask them for an update.

There is no question about which tractors will be cut from the lineup. People just don’t want to say it out loud. LoL. You did touch on the real question tho, how long will they continue parts support for the Branson tractors.
This is why I bought from a major manufacturer. I know they will be around for a lot longer and parts are available.

The Branson tractor my father purchased was one of the worst decision he made. Constantly had a no start/hard start conditions that the "dealer" could never fully resolve. When he passed, nobody in the family wanted it and it took a long time to find a buyer for. Green or Orange would have been 100x easier to deal with locally.
My advice is to never buy a rebranded tractor. If the company selling it didn't design and manufacture it, then they don't have control on parts availability and you can't count on long term parts support. Local dealer support is extremely important to long term operation of any brand of tractor.
I'm in Southern California. I had a branson tractor, and parts support was really difficult. I switched to kubota and haven't needed anything other than filters and fluids.
I've never heard of TYM before seeing this, but I _have_ heard of Branson (I have a relative that owns one.) Yanmar tractors here in Michigan are seemingly non-existent; I know of only ONE dealer, about 50 miles north-west of Detroit. They usually have just 8 tractors on their line, none of which appear to be more than 35hp machines. When it comes to Yanmar mini excavators here in Michigan, however, they're a dime a dozen! Not the slightest idea where they're being bought from. Kubota's got quite a stronghold here (there's at least 3 dealers within 30 miles of my home, just north of Detroit.)

Another informative video. I am intrigued with the TYM tractors. I have seen several videos of happy customers. Now that they bought Branson, there is a dealer about 45 minutes from me. Not sure if I will be buying another tractor anytime soon though. I just bought a Massey GC1723E a few months ago. I chose Massey for the dealer. The dealer sells Massey and Kubota and has an excellent reputation for service after sale. It is still an independent dealer with the owner's name on the sign.
One thing I've noticed with tractor brands at least in my area, is if you want a particular tractor that isn't a John Deere, Massey Ferguson, CASE, New Holland or Kubota you'll have to travel for it. My area is mostly tractor brands that are bought by farmers for doing larger farm tasks. There is a Mahindra dealer that is a 30 minute drive from my house but it is the only one in this area. LS Tractors have also made their way to this area as their own product and not being rebranded New Holland. But again, they're the only dealer in the area.
The dealer I got my Massey Ferguson from also carries Kioti but they tend to carry more models of Massey Ferguson's. They have a broad choice of Kioti's ranging from small to big but there usually isn't a lot of each. Whereas with Massey Ferguson they tend to have three bigger utility tractors, three or four compacts and a bunch of little sub-compacts like mine.
As for brands such as TYM, Yanmar or Iseki none of those brands exist in this area. If you want something from them you usually either have to travel to another area here in NY or possibly out of state. So your choices are limited if you're not willing to travel for it.
Informative update on the TYM Brand especially for those considering a tractor purchase decision. Blessings.
For everything you mentioned, that's one of the main reasons for many years we have always gone with John Deere.

I think the best outcome for tractor production is volume, volume, volume. My family and I have various brands of tractors-- when shopping for parts, there are often subtle differences between years and even within the same year. That makes it impossible for the dealer to stock every variation of every part. I have to agree with you on the 68 different tractor models -- that's too many. However, if there were more common parts between models (e.g. same filters, same seals, same seats, same electrical harness, same relays, etc...) used over more production years -- the model count wouldn't be as much of an issue, nor would the cancellation of a specific model in the future. I'm a computer engineer -- and the PC industry standardized a lot which resulted in a tremendous boom in the use of desktop computers at lower cost to the consumer along with greater repairability and flexibility in upgrades. TYM, LS, Kioti should get their heads together - it would really be better for everyone all the way around.

Tim, very good and informative video. What it comes down to is that anyone who is entering the tractor market needs to do their homework and don't just buy something because it's a few dollars less and look into the future. Whether it be parts availability, service, trade in or resale value.
I love my Branson 2610H. I looked at a lot of tractors in the 25 HP range of all brands and choose Branson for multiple reasons. The part issues that you bring up here can affect every tractor manufacturer out there. What's here today can be gone within the snap of a finger. I deal with these issues all the time in the automotive industry
Same tractor I have. I am concern about parts. Had a warranty issue and it took a fair amount of time to get the part.
@@cpcoark I have not had an issue with mine its a little over a year old and has 230 hours on it. Anything I wanted if the dealer didn't have it he got it quickly. Getting parts are issues with everything doesn't matter tractors automotive motorcycles. I can not tell home cars and trucks we have sitting on our lot waiting for parts maintenance parts to hard parts. We even have vehicles sitting waiting on thermostat tans filter breaks its just crazy

I have a 2020 2610h it has 873hrs on it. All I can say is good luck to all of you. I'm on my third radiator an fan. The mounting bracket for the radiator, battery, HD cooler will flex and destroy the radiator $800.00. I have had the wheel bearings replaced 5 times. The loader picks up more than the front bearings can handle. Now the sad part is the pins in the loader are so hard they yoke out all the pin holes. Branson does not honor there warranty very well. So my opinion is take it out in your front yard plant flowers around it and forget about it. Absolutely garbage.
@@tomwilliams4327 Sound more like abuses to me. to me just because the loader picks that kind of weight doesn't mean you have to keep doing it and if the machine is flexing you are carrying too much weight or you have a backhoe on it and doing too much sideward digging or just using the tractor outside its spec design of use. Maybe you should have bought a bigger tractor. I know a few people with the 2610H and I don't know any of them having the issues that you speak of here or any at all for a matter off act. There is not a manufactory out there that equipment won't break or have a problem with there machines especially if they are being missed used
That "incredible price" you receive today may explain the parts and service you can't get tomorrow.

Wow a lot of good Info. I Think I will keep my commitment to Green. Even though they are not perfect by a long shot ( High price for parts and service and limiting service Info) Both of mine have Yanmar Engines!! I can get almost any part even for my older tractor very quickly without it being shipped all the way from Korea or Japan. (Warehoused here in US or made in US). If green could only fix their problems with Green plastic parts cracking, breaking, etc. Thanks for making this video. It will be a great reference for. the future. Please continue to make more of these videos about all the different brands and who makes them. More info on all different types of attachments and their manufacture would also be a great resource for your viewers!! Thanks Again!!

I'll stick with my kioti for now. It's been a great tractor and the only reason that I'm shopping is as I get older I would like one with a cab since most of my use of it since retirement is snow removal. Also my dealer in my area is great with helping answer questions and their service is remarkable.

The marketplace is full of late-model tractors for sale. It’s the polar opposite of 2-3 years ago. The prices on new tractors is still relatively high I think. I agree on the rebranding of things. Frontier is one of them.
NFMS 🚜 was definitely a massive show! It was great catching up with you! I really like the new TYM T130, I know a lot of Kioti dealers are starting to become TYM dealers here in NC.
I first saw the tym's when my local Rural King started carrying tractors and liked what I saw then started looking them up and found Mike Morgans channel when he had the RK tractors. Rural king is pretty popular store here in Southern WV where as the tym only has a few dealers and most are at least a hour away. But I definitely had like a lot of the features and the heaviness of the TYM built tractors period a lot of people say that their unsure about a new tractor brand type thing but I also remember when Kioti tractors first came onto the market. we have an original 1994 25 horsepower kioti tractor and it has been a wonderful tractor and has been relatively trouble free the entire time we have owned it
When id spent my time 4 years ago searching out for the best tractor for me id looked at all the different brands out there even the branson tractors…glad id chose to go with the 2020 john deere 1025r, no byers remorse here, just wish i had gotten the backhoe when ordering my tractor back in the day…..talk about lessons learned..the hard way..

i love my TYM 474 cab tractor. A/C is important for this south west Arizona weather. I recommend this tractor.
I have a t494 shuttle shift, it’s a good strong tractor. The mechanical kukje diesel will be serviceable by my self after warranty period
No way they will continue building separate tractors that are nearly the same with 2 individual brand names. Will continue to build them in the foreseeable future means less than 1 year. Doesn’t matter it’s apart of the times of our economy. Service is the key after the sale regardless of brand.

Tym is a growing brand, many youtube farms and homesteaders are running tym. If one fit our needs and had a good price we would not mind having one.

There is a Yanmar dealer here in western NC called 4x4 country. It’s actually a Cub Cadet dealer and sold tractors under Cub Cadet when they existed. Now that Cub Cadet brand of tractors is no more they are now a Yanmar dealer and Cub Cadet dealer so essentially they sell Cub Cadet mowers and equipment and sell Yanmar tractors as well .
Love my Branson, I'm hoping the TYM takeover improves after-sales support when it's needed. But my next machines are likely to be Kioti for the smaller ones, and keep Deutz-Fahr for larger needs.

You would pick a tractor with a yanmar or a very common tym engine for long term parts here in ireland tym supply zetor tractors with tractors from 75hp down you will find rebrands are going to become more and more

Agree. This stuff is really interesting. I still am not going to buy a different color than the traditional orange or green. Kioti might be an exception if I ever live in a place that has a dealership, and that dealer has been around a long time.
I would like to see TYM team up with a company that makes attachments for there tractor lineup.
Just looked at the 4815/4215 and the 474. Branson 15 series tractors are much better than the TYM 2 series tractors in my opinion. I will be buying a 4815 later this year to replace my Kubota.

Very interesting. I would have mixed emotions too and have dealt with some of that in the past. I can remember owning Agco legacy brands and CNH legacy brands. And as long as they were extremely popular models, we've been getting parts for 50 plus years after the fact. But on many models that were short-term and not popular, the cost of parts got to the point we got rid of them. I would hope with all the partnerships and mergers the TYM is doing, they take the best aspects of both brands and come up with a common platform. 68 models. I would hate to be a parts guy in that situation. And as time goes on, if they don't consolidate they're going to lose customer base and dealers. As for yanmar. That's a brand I just about completely stay away from anymore. As long as they have some kind of a ties to Deere they will never market a full line. This recent merger acquisition deal does show something. Even Kubota is investing heavily in opening new facilities very soon. So that means everyone wants a piece of the US market.
Yanmar is expanding their product line and they need to hit the sweet spot with a good mid-size compact with about a 70in wheelbase. Right now the jump from the YT2 to the YT3/YM3 is a big one. The YT235 is a little too small and the YT347 is a little too big. Sounds like it’s faster/easier for Yanmar to rebrand a TYM tractor chassis and drop a Yanmar engine it than to engineer a new one.

I have a RK24, It's a nice economy tractor. With that being said I'll be looking at a 2038R soon. I drove 100 miles to the closest RK store and there are no TYM dealers near me. The only plus is RK added all the filters and some parts to their online store , so no going to the store to pick up stuff. I assume my tractor will go for 10K when I sell it.
At least I haven't heard of tym taking anyone to court for working on their own tractors!

They need more dealers that don't look like "retailers". I seriously looked at a TYM here in NH a few years ago and there was and still is only one dealer in all of Northern New England. JD on the other hand has 4 dealers within an hour of me. JD got my money
There's only one TYM Dealer in New Hampshire, so far. There's 3 in Maine. I bought a TYM T25 and am more than happy with it and the dealer I bought it from.

This new makes me a bit nervous. I have the RK55 and for 4 years now it has been trouble free. Now im worried about parts and support in the future. Hopefully TYM continues to make parts for this tractor. I read on the forums that if you cant get parts from Rural King you can get them at a TYM dealer. I hope this lasts. You SHOULD be nervous. I'm sorry to be blunt, but the likelihood of you receiving good support if you have a serious issue in the years ahead is low in my opinion. RK fired the guy who put together the RK/TYM deal. He has now gone on to his next 3rd party tractor deal ...Summit Tractors. Historically, he is the same guy who worked with Cabela's to introduce their short-lived tractor line. You should be glad you didn't buy one of those!
It isn't about the quality of the tractor. ...never was. Rather it is about the stability of manufacturer (and middle man in this case) supporting it. Will RK stick with this line through the upcoming economic slowdown? We'll see.
While your tractor was built by TYM, it has many changes/upgrades which make it different than the TYM version. Some parts will be available because they are generic. Others are specific, and may be difficult to find.
Again, I don't mean to be rude. We have been consistent in our messaging. Stick with the major long haul manufacturers. The joy of the "low price" is long gone when the support is needed.
@@TractorTimewithTim I agree, even though tym sold RK the tractors, the warrenty is not provided by TYM... I do own a TYM and any parts i need generally take a few days or even a week at most.. but i also dont use it to make a living. (if i did it would be a CASE,JD,Kubuta ect...) I have two local dealers and both are very good about any service needs i have had.
Unless it was a garden tractor of some kind for small-time personal use, I would never buy a rebranded tractor.
This is because at the end of the day, there is a needless middleman between you and your tractor’s supply tail.
That’s no problem when things are good. But when things go sideways, you are screwed for parts.
Almost bought a Branson at the local dealer but the financing was trash. Maybe the tym will offer better loans. Ended up going with a more pricey kioti 2610 and love it. Good Financing

I have a 3015r Branson second time in the shop for 4 wheel drive issues not working (550Hours). This time fixed and tested but make clicking noise. Dealer pulled apart again and found 2 broken gears. This is getting disappointing and have work backing up. Have been so happy until now.
What problems did you have the 1st 2xs u took it in to have checked

I watched a fellow come into my local Deere dealer as I was buying a new 1025r, he asked for a trade in. Guy said they no longer take bobcat, Branson, and tym in for trade.
…and I suspect you could add Mahindra to that list.

My opinion on rebranding is that the broader partnerships/building lines is mostly fine and parts aren’t much/any worry (LS building CNH(CIH and NH), Yanmar built Deeres, TYM built stuff (mainly as they supply themselves, RK, Zetor, and I believe a couple others with complete CUT lines that are basically identical so someone should have parts), Iseki and Masseys partnership, and I’m pretty sure I’m forgetting something. They’re long term partnerships that build manufacturer lineups. Stuff like the Yanmars would be more worrisome to me, if Yanmar adds their own machines to fill those gaps the TYM machines will likely be orphans.
Well thought out video Tim. I wouldn't be quite as concerned about future parts availability as you say here for a couple of reasons. One is that there is quite a few parts that are used across various models. For example the same engine is often used on a few different models. Also, things like transmissions, loders, drive shafts, and many others are used across models. Second, history has shown from the likes of John Deers, Kubota etc. that parts are continued to be supplied for a long ago discontined model.
Many examples of tractors for which parts are difficult. “Montana” and “Cub Cadet rebranded Yanmar” come to mind.

Great info Tim! There is much more going on behind the scenes than they are letting on. Not to mention how many dealers TYM is going to lose because there were Branson and TYM dealers close to each other than now can sell the same tractors- makes it hard on those small dealers now trying to compete with each other. I like their products but not a good time to buy one.
I think that is a fair take. I would not be comfortable buying one at this time.
It may position them very well in the long term, but the short term will be painful.
Main issue for me….which models will be retired? I would likely buy the wrong one.
This is a real thing. I my area Missouri/Oklahoma. There are now more Tym/branson dealers than John Deere. Within a 3 hour drive I can now reach 7 Tym dealers.
I will stay with John Deere. Sounds like future issues to get parts and knowledgeable service, if it's even available!
I’m looking at the TYM 2515 for a few properties I maintain.
Seems like a capable tractor without the regen, fuel computer and emissions crap.
Several models share that chassis and engine by the displacement and power is less on the 2515.
Seems that there are going to be a lot of these models sharing near identical parts with the Similar Branson models.
It looks appealing to my needs and I’m also more interested in the gear drive shuttle shift version as opposed to the Hydro model for numerous reasons.
As a first time tractor buyer would this be a good decision?
I’m a mechanic by trade so I can do most of my own work if need be.
I just don’t feel like shelling ojt an extra $10-k for a similar Kubota.

I think you would be happier with hydrostatic transmission. Lots of folks think they want gear drive, but a few minutes with a hydrostatic tranny shows how handy they are.

I agree but I have heard a lot of guys that don’t like the hydro lag when torque is needed especially going up hills.
Also the price to replace the hydro trans is $8000.00 compared to a $4000 rebuild on a gear drive trans bit yes I wholeheartedly agree with you on the ease of use in a hydro unit.
I’ve had a couple hydro landscape implements and although nice the hydro lag has always been a turn off.
TYM also makes Zetor (not available in the US anymore).

Buying the off-brand tractors is what you deal with, never know when or if they will be around for years or if parts are available. Kubota is a full service and manufacturing brand tractor, Kubota from front to rear plus all the Land Pride implements. Their Kmac insurance is a full coverage insurance that cover your tractor for all types of loss.

A very informative video. Question 1: What happens in the case of a TYM dealer that is close to a Branson dealer? Question 2: Sounds like Yanmar may be getting out of the tractor manufacturing business and concentrating on making components, mainly engines? You cited a Yanmar dealer in Indiana no longer selling Yanmar. Maybe TYM will start making all of the Yanmar models? Question 3: I wonder if New Holland with switch over to TYM to produce their line. Will TYM buy out LS? Sounds like a major shake up in the works... I guess we'll have to stay tuned. Thank you for the information!

2. I’m not sure we should read that much into it. This is really difficult to predict.
3. I doubt it. Both LS and TYM are major companies in Korea if I understand correctly. I doubt CNH has any reason to switch partners. I hope they don’t.
Recently purchased a TYM T25. I love this tractor. The dealer was also a LS dealer. So the grapple I purchased is a LS Grapple. Works great. I don't know about other dealers. But, the tractor I purchased. Had extras on it. I got the Bluetooth speakers and rear remotes. I was told these were not even on the invoice from TYM. Is this common?

That's why I believe in purchasing a tractor from a company that's gonna be there over the long haul. I prefer JD or Kubota. I know there are other well built,excellent tractors out there, but a tractor is normally a lifelong investment. You need to know and trust that they will still be around in the long run.
Good video but I will take issue about keeping the dealerships. The deal I purchased a Branson 2610H from "said" they could no longer sell them, but they could still sell parts and do warranty work. They now are selling Kabota brands.
