You had to do Ode to Joy LOL. Of all the songs, you had to pick that one to do a tab course on. Yes I know it's an easy one to do a Tab course on, my point is of all the songs that are also easy to teach Tabs on (I know you too well, LOL) I figured you pick this song. Now that I have gotten that silliness out of the way, it was seriously still a great "How to read Tablature" learning lesson and still a good easy song to start on, despite not being the 1st song someone would think of in my opinion. As for me, as much as I can, I am trying to get away from reading tabs and back to reading notation as much as I can, but if all I find are tabs for a song so be it. The easier, the easier (whatever that means LOL). If this was course 5, I can't wait for what you have planned for Course 6 since you did not say what that was. Also whether you do a Live Stream today 9/8 or next week 9/15 based on your schedule on your usual Thursday at 7PM whatever you have planned, I'll see you then. Lastly, I'll get you separately, but if you are in town Sunday 9/18/2022, Which is a week from this Sunday, Sungazer (That is UA-cam Bassist Adam Neely's Jazz Fusion Band) with the Band Wednesday Night Titans is playing at Terminal West in Atlanta and tickets are like $15 each if interested. I follow Adam Neely on UA-cam and his Drummer is awesome too. So let me know. I'll probably go either way and as I said, I'll talk to you about it separately from here and see what your schedule is like for that evening. Until the next live stream or we talk about 9/18 or both; Cheers 😀
Hey Seth! My main reason for picking a classical piece, and in particular this one, is partially the simplicity of it, and partially because it is in the public domain in case I sell the written portion of the course in the future. I wish I could go, but I have a wedding on that particular night. If you go, please tell me how it is! Adam is one of my UA-cam bass inspirations from over a decade ago when everyone was doing a bunch of 2 hand tapping arrangements. I still support him on Patreon.
@@stephencoxbass I know, just of all the classical public domain classical, I just know you too well LOL. As far as the Concert, I am sorry you can't make it. I know we saw Herbie at the Jazz Fest, but we need to find more concerts to go to or social time off of UA-cam. With that said, I am definitely going, and I will take pictures if I can, as well as a short video if I can get away with it and post it somewhere where you can see it. If there is a chance to say hello to Adam while I am on that show or any of the other band members as it is such a small venue and all that, especially if they are doing what other bands do, standing around selling merch as an example not just hanging backstage, I will say hello to you and if I can, get you something signed. 😀
@@SethIzenzon Thank you! I actually ran into Adam Neely (and also Nitti...haha) at NAMM 2019. I chatted for a minute with him about his old tapping videos. Enjoy the show! I know it will be great!
U-Basses aren't super loud due to how small they are and that they are projecting bass frequencies, so I believe most or maybe all of them have some form of electronics built in. If you are trying to get more volume out of an unplugged U-Bass, the metal round wound strings will project much better than the other varieties, and it may even be loud enough to jam with an ukulele player fairly comfortably. However, when I jammed this way from 6 feet apart with a guitar player who was strumming, he complained that he couldn't hear me that well although I could hear myself just fine. Thanks for watching! Cheers!
Excellent lesson, Stephen A big thank you

Doing well. Our uke group plays on Thursday evenings, so I miss your livestreams. How have you been?
@@Rwjudy48 I'm doing fairly well. I'm glad you are still meeting with a group!

Stephen Is There a Fully acoustic Ubass ? Thx !
