THIS is AWESOME! I love Eberhard's "Colours" group, especially when Charlie Mariano was still with us, but this ensemble functions like a mini-orchestra! - and the textural palette of Frisell, and Lyle Mays is superb! RIP Lyle Mays - You brought us a Great Gift from that place you have rightfully returned to - The Source!
💯👋💯👏💯❣️
RIP Lyle Mays
art of listening....you have good taste in jazz....
I can't stop! falling in grace! Awesome!
I listened so many times and always seems so musical beauty
Great Live Jazz...by Masters !...
Lyle Mays made it Magic !!
Dont know if you guys cares but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all of the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my gf lately :)
@Weston Josue Yea, been using Instaflixxer for since november myself :D
I love Weber's music!
Something about this one👍✌️Thanks again
I had no idea this album exists, thank you very much!!!
A great channel... Thanks
Il tocco di Lyle Mays... è unico.. lo riconoscerei tra un milione di dischi senza copertine...
Thank you so much :) Utube has removed all the best pieces of Weber. Well, I mean that they are forbidden in my country (France) :(
Yes and in the UK too a very sad loss
@@alanl4522 I've seen that it is available to premium members only, which portend that everything will be payable in the future on utube... What a terrible century anyway.
Holy Moly Jolly
I know half of the musicians featured here but somehow have never heard of this recording before. It’s stunning.
Recorded from the radio broadcast is my guess.
There's also a studio recording out there called "Later That Evening" with these three songs and others.
@63MGB1 I tried to find the album you mentioned but it doesn’t seem to be on UA-cam. Guess I’ll try discogs & google
@mybookfacetube That’s likely correct, I still haven’t found it anywhere. Not that I’ve done enough research though!
The NDR organised jazz concerts primarily for radio broadcasts in Studio 10 in Hamburg every few weeks. This is one of them. The tickets were ridiculously cheap back then, only 3 Deutschmarks (1.50 Euro), but hard to get hold of because these were only sold at their own ticket office, so you had to be quick.
This is the arena, six years earlier. ua-cam.com/video/GJp3EgvAicA/v-deo.html
Grande musica rip.lilye
Genius.
Paul Mc Candless was a friend :-)
I've seen Oregon here in Atlanta twice and also saw Towner solo and separate, Paul Winter Consort at Emory University. Lyle is unbelievable. I've seen the Metheny Group some 5 times. Frisell is totally phenomenal! He's almost playing like Holdsworth on this piece which may not be smart to attempt! Bill Frisell is a totally remarkable musician who NEVER had any problem with artistic vision. It was abundant for him!
What is the name of the genre?

Sounds like a bootleg.
This was the real broadcast:

"Finally some good fucking food." - Gordon Ramsey
The first long track sounds pretty horrible to me in comparison to studio albums of E. Weber: too many wailing annoying chaotic sax, chaotic in places, heavy drumming, etc. "Avant-garde".... I expected typical Weber's restrained, understated music, but it's not the case here :( Dislike...
