Either, the rhythm guitar somehow just covers it all up. Or, then it's just for the sake of the video. It looks like he's doing octave plucks, which makes me think it's fake slap bass, because at least those tend to be heard, while all I hear is chugging riffs. And while it looks like he's mimicking the lead guitar one octave lower in the riff at 00:21, all I can hear is guitar. I would expect to hear the bass at that part.
Fuck all those haters who say how generic this song is... it's just an awesome piece of modern metal music, and I really enjoy listening to this over and over again... you guys should really tour through Germany with TERRAFORM UK ;D
