I've sheared sheep for years, second generation shearer, and that is the same way that my parents did it to save on their backs, and it works well for myself and everyone that I have taught this to. But I do agree, how we do things in Canada is very different from Australia and New Zealand.

For small scale livestock owners this technique is more than suitable. I agree with you about resting the sheep on the hip not the spine, but you come across as seriously arrogant, and if I'm being honest, a bit insecure judging by how vehemently you are trying to convince me you know more than anyone else. I don't doubt you have experience, but most people are open to alternate ideas for alternate situations. If this video helps beginners then why bother coming on and flashing your cock about?
