Taking a great tree and turning it into a masterpiece, absolutely beautiful, thank you. How much longer than 5.40, many hours I think.

I not sure of the cascade branches ending with a flat foliage pad on the bottom side. Junipers in nature have all the fine branches continue to cascade, in the same style as the branch. This tree seems to have two different styles, the cascading style of a juniper, with the upright pine style foliage pads. I think the branch tips should be wired down so you can see the structure of the fantastic branches. The foliage will just be where it is, not organized into lush pads. Some dead wood right to the branch tips would help justify the deadwood section of the trunk. The tree would see the same hardships that battered the trunk also on the canopy. Right now it seems to have two styles, a tough weather beaten trunk and then a lush green canopy that some how missed the harsh elements of mother nature.

I feel the same, but let us be honnest... Did you ever look up pics of old junipers in the mountains? They look nothing like you see in bonsai.
These are trees that look like bonsai, but not like trees.
Still, good craftwork and a clean job.

I feel the same way about this tree not matching the style of a natural juniper whatsoever, but I always look at the work showcased on this channel taking into account that the nursery is in Japan. The trees, by and large, all have a similar 'pine' style. Of course, this is not particularly creative, nor does it faithfully emulate what we see in nature...but, the horticultural principles and craftsmanship are top notch, and that is always useful regardless of style preferences.

I feel the same way about conflicting styles. Perhaps, for my taste, if the branches to the pads were singular, then the overall look would be more clean. Typical, branch, to under pad support, to lush pad. Open up the middle and let you really see that nice trunk!

had the same but sometimes you can want somthing to go one way but it goes the other way . i can clearly see that he didnt know what to do with the top ,in the end this will be a nice tree

And Junipers in nature don't like like redwoods.

Bjorn, it must have been an absolute honour to be able to have worked on such a valuable amazing Bonsai as this! It shows just how much they trust your talent!👍 And You absolutely turned it into a top-class BONSAI!!! 👏👏👏 Some of the comments of your work are like Bob Ross telling Rembrandt how he should paint...so funny! 😜😁 Keep treating us with these amazing BONSAI videos of yours!
    Cheers,
    Hans van Meer.

I feel there is some real pointless negative criticism......bonsai is a personal and knowledgeable input to the tree style....the final styling is, in my opinion, beautiful and balanced in all aspects.......Maybe 'Bonsai Zone' could have bettered Bjorn's excellent 'fine-tuning'.....Maybe a demonstration on a tree of equal quality by Bonsai Zone?

natural looking, styles, should be could be...just shut up and appreciate his talent. I cannot remember the last time I walked through a forest and saw a tree that resembled a wired up twisted bonsai tree.
