excellent video Sage! I saw your az rides on Strava and was looking forward to the vid. I squeezed in a south mountain ride back in 2019 while a on a trip through Phoenix and only got a taste, but loved it.
OMG wait till you see the other places we hit in AZ Sam. It only gets better. We even ran into Jeff Lenosky on Day 6. He put me in his latest video which was super cool of him. Stay tuned for mine.
@@TrailSage that's awesome I'll have to check that out. Unfortunately I was there for one day and had to pedal from the rental place so I basically just hit national. Did you guys do that 24th street descent from Mormon? I had a friend that was just there and said it was pretty legit
Gorgeous! Holy Moly!!! It's awesome you have a riding buddy for sure! That looks like a super hard climb up the waterfall-legs have to be burning! Mesmerized by your video!! Especially downhill! Sage- you and Danny are super brave to be riding on those steep areas-and your crash-yikes! What an amazing trip! East coast ripper! Let's go-Benny Hill music-hilarious!
More to come from this trip stay tuned Kirsten. Thank you for watching and for the kind words. I know you don't mountain bike so the fact that you take the time out to watch this means a lot.
That was a pleasure to watch Sage, great video and you both rode awesome. A fantastic place with beautiful trails and great stuff. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work buddy. Have a great time and take care. Ride on
OMG Todd the exposure in some spots was legit! So happy to have the opportunity to do this trip. I have 5 more days of riding coming up so stay tuned brotha.
Great views! Loved this "That's my story and I'm sticking with it." I usually hike Telegraph Pass four times a week. Pyramid Trail is DIFFICULT!!! Great bloopers at the end! 😀-Val
Amazing day you had, wow! Love all the different terrain! Cool cactuses! I’m glad your fall was not a bad one. Some of those trails had pretty steep drops. Sage, I hope you and Dan got another ride in before coming home!
Place looks Baller Sage!! And I suppose it one of your videos wouldn't be complete if you didn't search out every "Alt-Line" on the whole trail!! Hahaha Nice work mate!! Great video as always!! :D
1st ride for TrailSage in the southwest! South Mountain is like riding on the moon... crazy and barren terrain. You were slaying it too! Great video brother.
Ever son e I was a kid I have wanted to go to Phoenix, Arizona. I think I first saw it in a BMX magazine. This video reminds me of the fascination I had with it as a young boy. Great shots and wonderful terrain. Your videos are really really good. Very engaging and wholly entertaining.
“We’ve let the east coast down” 😅 you’re good. As someone who was born and raised on the east coast (toronto) and now living on the west coast (Calgary 🏔) it’s all good! But i do miss the east! It’s been almost 2 years here. Anyway, my son and I are enjoying your video! It’s very well done! The fact that you got my 7 year old’s attention it’s a win! We love it Sage! Keep rocking the awesome content!
That is awesome Daniella. I can't even keep my own kids attention, lol. I appreciate all the love and support, thank you so much! I will get you on a mountain bike one of these days ;)
@@TrailSage KIDS LOL! Oh, you know it! Like HOW CAN I NOT! Every time I go for one of my walks I see mountain bikers and even talk to a few at times because i like to take the bike trails with my dog as they're off path and shes a crazy puppy just attacking everyone! It's a goal of mine trust!
Amazing riding! Beautiful scenery! There was a point where you were climbing a ridge with a drop-off on your right when my vertigo kicked in! Insane but fun! Keep pushing Sage!
@@UltraTrailSteven Dude, I couldn't believe how different this place was from where we live on the East Coast. If you get a chance to visit AZ it is totally worth it. And yes, cactus would have sucked, lol. Thanks for watching Steven.
It is a gorgeous day indeed. Amazing ride with besties that cover each other. Pedal strike? It a must I guess! Never actually consider Arizona but I do now. SUBSCRIBED!
No, the crash was caused by some big rocks that caught my tire. The GoPro does not show how steep, or big, the rocks on in that section. If you get a chance to visit AZ I highly recommend this ride. Thanks for watching.
Finally got around to checking this out properly. What a ride. Honestly loose traction is one of the hardest things to gain confidence on for me. Glad you didn't land in a cactus😂
Absolutely nuts stuff Sage! You boys looked like you had a blast out there! That looked like a bit of a prickly bush 😂 I agree with the outtakes you both made it look easy! 😂 Awesome video as always Sage! 😎🤘🏻
Used to ride these lines in the early 90s , on my Og Stumpjumper Fs lol i used to ride from Tempe and back. 😅 thanks for video was able show my son what it looks like
Very cool video. Glad your fall was not on a cactus. I did Javelina Jundred twice out in the Fountain Hills area which is East of Phoenix. The Phoenix area is amazing for MTB and running.
Great video Sage! You and Danny put out some amazing content together. You’re climbing skills are out of this world. And I still love what you consider to be “fantastic” 😂
Thank Jose. I'm jealous that you get to ride SoMo all the time, but I totally understand getting bored of it. I have a few local trails back here on the East Coast that I have to get creative with to keep it interesting, lol.
Amazing video Sage. That waterfall climb seems really difficult, but I bet next time you'll clear it. Amazing climbing skills and awesome willingness to try again whenever you fail to clear something on your first try. Kudos to you! Ride On dude.
Great riding as usual Sage ... rock climbing is ur thing for sure lol ... also share some of them problems with me lol I need to drop some weight as well hahahah

Ah! There it is! I’ll be back later to watch this in full! Saw this on my notifications and I had to drop by and say I’m excited to watch this!
OMG don't hype it up to much. It's just two middle aged mountain bikers failing and crashing all over the mountain, lol. Hope you like it Daniella
